View Full Version : Fables Mafia - Sign Ups
Okay, the interest is there, so I am going to run it. This is a Fables Mafia game, with a bit of a Mags twist.
For this game, I will be taking inspiration from the entire first major story arc: the war against the homelands. This means I am starting with Legends in Exile and going all the way to War and Pieces.
Warning: This game is not due to start for a long time. All Stars just opened and this will not happen for at least a month, probably more.

I'm in. The one I ran was considerably narrower, in that it only covered Legends in Exile. I'm excited to see what you with.
A lot of what I do depends on how many people I get. Lots of people means lots of roles from the huge character pool I have. Few people, and I have to cut back.

Since this doesn't start for a month, I shouldn't be too busy. I'm also a big fan of Fables, it's one of only three comics that my girlfriend is caught up on and reading with me.

12 is a good start. Not worried yet as the game is still a long way off.
But Fables is awesome. Even if you don't read the books, you're bound to know the characters.

Speaking of awesome, I just picked up deluxe edition vol 2 yesterday.
I just picked up Vol. 14: Witches, today.
I do love Frau. One of the most interesting characters in the book.

I'm no where near current on the book. I stopped reading during the Great Fables crossover and have yet to catch up. :( I decided that I'm only going to buy the deluxe trades as they come out.

True. But that arc is ongoing, so I think it is best to leave it be.
Don't worry though, there are plenty of characters to draw from as is.

Since this one isn't going to be start for awhile, I'll sign up.
Not too familiar with the source material, but I know enough that I hope to be able to keep up :)
If nothing else, this is proving that not enough people read this book.
Come on, guys, it is one of the best ongoing series that exist. If you are not reading Fables, you need to be.

Since it's down the line and I hear fables is pretty good (so this may give me an excuse to read it), I will sign up please.

Just picked up Volume one at my local Library because of this game and now I am Hooked. Crap now I have to read the rest fast so that people dont spoil the whole series for me

I will try so mad I only checked out Volume one and it looks liek someone else grabbed the other volumes.
And i cant transfer them becasue the library is lazy and instead of making separate classification for
Fables Vol 1
Fables Vol 2
They list all 15 Volumes as one

You still taking people for this, Paul? Someone I highly respect (that'd be Truff) pointed out that another person I highly respect (that'd be you) was running a game of a series I highly respect (that'd be Fables).
(Which reminds me - when folks check out the series, don't forget to look into the Peter & Max novel.)

I like Fly when he did stuff (i.e. the Kingdom of Haven business). Before then, however, I had limited interest in his character.

He had a relativity limited involvement in the series until around then. More background and secondary plot kind of stuff as far as I remember at least.

Okay, wrote a bunch of roles today. Probably about a third done and I think some of them sound really fun. Will write more tomorrow. :)
Roles are done. Will be sending them out later on today.
All roles have been sent except Rokk's. Game will start tomorrow.
