Hey everyone,
I just offered someone Doomsday for Blackest Night (minus Mera).
My Doomsday for the other 6 figs, do you think that's a good deal?

depends, the blackest night figs are really good but the value of doomsday is a bit more than the blackest night starter set...did your trade include the map and PAC? also are you happy with the trade?

Judging from the OPs wording it seems like he has just given the offer and has not received a reply yet.
Hypothetically:
If the top part is true and I was the one offered the Doomsday I probably would ask for more because I saw this thread and the person who is trading the Doomsday is conveying that they feel that they are not trading enough.
Would I make the trade? I would take the Doomsday and trade the BN figures.

Well,
I offered my Doomsday + something for the whole Blackest night set. When I heard that he didn't have Mera, I said let's just trade them straight up then.
So I will trade Doomsday, I will receive all the BN figs (except Mera) and hopefully the map/Pac as well (because I actually need a new PAC).
The way I see it, Doomsday is worth $20-$25 according to Ebay, BN is worth a bit more, but I can get it for about $25 + tax. I AM happy with the trade, especially IF I also receive the map and PAC.
just curious, what other price guides do people typically use for determining HC values?

Many people use e-bay as well as the singles market online. After that, it comes down to personal ideology. I recently saw Susan Richards chase for 59 dollars. Personally I wouldn't go higher than 35 for her.
When it comes to trading there's even more variables. How bad someone wants a certain figure can result in less "even" trades. Then again, so can just making a trade. Here's three trades I know of that illustrated my point.
DC 75th SR Wonder Woman for AV LE Silver Sufer
WoS SR Red Hulk, SN LE Norrin Radd, a pair of inverse Red Lantern dice for KC Flash and CD LE Mary Marvel
AA Lamp Bats for CR AzBats
In every single one of those trades both parties were happy with the deal. A party in each could have probably offered more to balance it out, but that's not entirely the point. Unless you deliberately try to fleece someone, trade comes down to both parties walking away happy with what they got versus what they parted with.
Getting back to your original trade, I think I probably would have hung on to Doomsday. I think relatively speaking, the starter is easier to come by. Also, you should clarify whether the map and PAC is included before making the trade. Parties should always be aware of what's complete or incomplete before making a trade.
