Possible X-Men Team

I want to build a 300 point team with all X-men, using only veteran figures. The problem with this is, i cant seem to find a good mix of units. Uniques are probably okay, but I'm trying to stick to all vets. here is the team so far:

Veteran Cyclops
Veteran Wolverine
Veteran Jean Grey
Veteran Storm
Veteran Shadowcat

total: 295 points

Its not too balanced, but i can manipulate my position quite well by taxiing with storm and shadowcat, and using jean's telekinesis. It is great at range, because c of cyclops and storm, but it is kinda inadequet at melee combat with only wolverine and i dont have any outwit or perplex either. Any suggestions or commetns would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time.

Storm and Psylocke are a team. Betsy can deal decent damage in close combat, as well as enhance storm's 10 range energy explosion.

Beast and Rogue both have charge, and Beast's perplex can increase their charge range or their damage.

If there were a spare point left over, I'd recommend the U Shadowcat as another option with energy explosion.

Here's the xmen team I plan on building (not all vets).

U wolverine
E Gambit
R Iceman
V Meltdown
Parmedic

it lacks in close combat beatdown (asided from wolverine and psylocke's BCF) but there's enough Energy Explosion to wipe out clustered opponents (esp. with enhancement). Iceman makes the barriers for defense.

If it were a casual game, I'd ditch meltdown and paramedic and use a mod of r psylocke as Sage, (or ditch kitty in the first team and use the psylocke/sage mod to have an Xtreme Xmen team).

That does sound like a decent team. The problem is, i definately want to keep the cyclops and storm, but the jean is a requirement for the TK. it doesnt leave me much space to wok with. And wolverine just seems more fun than beast, ya know?
