Today we continue our DC 75th Anniversary Print and Play experience with none other than the All-Star Squadron alternate team ability (ATA)!

That's an interesting ATA. I'm going to check out the Units Sections to see how helpful it will be for the All-Star Squadron.


EDIT: A quick search shows that Johnny Quick will be a 50 point HSS figure with a high attack and possibly 3 damage when going after someone who is 100 points or more. Not a bad ATA at all!

wow, i could have used this last weekend... i had a five-figure, 279-point All-Star Squadron team...
in general, i like the old characters with their rich history and fewer cumbersome Special Powers and Traits... (Wildcat, Sandman, e.g.)...

I like this quite a bit.

Cheap enough to note be a major waste if there aren't high-point targets, but thematic. And very useful for Johnny Q and Crimson Avenger!

It also makes Superman a bit of a giant-killer against Tentpoles.

It shouldn't. I think they addressed that back in the first couple years of feats. The additional points only come into play when it comes time to tabulate victory points.

Taskmasters have 11 attack, 12 vs a guy with a Special or 78+ points, 13 attack if both (most characters fall into the both category)

Bat uses free jump to carry NC. Crimson moves next to Bat. Next turn Bat perplexes NC's damage, free jumps with Crimson, then HSS this transporter. Crimson clears but NC uses HSS with 3 damage dragging the target back to TWO 13 attack BCF guys. Plus Taskmaster and NC can heal each other via team or Task can use Bat's defense or shoot and run hindering free via Super Ally

Back in the day, I suggested the inverse of this for an Atlantis TA. IE, a 150 point Namor would get a +1 attack when attacking a 75 point surface dweller. Nice to see the idea was still floating around.

I've not got many of the Origins set figs for this new ata. ata point cost is low (yay!) and is a really usefull one (double yay!), just one snag, 4 of the DC 75th set figs with this keyword are SR's the cheap pointed figs need this ata to be actually usefull (IMO).. it just reaks of a cheap marketing ploy.. I had my SR wants at just 3: Bane, Ares and the Dino Beast Boy.. with Batman as a possible outsider.. (wonder woman never got better than the B&TB ae and no Superman should ever be done have doesn't have HSS/transporter boot).. *sigh* rant over.

PS. sorry to be a bit negative, just my friend pulled Crimson Avenger, Sgt Rock, Dec Chimp and SR Sinestro in the same booster, Jammy Git.

That was Golden Age Superman. He didn't even fly at first. Didn't super speed around at that time either so your rant about both characters is a little misplaced. That being said on Superman's end if you would have referred to the uncommon from the set I kind of could have agreed with you on that fact.

Anyways, what a great ATA card for a cheap cost, I look forward to mixing it in with my JSA stuff too.

I haven't got my copy in the mail yet, but the pose if from Wonder Woman #1. In that case, it's indeed Diana. Just the Golden Age version.

It is not Hippolyta. You are the victim of a retcon (and one I like). The Golden Wonder Woman is Diana, just as Superman and Batman are Clark and Bruce. The Hippolyta as Wonder Woman figure is represented in Legacy (that is the only outfit she wore as Wonder Woman, so there is no room for confusion).

You should think of the Golden Age versions as the Earth-2 versions, because that is how they are retroactively classified.
