Im going to my first Head to Head tourney this weekend and I realized I have no idea what a head to head is.

Ive been to a sealed booster, is it the same?

Any strategy advice would be appreciated!

Thanks everybody

Head to Head = bring what you have.

a head to head is when you bring your own figs. You don't have to buy anything. Stratagy wise just use your best team, oh and hav a way to deal with Firelord, there will be atleast one or two of them.

head to head is basically the same as sealed booster

except that you build your own team from your own figures before you come to the game..

Is that a good enough answer, or more clarification?

Have at least one good fig with stealth, like a V Logan or a barrier fig, just something to keep him from blasting you every turn.

If you haven't done so, call the place in advance to see if there are any house rules BEFORE building your team! Some allow Marvel/DC mixing, some don't. Some allow multiples of the same fig, some don't. Some have banned Firelord altogether. I'm going to a tourney this w/e (my first) that allows mixing but for this game we're allowed only one team (Avengers, Superman Enemy, etc...) + other figs as long as they have NO team ability, 400 pts. They change it every week to get people to try new figs each week they usually don't. Also new players aren't discouraged too quickly due to peope that use the same team all the time & have mastered them completely (no place for a newbie).
