I'm looking for some ideas. I have so many I can't keep track of them or find the right ones fast. I'm just using a box right now but there's gotta be a better way.

I've actually got three boxes right now. My IC are in the Premier Box, DC in a baseball card box (slotted plastic kind) and my CT are in a smaller card box.
Altough I have been looking into some kind of tackle box. I've heard they are good for that purpose.
Go to Walmart. They have Shimano tackle boxes that work wonderfully for HC figures.
They come in a few different sizes, and for about $10 I got 5 boxes that easily store all my figures.

The best method that I have found or heard of is good old fashioned Wal-Mart tackle boxes...
The one that I have is a four level Tan tackle box with some clear blue plastic panels. It has three smaller plastic boxes inside. It was about $25, but for how much it holds, and how nice it is to have all of my extras in one box...It seems like a good deal to Jer...
My sets are in some old style tackle boxes that aren't made anymore, and as soon as DC2 comes out, I'll have to go to the big box for sets too...
Just dig through the tackle boxes aisle at a Sporting goods store... You'll find something you like...
ETA: See there! An endorsement before I even posted! ;-)
I carry my figs in a GW warhammer fig case. there a bit expensive (around $40) but they're the perfect size and ive never had a fig break.(exept trying to turn those stupid old-school bases, yuck!)

...I've found that, except for bulkier figs, Matchbox and Hot Wheels boxes work wonders! If you don't glue your flyers (like I did) you can probably use those boxes for all your figs.

I have to agree with lavinah and DarthJer, Wal-Mart and Shimano tackle boxes. They have some with handles that if you buy two of them they'll lock together. You can get about 48 figs in two of them. My Wal-Mart sells them for around $3.98 or $4.98. DO NOT use eBay. I found what I thought to be a good buy that set me back about $22.50 with shipping but found the same exact unit at Wal-Mart for $8.99.

Walmart sells tackle boxes for $8.88, there are 4 clear trays which fit into a green carrying case with a handle. The trays come with plastic inserts that you slide in yourself, thus being able to customize the size of individual compartments. Each tray can have 18 standard size compartments which we usually put one figure into each compartment, but if need be can fit two or three in there ( we put 3 Quicksilvers, r,e,v in one). For larger clix like Mojo, we just omitted the divider between 2 standard compartments and shared the remaining space with another clix. Much better than a box. Elizabeth, heroclix widow

I went nutso and got a rolling drawer/cart type thing, plastic with two large drawers and two small ones. The large drawers hold my DC and Marvel clix respectively, the small ones hold my dupes, maps, tokens, dice, etc. I subdivided the DC/Marvel guys by team into Ziploc bags and I keep a large palstic bag in each bin in case I'm going to friends house. Then both large plastic bags go into a Canvas Bag (Like those Land's End ones) and away we go. Around the house, well, the whole thing is on wheels, so I just roll it over to the table.
I've got the same tackle boxes and I have each set in 1 box...the IC was a little hard but it works.

They sell the single level of a tackle box at a store called gander mountain. (I'm not sure if these stores exist outside michigan.)
Each "drawer" costs about 4 bucks and 2 of them should be suffecient to hold one of every figure (R, E, V and U) from one of the three sets. (I sell off or give away extra figs, my friends and I have a no dupes rule.) If you wanna hold all three sets buy 6.
I own six of these and they hold my whole collection down from my prized unique darkside all the way down to my rookie thug.
I don't know about convient transportation, but I suspose they could fit in a duffel bag fairly easily. Besides you probably don't wanna walk around with your entire collection on you.
Also from a protection standpoint they work really well. I've droped them a couple times and broke nothing. (I'm not saying you could drop them off a building with no damage, but they survived a couple of 4 foot drops.)

no better one than this!:
i live outside philly, and i went to ####'s sporting goods and got two PLANO tackle boxes. these aren't little cheesy ones. it was around 20 bucks and holds everything i need. it's tan, with a gold top. it's amazing. i have almost every fig in all 3 sets, and two of them holds em all. when xplosion comes out i'll need a third, but for the home it's perfect, and easy to carry. it has a big side part in the top to put the maps and rulebooks, dice, key, you name it! it has 41 compartments not including the big side section. don't waste money on those stupid plastic clear ones, that hold like 16 figures. i'm telling you, get this nice luxury one. top and bottom latches and sections! amazing...and when you go to tourney's pick a few teams and bring them in a smaller blue PLANO tackle box like i also have. totally unbreakable too. figures are safe.

Hey all,
I went to Big Lots discount store and found some tool box in the tool section. They had $6 and $8 tall towers. The big one holds 100 figs easy. It is 4 tiered and double sided, clear so you can see all your figs, and can hold dice, flying figs, barriers, etc.
It has a handle and is sturdy. Looks like a mini Hi-rise building sortof.
Very narrow and easy to fit between the buckets seats in a car.
