Clix for iPhone released

Hey guys, just released an iphone/ipod app for Heroclix. It doesn't do everything yet, but i didn't want to put too much work into it if Apple was going to reject it. But Apple approved it, so consider this version 1 with many more updates to come. I made an iPad version also, will probably push that out sometime soon as well. One caveat - because of a small typo on my part and some shoddy testing, it appears with this first version you cant delete figures off of a team once they're added. Dont download it then rate it 1 star because of that, i'm going to put in a fix this week for it.

The last set added is WoS because i use heroclix.com to get all the info for a set and they haven't added the new set yet. Once they update their page i'll update the database and all you have to do is download the update within the app. No itunes app update necessary.

Lasty, if you think its too expensive i'm sorry, but i spent a lot of time on it and plan to spend more as well as the cost to put the app into the app store.

gotta say from the title I saw i thought it was the actual game. as I clicked the forum to read thats when i was like. probably a team builder.

Don't get me wrong this is great. a step in the clix direction. This makes me lean towards gettin an Iphone, unless I can use it on the Ipod touch then I'd get that instead of the phone.

Now if only Neca would make an actual game either phone wise, PC wise and/or Xbox 360/PS3 wise.

I mean in all seriousness unless there is no reason not too. People would still buy the clix. It's great playin with people/Friends in person. but on that one day you want to play a game and the people you play are either busy, working, or whatnot you can play the Video game part of it.

And yes I know the one thing people may say. Copyright isses with Marvel, DC, INDY etc....

Fine we cannot have the clix all in one game. then make them seperate. and since with the clix game we all mix and match the Brands, you can still with the games, you just need to get them. that way for the single game itself. Marvel, DC, INDY would get thier share's without sensless fightin over how much more millions we don't need since we have millions ^_^.

And for that, you'd buy them all. and install 2 of them to ur PC/XBox 360, PS3, etc. and use the other disc to run the game engin it self. realisticlly(even though there would be probably a clause in it or an excuse) its no different than what we do know. we buy Marvel and DC seperate and play them together. same would go for the video game.

and heck if Neca/Wizkids thinks people may not get the clix itself(which I believe we all still would. Playin in person is always better. just good to have a side for those non tourny/people are busy days) they can release the sets up to a ceretain point.

Example: for marvel we are comin soon to the Giant Sized X-men. so say the game existed. they can have now release WoS to the game. and for bonuses if you wanted to have Giant Sized X-men now, have it when you get the brick you get a coupon to request a code for the platform you are playing on.

ok wow. I went on a limb with this lol. just always had this growin in my mind on how to get this done. Please Neca/Wizkids think on this and try to get it to work. The clix game itself worked, so why can't a digital verion work IMO.

Again to Thedishon, awsome job on ur app Hopefully you'll keep it goin and all will love it. just hope this will be the steps forward to the game itself ^_^

i downloaded the app last night. i am OK with the price. I think it is a really good start, and ignoring the bug not allowing the removal of pieces from a team, i would rate it as a solid 3 star app. once you implement some kind of collection inventory tool, the app will jump up to a 4-5 star app.

my improvement idea is that the keyword search field should be a drop down list like the other fields, and not a free text type. it is too easy to misspell a keyword and not get what you are looking for.

Just go to the store and click the buy button again. It'll say you already downloaded this item would you like to download again and you can hit yes and it wont charge you twice. If you have problems again maybe just quit the app and then kill it and open it again.

That same thing happened to me this morning, but rather than delete the app, I just closed out the program and tried again. It seems to work great! Love it already, and I can't wait for future updates!
As for your specific question, I don't know if you can (or how to) redownliad the app without paying again... I'm awfully new at this...

Also, I just noticed that when searching for figures with a specific team ability (e.g. - Avengers), figures with two team abilities (in this example, Firestar, who has the Spidey and Avengers TA) don't show up in a search FOR EITHER TEAM ABILITY. The same is true of WoS Sandman when searching for the Sinister Syndicate TA, etc., so I don't think it is indicative of any anti-Avengers bias on your part. :) lol
Don't know if there's any way to fix that, but I certainly hope so!

One more thing: some of the powers have had erratas and 'rephrasings' (found in the Player's Guides and related documents), and it looks like the ones in your database have the old phrasings... Don't know if you plan to update those, but I'm willing to volunteer my services as a free data-entry goon! :)

Apple will reject your app if you put trademarked/copyrighted words in the keywords.

As for the wrong information stuff, i'm going to get that worked out soon. I may call upon your offer to help once i have the tool built that will update it.

Thirdly, in response to the team searching problem, i'll get that fixed tonight and push it out along with the fix for the problem of not being able to delete the team members. Again, dont judge it on the quality quite yet, i really did just want to get it out there and see if Apple would approve it before i spent heavy time on it.

If you've already downloaded an app and been charged for it then it will download it again for free. You just click on it like you're going to buy it and then it will pop up and say "You have already purchased this app, would you like to download it again". I've done it with several apps that I bought on my iPod originally and wanted on my iPad.

This is a thumbs up for you taking the initiative to make a Heroclix app not dependent on the internet for the database.

I would love to see the newest player's guide incorporated into this app. Even throw in the newest Powers and Abilities cards with all the team abilities too. Make it a one stop shop for all things Clix.

Well if it helps you can click on the standard power or TA and get the description but your idea isn't bad either.

The wordings come from the WK site so if they're out of date that's why. I know he's working on a tool that will allow for edits/corrections to the database.

Alright, new update pushed out tonight. You can delete team members, people with multiple teams show up when searching by team and on the search results there is now a section at the bottom showing you the currently selected team and the total points for that team, which will update automatically when you add someone(http://clix.robotninjazombies.com/newstuff.png). Lastly, i updated the database download, so it should take only 20 seconds or so now and not be as crashy.

It takes Apple about a week to approve these releases so look for it then. Sorry for the bugs. Hope you're enjoying it so far.

by 20 seconds i actually mean more like 90 seconds. I was using the simulator not the actual phone. my bad.

One more thing I thought of that might be worthy of the next update as well...
Right now, if you wanted to search ALL sets for characters in a particular team or with a particular keyword or whatever, I think you have to go through and choose each set individually, one at a time. Could you maybe add a 'choose all sets' option to the search (or 'search all Marvel sets' / 'search all DC sets'), to save us from having to click each and every set?
(I'll be terribly emabarassed if that feature is already on there... I haven't seen it though... If it IS there, where is it, please? :) )

If the PAC and Rules are in PDF format, you can add those to the iPhone through the iBook app, just open itunes and drag and drop them on your iPhone, then go to the iBook app and in your library under PDF's they will be there for you to use.

If the PAC and Rules are in PDF format, you can add those to the iPhone through the iBook app, just open itunes and drag and drop them on your iPhone, then go to the iBook app and in your library under PDF's they will be there for you to use.

Maybe... it looks like iBooks requires iOS 3.2 or higher. I think the 3G came with 2.0 so if you haven't upgraded it, that's probably why. You can check your version of iOS by going to Settings -> About -> and looking beside Version.

No you're not. He's probably not in there yet. He's not on the WK gallery and that's what the database was built from. If it's not then it hasn't been added yet. I've sent some changes to the database but they were just that, changes. I haven't gotten to adding missing figures yet just fixing dials, keywords and all that jazz.

Not yet but it's definitely coming. Like I said so far I've only been able to modify existing figures. The developer is working on making it so I can add figures out right but that's a bit more coding than just looking one up and changing it. I'll pass along the suggestion about the rating too.

I was thinking he meant you can rate figures and it stores your rating (like songs in iTunes). I didn't think about it being like some sort of compilation. I'm not even sure how feasible it would be but I feel like I should pass along any feedback.

Has there been any discussion about basing the app database on the information in the HCRealms unit section, as opposed to the Wizkids unit section? From my experience, the HCRealms unit section is much more up to date and accurate as compared to the Wizkids unit section. I'm sure there are some technical hurdles that would have to be overcome, but I thought I would throw out the question in any event.

I'll add his keywords to the database when I get home tonight. There are quite a few missing or incorrect keywords so if you notice any more just let me know. I'm in the process of adding DC 75. I'm hoping to get it done tomorrow but I'll let you guys know when they're all entered.

V2 of the database is available. BD and DC75th are both in there now. You wont see them listed on the sets menu yet because of a slight coding problem, but after the next update that'll be fixed. Next update is almost ready and it includes all ATAs, which will automatically calculate the cost for your team, no need to add it multiple times.

If you notice any errors please let me know. I did the BD and DC75 figures by hand so there's a good chance I mistyped something somewhere or missed a combat symbol or something. I've tried to check them all but I imagine something got through the cracks.

Everything I've looked at so far looks great!
I did notice a couple things through on my last pass, though:
FCBD Iron Man (MU-200) now has his keywords correct (thank you!), but his range value is now displayed as zero range with one arrow, instead of ten range with one arrow...
One of the things I really like about the program is the accessibility of needed info by just touching a word, power, or whatever. Kudos! I did also notice on my last pass through that figures with two TAs will not display the 'definition' of the TA when you click on it. For example, when I clicked on DC75's Beast Boy's dual TA (human form - Titans and Outsiders), it just displayed 'Titans, Outsiders'. Not a deal-breaker, but not as out-and-out convenient as I'm sure you want your excellent team-building app to be...
One last thing: the phrasing of the Quake power was modified in the last Player's Guide update, as did the Fantastic Four TA (and maybe one or two others)... Any chance we could get those new wordings added in?
Thanks SO much for all your efforts. I'd be happy to help out with the needed 'data entry' (like Player's Guide rewordings / clarifications of Special Powers, etc...) if I can, just to keep this great program as up-to-date of a resource as humanly possible...

Like everybody else having a way to manage what is in your collection would be nice. Also I would love a search by point value as well as sort by point value. Would make it easier to fill in that last little bit of points with something useful.

Any chance Halo Actionclix would ever be added? That is actually what got me interested in this app. Saw my Actionclix cards sitting next to my iTouch and thought "Gee I wish I could look at the cards on my iTouch...I wonder if there is an app for that." Low and behold there was.

By the way thanks for making it so you do not need a constant wifi or 3g connection.

Umm, next week maybe? I'm not really sure. It's taking me a while to get the alternate team abilities done, plus i had to change the way it was pulling regular team abilities and sets so that when you download the database it gets that stuff also. If i left that part the way it was i'd need to push an update through apple every time a new set is added.

Also being added is sort options for the search results for sorting by name, set, points, etc. Also added filtering based on cost w/ max & min. Since i added the new stuff with the ATAs, the download/processing of the database takes anywhere from 5-8 minutes on my iPhone 4 and could be slower on the older gen devices. I'm sorry about that, but theres literally no way to speed that up. I did add a 'cancel' button to the download screen so that if it gets hosed up you can close it and start over. Once this update is out there i'll start on the feats.

Since i added the new stuff with the ATAs, the download/processing of the database takes anywhere from 5-8 minutes on my iPhone 4 and could be slower on the older gen devices. I'm sorry about that, but theres literally no way to speed that up. I did add a 'cancel' button to the download screen so that if it gets hosed up you can close it and start over. Once this update is out there i'll start on the feats.

Just to clarify, the DC75 figures should all be in there now (if you've got the most recent version of the database found in the settings tab). However the set DC75 does not show up in the search options yet. But if you search by name, keyword, powers and all that it will pull up DC75 figures in the results. I have the ability to actually add new figures to the database now. I've actually started adding the Giant-Size X-Men figures spoiled so far so hopefully when that releases we'll already have a decent amount of them in there and it won't take as long to complete.

Only problem I had was the initial db download. Didn't seem to take (I probably did something) but easily solved by a 2nd try.

First off I want everyone to understand my role in this whole thing. I haven't done any of the coding or programming. I'm not the developer. I suggested the app and have helped correct dial information and test stuff. In other words I have no monetary stake in this. I'm not making money off of it, I just knew there had been requests for an iPhone/iPod app and I knew someone who was making apps and so I offered this up as an idea.

All that said, I can vouch that there has been a lot of effort put into it. Probably more effort than is proportionate to the money being made from it. I'm curious as to what's unfinished about it. The database is being updated but it's always going to be that way. There will always be new figures or figures that have something wrong... so in that respect it probably won't ever be finished. But as far as the app working, doing what it's supposed to, allowing for teams to be built and saved, dials to be searched for and viewed offline... all of that is finished.

I should have SCAM since he's got a card and everything. With the older colossal figures it's harder because while I have them all they didn't really have cards so much as giant rule sheets. Obviously I don't want to include all that text so deciding what text to use (and finding the current, up to date wording) is going to be the hardest part. I'll try to get SCAM done when I get home from work. I'll be sure to post once he's in there.

The SI FF LEs (that enough acronyms?) should be correct now. The Sinestro Corps Anti-monitor (Guardian of Fear) should be in there now at all 3 experience levels. As far as incrementing the database version each time there's a new figure added that's something we'll look into. Right now I don't have the ability to update the version number but going forward it might be a good thing to do.

As far as the searching goes, i'll add an 'x' if i can. If you want to do a new search from scratch there is a button at the top left that says 'clear all' that will take all currently applied filters off and clear all text boxes.

Bought the app today and did a little playing with it (at work :o)

It looks nice from what I have seen and read, but I do have an idea that would be a HUGE performance boost. When I was playing around with the app I did a search that would have displayed the whole database (by accident) and it got really slowed down in a hurry. That's when I had my idea....

If it's possible, make the database so it only includes sets that you want to have... I don't have any collateral damage figs and don't want to add them to my teams.... think of the time I could save dumping everything prior to icons. :cool:

Just downloaded it today to my Ipod Itouch.

At first I was a bit worried. I started to download the file for the clix, and the screen went white. I tried deleting the app and re-install it, but it wouldn't delete. Thank God it didn't because about 15 minutes later, the app decided to load.

Now that I have played around with it a bit, I really like it. So thank you for doing this app. I am going to do a lot more team building with it tomorrow at work, so I will let you know how it goes.

When I opened up my Clix program this morning, it immediately took me to the update page, and (thanks to the new numbering on the revised database) I was easily able to see (and download) a new update! Awesome. Just wanted to let you know that that new feature was working perfectly! (Also, the 'Processing' status bar that appears after the download phase is a stroke of brilliance - it lets people know to be patient and let the program crunch the numbers instead of canceling out... Great idea!)

I still seem to be having the same problem with the ATA calculator, where the displayed cost of all the teams on the 'Teams' page reflects the most recently chosen and applied ATA, regardless of whether or not that ATA was even used on a team.

And one last thing: MU019 Absorbing Man's attack value on his fifth click is a '1', whereas it should be a '10'.

Keep up the great work! This program is getting to be a thing of beauty! :)

I would buy this in a heartbeat on the android market. The other one is good, but its not being updated very frequently and currently has a lot of key word bugs in it.

Have had some time to play around with this app now and man am I impressed. Had a lot of fun at my venue. People would say..."Can't remember what Sharon Carter's power does". I would say, "Hey, I got an app for that!!"

Found a couple bugs, not sure if it is just my app, but you may want to look into it. When I do a search for Legion of Super Heroes team ability, no figures show up. Also Phantom Girl's dial isn't showing at all.

So I've switched to using this app for all of my team building, it's so handy! We don't normally use feats at my venues, so I'm not too concerned.

Just a heads up, I can't seem to find the normal Anti-Monitor, although the Guardian of Fear, Sentinel, Sinestro, and Dark Phoenix are showing up normally.

Hi Guys -
Was just playing around with the app, doing a little team building and noticed the following:

1) It looks like none of the pogs have any combat values. The points are there, and they add to teams correctly, but when you tap on the pog to open the stats (stat?), it displays a line of KOs.... Might it be because all the pogs of a given set have been assigned the same dial / character number ("000")?

2) (And speaking of pogs, for some reason, the 'Jarella' pog from Mutations and Monsters seems to be missing... I've checked a few of the others to make sure they're there, but not all. But, also, I don't think it's a real pressing issue...)

3) Some Ultimate X-Men TA hijinks:
The Rookie and Veteran Cyclopses (?) from the 'Ultimates' set (UL-061 and UL-063, respectively) are listed as having the X-Men TA instead of the Ultimate X-Men TA...
The Exp and Vet Dazzlers from the 'Armor Wars' set (AW-062 and AW-063, respectively) are listed as having the X-Men TA instead of the Ultimate X-Men TA...
The Professor X Unique from 'Fantastic Forces' (FF-094) is listed as having the X-Men TA instead of the Ultimate X-Men TA...
Meanstreak from the '2099' set... you guessed it. :)
Exp and Vet Marvel Girl from the 'Ultimates' set (UL-077 and UL-078 respectively) also.

4) LE Thor, The Reigning (TH-105) only has his first four clicks showing when you try to display the dial, but he compensates by having them about three times as wide as normal... :)

5) And just out of curiosity, would there be any way to add a box that displays the point total of the team you're building, on the page that lists the figures in the team? Does that make sense? I go to my "Teams" page that lists all the teams I have (and under the heading of each team, it displays the point totals and number of characters on that team), click on the team I want, and the characters and their individual point costs are displayed. No sweat. But there is nothing that displays the grand total of the team build until I go back to the "Teams" page, and everything reloads. Normally, it's not a problem, but this afternoon, I was putting the app through its paces, building 3 teams at once and flipping back and forth between them. I lost track of how many points I needed, etc. for each one, and found it frustrating to have to go back to the "Teams" page before I could see the sum totals. And frequently, I'd go back too far, or clear the wrong thing, or whatever, and lose a train of thought. I think this would be an easy fix... (for the program, that is - fixing me losing my train of thought would be impossible... :) )

Have had some time to play around with this app now and man am I impressed. Had a lot of fun at my venue. People would say..."Can't remember what Sharon Carter's power does". I would say, "Hey, I got an app for that!!"

Found a couple bugs, not sure if it is just my app, but you may want to look into it. When I do a search for Legion of Super Heroes team ability, no figures show up. Also Phantom Girl's dial isn't showing at all.

Glad to hear it's come in handy. I use it for when I'm judging and a player is missing a card.

I just checked and there does seem to be an issue with the LoSH. It looks like the TA on the figures is Legion of Superheroes but the search parameter is Legion of Super-Heroes. That's not something I can fix but I imagine the difference is why it's not finding them so I'll pass it on to thedishon.

So I've switched to using this app for all of my team building, it's so handy! We don't normally use feats at my venues, so I'm not too concerned.

Just a heads up, I can't seem to find the normal Anti-Monitor, although the Guardian of Fear, Sentinel, Sinestro, and Dark Phoenix are showing up normally.

Do you know when the last time you downloaded the database was? The normal Anti-Monitor was just added this week and I haven't updated the version yet as I'm waiting until I get all the colossal figures done before I up the number. I don't want to change the number every time I change one or two figures. But it should be in there if you download the database. It is on mine at least.

Was just playing around with the app, doing a little team building and noticed the following:

1) It looks like none of the pogs have any combat values. The points are there, and they add to teams correctly, but when you tap on the pog to open the stats (stat?), it displays a line of KOs.... Might it be because all the pogs of a given set have been assigned the same dial / character number ("000")?

2) (And speaking of pogs, for some reason, the 'Jarella' pog from Mutations and Monsters seems to be missing... I've checked a few of the others to make sure they're there, but not all. But, also, I don't think it's a real pressing issue...)

3) Some Ultimate X-Men TA hijinks:
The Rookie and Veteran Cyclopses (?) from the 'Ultimates' set (UL-061 and UL-063, respectively) are listed as having the X-Men TA instead of the Ultimate X-Men TA...
The Exp and Vet Dazzlers from the 'Armor Wars' set (AW-062 and AW-063, respectively) are listed as having the X-Men TA instead of the Ultimate X-Men TA...
The Professor X Unique from 'Fantastic Forces' (FF-094) is listed as having the X-Men TA instead of the Ultimate X-Men TA...
Meanstreak from the '2099' set... you guessed it. :)
Exp and Vet Marvel Girl from the 'Ultimates' set (UL-077 and UL-078 respectively) also.

4) LE Thor, The Reigning (TH-105) only has his first four clicks showing when you try to display the dial, but he compensates by having them about three times as wide as normal... :)

5) And just out of curiosity, would there be any way to add a box that displays the point total of the team you're building, on the page that lists the figures in the team? Does that make sense? I go to my "Teams" page that lists all the teams I have (and under the heading of each team, it displays the point totals and number of characters on that team), click on the team I want, and the characters and their individual point costs are displayed. No sweat. But there is nothing that displays the grand total of the team build until I go back to the "Teams" page, and everything reloads. Normally, it's not a problem, but this afternoon, I was putting the app through its paces, building 3 teams at once and flipping back and forth between them. I lost track of how many points I needed, etc. for each one, and found it frustrating to have to go back to the "Teams" page before I could see the sum totals. And frequently, I'd go back too far, or clear the wrong thing, or whatever, and lose a train of thought. I think this would be an easy fix... (for the program, that is - fixing me losing my train of thought would be impossible... :) )

Yeah the bystanders are a known issue. They're on my to do list, probably after the colossal figures get finished. Once I get to them I'll go through and fix the stats and add any missing ones.

Not sure why the Ultimate X-Men figures were so messed up. It looks like the majority of them had the X-Men TA for some reason. I imagine they were wrong in the WK gallery. Either way I've corrected them in the database now. Likewise for Thor, the Reigning.

As for the last part, I'll let thedishon speak to it since it's more a developer thing.

When was the last time you downloaded the database. Not all the colossal figures are correct but the ones I listed in my earlier post should be in there and showing the correct dials.

As far as the ATA calculation I know there was a problem prior to the last app update that came out earlier this week. Did you download the update?

Classics are not in there right now. They can be added if people want them, I just assumed they would be a lower priority since they were reprints. But they shouldn't be too hard to add.

I have a bigger problem with the fact that I only play Modern Age, and every time I go to search, I have to filter out the 10-12 sets that apply to my search manually.

Man, for the life of me, I now can't remember where I saw the Promo Johnny Alpha keywords listed... I have the same PDF document that "Old WizKids" released when the keywords for (at the time) retired sets were revealed (at least for the Marvel sets, as I don't really play the DC ones), and there are indeed no keywords for the Batman and Spider-Man promos. However, LE Johnny Alpha got the Future and Warrior keywords... The awesome HCOL (HeroClix Online) program that Crow is acting steward of backs me up on this, so I'm SEMI-certain I'm not just imagining the whole thing... ;)
But now that you mention it, I totally can't remember where I read it. Old errata? Old Player's Guide? Maybe I'll go over to the HCOL thread and ask Crow if he can remember...

I asked in a couple places as to the keywords for the Promo Figures (started a thread and also asked on the HeroClix Online thread), and I guess those Promos with keywords (LE Johnny Alpha, LE Judge Dredd, Icons Batman) are in fact listed both in the Units section here on the 'Realms as well as in the original 'Old WizKids' keywords document that was released forever ago... I've just been doing this whole thing this morning on my iTouch, and so have not had the ability to hunt around in any true capacity myself...

The keywords are as follows:
Johnny - Future, Warrior
Dredd - Future, Police
ICONS Batman (# 208) - Gotham City, Martial Artist. (Also, I don't think you have this Batman in the database, either...)

One minor issue, the 'All-Star Squadron' keyword is 'All Star Squadron' on the DC 75 pieces. Searching for 'All-Star' only brings up the pieces from Origins. Searching for 'All Star' only brings up the pieces from DC 75. I've worked around it by searching for 'Squadron' for now, but it would be nice to get this fixed.

On the plus side, the All-Star Squadron ATA is computed correctly for both the hyphenated and dehyphenated keywords, so I was still able to build my invincible army!

One thing to note - I'm hoping searching for figs can also be done by numerical values - as in narrowing down your search for only people with at least an 18D, or 0 range, etc. I've got a wrestling style close-combat game this weekend.

Is there any possible way to periodically export the data/back it up so that if this type of event happens in the future I won't lose all my teams? Once you get an inventory tracking option working, it would really suck to have that data get lost and have to be reentered without some type of backup method.

I know if my Touch goes into standby while downloading or processing a new database the install will be corrupted. I have to make sure that I touch the screen every couple minutes (I have mine set for a 3 minute standby timer). Since I started doing this I haven't had any problems installing the new databases.

I do have to exit the program so it can update the settings screen to show that I have installed the newest database.

I'm working on making it so that you only have to download what has been updated/inserted since your last update. That should make each download only take 10 seconds or so, depending on how long its been since you've downloaded.

Similar to Behemoth, I also figured out that I had to keep touching the screen so that it didn't hibernate when downloading and installing the data. I did try exiting out and restarting, but it would resume at the black screen (i think, been a couple days and don't really want to go through the install and download thing again trying) and be frozen.

I would recommend shutting off the hibernate mode when updating. Makes it work much easier.

I did try exiting out and restarting, but it would resume at the black screen (i think, been a couple days and don't really want to go through the install and download thing again trying) and be frozen.



I accidentally learned that if you double click the home button, the bottom row becomes all the apps that are loaded in the memory. If you hold down on an app symbol in this row they all shake and then you click the X on the app you want to remove from memory. This will let you restart a frozen app.

This process is identical to deleting an app on the main screen, just make sure you have a long row of apps you have used pop up on the bottom of the screen before you start deleting things.

I dont know if maybe its not well documented or what, but now with the new OS on iphones/ipods you can have multiple apps running at the same time. To see what is currently running you just double-tap the home button and it will show up in a row along the bottom of the screen. If the app freezes up on you, or the download fails just double tap the home button, hold your finger down over the app you want to close and hit the 'x' on the corner. This will completely shut down the app so that you can open it again and it should be back in its original state. This wont cause you to lose any data in the app.

Thanks for the love everybody. I dont really know when i'll finish the new update. I am working on my other apps right now so i'm thinking maybe a month or so. Heres my list of stuff i'm working on for the new update: Feats, objects, new database download method (that shouldn't crash as often), inventory management, sort/filter by golden/modern age, a few bug fixes in the searching and possibly some way to export/import teams so that if you HAVE to delete the app and reload it you can have a way to get your teams/inventory back without a problem. Only other suggestion i can think of that someone asked for was the ability to search by dial values, which i think will be pushed off until the next update.

I'll just add in that while the next layout/feature update might be awhile, I will be making corrections/updates to the figure database. I plan on having GSX in there as soon as possible. I've been trying to add the dials in as they're revealed so that when the set comes out I won't have as many to do. I'd like to shoot for having all the dials in there a week or so after release but that depends on how soon they're spoiled.

I also wanted to mention that if you backup your iPod/iPhone through iTunes and have to do a restore that your teams and such will still be there. I recently had to swap out my iPhone. Before doing so I did a backup in iTunes. When I got the new iPhone I just restored the old backup to it and everything was just like it was on the old phone. It restores all programs though so if you've done something in another app since the last backup you would lose that. Probably not a permanent solution but if you have a recent backup and won't lose any of your other app data (or haven't done anything that you care about losing) then that's a way of getting your teams back if you're desperate.

Ok Gideon's special power should be fixed and all colossal figures should be in the database now (including multiple point levels for the Sentinel Mark V and the Frost Giant). I know Onslaught is missing two TAs but it wouldn't handle all 4 TAs so the field will have to be adjusted to allow a longer length before I can fix that one.

I am not really able to tell you the circumstances because they seemed different each time. Once, i entered "Joker" into the Search Name field... and the app just kicked me out back to the 'desktop'...

Once, i entered "Joker" into the Search Name field... and the app just kicked me out back to the 'desktop'...

On the whole, the app seems to run rather slowly, too... Admittedly, i do have an older iPod Touch (without speakers), and its processor speed is no longer the acme...

It is more than likely an issue with the older hardware. I have tried to test exhaustively, but i dont have an old device to test on, just my iphone 4 and an iPad. I'll see if theres something i can do to optimize anything. I'm also pushing out a new update this weekend with just a few little tweaks and features (still no feats).

Suggestion: Modern Age/Golden Age Button. It is often tedious to go through the list of sets and select only those that are Modern Age for when I'm building a Modern Age team.

i too am having this issue. i think i have pinpointed it to times i have used the swipe delete function instead of pressing the edit key.

restarting the app and ipod itself seem to have no effect. just gotta wait for it to stop.

Just wanted to say I've been using this app almost constantly since I bought it. Awesome. And my 8yo daughter loves it to. It's been a great help in learning the complexities of the game.

One errata I've noticed: BB-019 Talia only has the Superman Ally listed. She also has Batman Ally.

Hi guys! Looking forward to the new update!
One thing I noticed was that the Promo Johnny Alpha and Promo Judge Dredd (IN-999 and IN-998 respectively) are missing their keywords... The keywords are as follows:
Johnny - Future, Warrior
Dredd - Future, Police
Also the ICONS Batman Promo (# 208) doesn't seem to be entered in the database, either... (and its keywords are Gotham City and Martial Artist).

One last thing... I was wondering if we could get a 'refresh point cost' button on the team building page? When I add or delete characters, the build total will not change until I 'log out' to the main 'Teams' page and then re-select the team I was working on... Any type of a fix (or just an auto-refresh command when any changes are made?) would be AWESOME! :)

Can you be a little more specific as to what it's not pulling up? What keywords/TAs did you search for and what figures didn't show up? Thanks!

Now when someone gets added or changed in the database the app will let you know immediately that there has been a change and you can download it. Only the affected characters will be downloaded, so no more 8 minute downloads just to get one figure. I love this app and I really appreciate the hard work.
I've built about 15 teams so far that I have saved.

Here is what I would like to see
The ability to modify my team a little easier to get to the point value I want.

I know that sounds vague. If I delete a figure and want to add back another I need to go back and search for that figure all over again.

GSX figures should be in there. Try updating the database. The GSX ATAs are not in there yet but are on the list of things to do.

i think yousa database is outa date...

i know apocalypse is in there, i was just looking at it. you may need to update your database. the version number doesn't generally change in between minor updates of a few figures.

Yes all the figures should be in there. I believe in the next version when there's a database update there will be a little number in the settings to show you it's been updated. And that version should be out any time now.

Just had a thought and since you have not included feats yet I'll add it to the wishlist....

If there was a way to do a keyword type search for the feat pre-requisite it would be extremely helpful

ie- show me all the feats that work with leadership

But I'm loving the app as is and thanks for the hard work.
