Does anyone else think there should be or will be a colossal in Giant-Sized of Krakoa? If so what size base do you think it will be on?

I highly doubt they'll ever make Krakoa into a playable figure. That would not be the way to bring it into the game.

No, it already has a BFC

yeah but BFC's are no longer legal in modern age, we also get remakes all the time, why not remake the island into a map at least?

No, He's from Giant Sized X-Men #1 and he was like Swamp Thing, Professor X, and Parasite all rolled into one super colossal sized foe. He feeds off of the animal life that his ecosystem supports. But when the X-Men landed on the island it mentally commanded it's plants & animals to capture them so it could feed off of them. However Scott Summers escaped and assembles the team that would go on to become The All New All Different X-Men. So Scott rescues his friends and in stunning display of power the island creates a HUGE creature so it can fight all thirteen X-Men (the original group plus ones Scott returned with). Storm then takes off the kid gloves and hits Polaris with lightning bolts (super charging Polaris's magnetic powers). Then Polaris draws even more power from the Earth's core so she can THROW THE LIVING ISLAND INTO SPACE.
Now that sounds cool right well guess what IT'S ALL BEEN RETCONNED get ready FOR THE SUCK

The 2006 X-Men: Deadly Genesis storyline features a major retcon in which it is revealed that many of the elements in Giant-Size X-Men #1 were in fact deceptions and delusions created by Professor X to hide the major part of the story.[5] Another team of young mutants, composed of Petra, Darwin, Sway, and the third Summers brother Kid Vulcan, from a parallel X-Mansion led by Moira MacTaggert, were sent to help the original X-Men. They managed to save Cyclops and returned him to Professor X. However Krakoa, no more intelligent than an animal, killed Petra and Sway and left Darwin and Kid Vulcan almost dead. Xavier had erased all records of the real events in Cyclops' mind, and altered the mutants' minds to cast the illusion of a speaking, sentient Krakoa.

I'd like to see it as a map with similar mechanics to the BFC. And yes, while the resolution of the third Summers brother decade-long plot thread was welcomed, the ret-conning of the island itself is kinda lame. I'm okay with a less pious Xavier, though.

The only possibility I can see with Krakoa, is a map form. There could be a condition on the GSX map that could represent it, although in the X verse we could get anything from the Hellfire Club nightclub, to Alcatraz, to the Savage Land. Will it happen? UH, reply hazy ask again in about a month.

I predict Krakoa will not be in the set at all because the map will be of the Savage Land.

It won't be a figure at all. If anything it will be a map, and this poll sucks.
I mean a lot of people are gonna be disappointed after GSX. They have high hopes for all these obscure x-men related characters, and it just isn't going to happen. If they can't make fan favorites like Kilowog, Dex-starr, or decent batman enemies what makes you think they can spare a slot for these nobodies?

2x2 base is, I assume, what you meant. What's a 2x3?

After seeing Dr. Manhattan's Mars map, I'm really pulling for a Krakoa that can play on any map, but is much better on his island (or has the clause, 'Krakoa always wins map rolls').

It should be a map, because I don't want any of the Giant figures wasted on Krakoa. It would be great if the map had a lot of the features that Krakoa had, but not sure how that would work without a map having feats.

i would LOVE a 2x2 figure for about 300 points, even if it sucks to field :p

but if ANYTHING we'll probably get a map(here's hoping!).

Great as a map with special rules, lame as a figure. How could you play an island effectively without it being a map?

obesesniper93

lol, not the ISLAND, the creature the island created out of itself to fight the x-men.

it looked STRIKINGLY similar to man-thing...

Don't forget they made the map Krakao a while back which plays out nicely.

For future reference, never include a "Who cares...this poll sucks" option. I will click on it every time!

Also: I never knew that there were soooooo many ways to spell Krakoa until I cam to this thread! :p

Well they could build it like The Halo Scarab it would be the biggest clix ever and it would look AWESOME. It would probably have lot's of SPs and it's own map but would be so expensive that as with the Scarab no one would shell out the money for it. I mean would you really pay $200.00 for a figure so expensive that it's "rookie version" is 2000 points.

I thought the island let Scott escape so he could bring back more "food"?

Yes, that is probably the worst retcon I've ever heard of. Ever.

Yes, that is probably the worst retcon I've ever heard of. Ever.

All Scott remembered was escaping and waking up in the X-Mansion the island may have let him escape but since the island erased parts of Scott's memory there is no way to know for sure.

I'd hate to see it as a map. If I had my choice i'd take the 2 danger room/xavier's mansion maps together for a giant size map!

The GSXM Map should be Genosha - post Sentinel destruction. Rubble and Sentinel pieces EVERYWHERE! Then MM Colossus, MM Omega Red and MM Gambit would look amazing jumping around the place.

If Wizkids is going to go big, they should go all the way and make an EGO, the Living Planet!!!
