Do and Dont's for Sealed/Booster Draft Tourneys?

I am curious, so hopefully some of you seasoned vets can help me out. What are the Do's and Dont's for Sealed and Booster Tourneys?

Watcha talkin' about, I love bragging about my Nightcrawler. If I pull one right in front of their faces, all the better! :D

Anyways, if you get a decent Invuln fig, use him (people won't necessary be equiped to hurt Invuln figs consistantly). And likewise, make sure you have a way to deal with Invuln on your team if possible (3 damage, Incap...). Outwit and PC are useful. Basically a normal tourney, but you have a more limited selection of choices.

Well, it really depends. There is usually two type of people that take part in a Booster Draft:

1.) Those that are there to win, and enjoy such games. (Like myself) In cases like this, sometimes Uniques, or other high priced figures tend to be passed up, for more useful characters. (Even it that means passing up Thanos for that Medic you need.)

2.) The people that are soley there to grab up the High priced people which are in their packs, and which are passed to them.

So like I said, it depends. Also, is there a certain point cost, or do you play with everything you end up with? I've known several different formats, get back to us on this.. and your 'Type'.

Keep an eye out for good combos. My one and only booster draft I got a R Doom and R (?) She-Hulk. Doom masterminded the damage to her invul.

Yeah, I won the Clobberin' Time Sealed Marquee with R She Hulk E She Hulk V Sandman and several other goodies including an E Avalanche(MVP of the tourney). My strengh? Three Invul. My weakness? Not a single Taxi(>_<). In the end, I had to fight a really tough E Doctor Doom army(also had a Doombot, two medics, and an E Black Cat). He murdered me almost unhurt earlier in the reg rounds, so I that made my victory in the finals that much sweeter.

watch the nine year old in the corner. the one with the baseball cap, he cheats :D Seriously man never underestimate your opponent's age, and hopefully get a figure with flight.

I always look for taxis, B/C/F, and medics. The rest just makes it sweeter. The way our store does it is people buy two boosters and those are their figs, no drafting, so you get your 8 figs and that's it. And it's always 200 pts. So no Savage Hulk play at the Marquee for us. I'm drooling over the idea of getting U Green Goblin. From what I read, the fig is cheap and powerful (I'm not talking Firelord or anything, but good). I won the Clobberin' Time tourney with 2xE Logan (soooo lucky!), R Thing, and I think a R Doombot. It wasn't even close. The Logan stealth moved into position while Thing was taxied into the melee to get in base and hold figs until the Logans could get there. It wasn't even close. 3 sweeps and I lost a Logan one time as my only lost fig on the day.
