$61 for a heroclix?!?!?!?!?!?!

I was looking around Ebay, trying to find some pictures of Heroclix's we havn't seen yet and I found an auction for the new Savage Hulk Unique. The bidding was already up to 61 dollars!!! WHO would pay that much for a heroclix you could get for half that in a month?

I agree wholeheartedly with you, but with people out there with more money than sense, or like you said snotty rich kids, it will continue to hurt the rest of us.

Well normaly my cut off is twenty dollars a fig, however I just bought three ICT boosters and got all dupes. So that was money wasted as well. I guess for me it's a matter of how close a set is too completion. That's why am holding buying off thors and ICT uniques untill Xplosion comes out. I got the sneakking feeling while see those ebay prices for ict will drop quickly.
And than I could wait untill the set after x-plosion before I start buying singles. Of course that's just me :)

"how is someone paying $100 for a fig hurting those who dont want to spend the money?" - It doesn't, but that doesn't mean I can't think its nuts (if not a little stupid) or that its some how "off limits" to talk about. The set will be out in a month. What I don't get is this - you could take that 100 bucks and buy 10 boosters, and you could very well pull the Hulk figure (plus 39 other figures). If you don't get that Unique you want you can probably get it for 20-25 bucks at a local store or on ebay in a month or 6 weeks. Personally I don't see the point in spending 61 (or 100) bucks just to show show off for your friends or at a tournment, saying "hey, look I got an X-Plosion figure 2 weeks early, look at me" and I'm asking anyone who has/is willing to do to explain it.

Also when people are willing to pay HUGE amounts for clixs its allows retailers and people on sites like ebay to charge HUGE amounts for clixs, do it can hurt me or you (or whoever) if we don't wantt o pay that much or can't afford too.

Thunderbolts - this is just me, but if I think someone did something stupid or is acting like an idiot I say so, and personally I think buying a clix for 100 bucks when you could get it MUCH cheaper later on is stupid. That person can think what he/she wants to about doing it.

My friend bought 20 boosters, and only saw 3 uniques. I don't see the likelihood in pulling uniques from boosters. Don't most people pull uniques from a case of figs?

Mongoose - its all in chance. When CT came out I bought 4 boosters and pulled 2 uniques (Nick Fury, and Mojo)
