Hey everyone, if you're like me, you're a little upset by how Apocalypse got the shaft in the new set, while Elektra is unbelievable. Apocalypse is supposed to be the most powerful thing that ever lived, yet hes a measly 133 point figure with tiny range, tiny movement, and not enough power. Before I even heard about Apocalypse being made, I decided to make my own and used a point generator (which matches official figures exactly) to calculate his points. This is the Apocalypse that should have been made:
Range: 10
3 Lightning Bolts
Non flying (he can't fly, although the actual click does for some reason)
296 points (yeah, he's a bad mammajamma.)
first click:
10 stealth
10 incapacitate
19 impervious
2 battle fury
2:
10 stealth
11 incapacitate
19 impervious
3 battle fury
3:
12 charge
13 incapacitate
18 impervious
4 battle fury
4:
14 charge
15 incapacitate
18 impervious
5 battle fury
(this last huge click is when he increases his size to become a monster with seemingly unlimited range)
5:
10 plasticity
13 incapacitate
17 invulnerability
4 battle fury
6:
10 plasticity
12 incapacitate
17 invulnerability
4 battle fury
7:
10 plasticity
12 incapacitate
16 willpower
4 battle fury
8:
10 plasticity
11 incapacitate
16 willpower
4 battle fury
9:
8 phasing
11 incapacitate
16 willpower
3 battle fury
10:
8 phasing
10 incapacitate
16 regeneration
2 battle fury
11:
6 phasing
8 incapacitate
14 regeneration
2 battle fury

just kidding. He's KOed. Wanted to give him another click since he is unkillable, but since it is just Knocked out, i suppose its only fair.
In all honest, I think this is a very accurate and honest depiction of Apocalypse which SHOULD have been made. He's a 300 point army unto himself, which is right since he never really fought with anyone else other than the horsemen. All the powers I gave him are honest and true. He is not unbeatable by any means, a couple of outwit guys and you'll have a party against him. But he would be super fun to have and to play with. I mean come on, a 300 point guy, that would be awesome! But alas, it was not meant to be. Let me know what you guys think!

Honestly, what is with all you bastards screaming fan boy, fan boy all the time? Seriously? I've actually only been a member on HCrealms for a DAY! You guys are on here posting in the middle of the night too, and playing heroclix, so why all the negativity? We're all in the same boat. Jesus. Whatever is all I have to say. Trust me, I ain't a fanboy. I used to read comics when I was a kid and I freakin loved Apocalypse. Sorry. I had a few extra hours one day and I like heroclix, so I decided to make my favorite guy. Then a week later I found out he was being made, and he sucked. So there. Once again I apologize for being such a dork and a loser. If you don't like it, then leave, I asked for your comments on Apocalypse, not on me. I'm glad I never have to play against people like you, d*ckhead.

Ummm,
That Apoc wouldn't be too good. The Battle Fury would prevent him from making any ranged attacks, rendering his 10 range and 3 arrows utterly and irrevocably useless.
Just thought I'd let you know,

Oops. You guys are right. My bad. I forgot about the no range action. i was only thinking about how he shouldn't be able to be mind controlled. Scartch the battle fury.

That would have been a good representation, I only see a couple things wrong.
1. Impervious isnt in Marvel yet, so you would have to settle for Invulnerability.
2. THe high point cost. He would be a 300 point team all by himself. Id try to get it down around OWAW supes, at around 236. Sure, thats still High, but at least you get some support pieces to field with him.
3. Id lose the Incapacitate. Its a costly power, and with as big a hitter as he is, he really doesnt need to slow down anyone, he could just belt them a good one. The INC being cut would definately help out in the points department.
4.Drop battle fury. Keeps him form using range attacks.
Thats just my opinion. Otherwise, he would be a dang cool figure to play as you have him.

I always thought he was more the 'cold, calculating' type then a 'raging combat monster' type. I see him more as an Outwit/Perplex kind of guy.
I'm sorry that this is your first day and I jumped on you.
I personaly think you have him way over powered and you have done it because he is one of your favorite characters. That is pretty much the definition of fanboy.
Since the some of the stats of Xplosion has come out, there has been a non-stop torrent of people complaining that their fav character was done wrong and underpowered.
They will jump up and down all day and whine that JonL and Whiz Kids' work sucks, but you dare to tell them that their idea how thier favorite chracter SHOULD be is overpowered, and they can't take it.
The Apocolypse that is coming out actually looks pretty good. I won't be able to telll, and I really don't see how anyone will be able to tell, until I get one in my hands.
Just out of hand saying this version sucks, he should be much powerful, is a fanboy thing to say.
In all honesty, in all the years I collected the X-men, I don't remember Apocalyspe being that powerful in a stand up fight. His power normaly came from being a manipulitve SOB and using the Horsemen to do his dirty work.
But then agian, that is just my opinion.

Not bad, I do feel he should be better than this current version but it doesn't bug me much since the xmen did seem to defeat him.
Get rid of the impervious it's just not worth it, with impervious he's still affected by splash, poison, and any other ability that doesn't target him. Invulnerability is just cheaper. Stealth? please explain. Isn't apocolypse usually right out in the open when he finally fights? And the 19 defense is kind of high, I mean he isn't completely unhittable, he gets pretty big. All of these suggestions would lower his price and make him better while still keeping with most of your initial ideas

But on a different note, you are not going to survive any longer than today in the realm if you keep acting like that. People are going to dish you trash, and you have to be willing to take it or defend it reasonably. You're new so you don't know when you've been attacked or not, but you'll be looked down upon by just blatantly calling sommeone a name. Were it me, I'd have been terribly insulted that you chose to just call me a name instead of defend your position while cleverly debunking the opposite position.
A good example is me and thanosied yelling at each other on the deathbird thread, I'd have never done that on my first day and never have done that if I wasn't familiar with the guy. But you will always get trash dished to you... ALWAYS if your threads get big enough there will always be somebody who disagrees. Whenever anyone posts a figure with outrageous stats there will be somebody to complain about how insane they are, whether the fig deserves them or not. How you respond to that is what matters. But you're new, after a few weeks you'll learn, bill, you'll learn.

See, I don't see this being an objective* look at the character. This version puts him over the top because it's far more difficult to scale back. Just as valid is that this is your interpretation of an Apocalypse monster, but I don't agree that Apocalypse in any incarnation is this powerful.
He just isn't. He's a shapeshifter, when it comes down to it. Long-lived, smart, and canny also, but his mutant ability is shapeshifting. Strength and Invulnerability and a high damage would be Apocalypse, and that they gave him Phasing is bonus! The Apocalypse we got is a fantastic representation of the figure.
* Yes, I know objective gets thrown out when talking about Elektra: Assassin, but it is what it is.

Wait long enough, and you'll see your enemies' bodies floating down river. Likewise, I'm sure we'll see an AoA Apokalypse eventually. Maybe he won't be quite as powerful as you suggest, but he should be tougher. I say the X-polsion Apok is useless. 130 points just doesn't do him justice no more than 120 points represents the Magneto we're all familiar with.

After giving him much thought, I think apocalypse falls into the same category as Vision, the type of character you use as a taxi early in the game for as long as possible. Perhaps taxi-ing around a low point character that can't be ignored, like uniqe elektra.
At any rate, my big thought on Aposalypse is that he should have regeneration.
