I like the cohesiveness of Xplosion. There aren't really that many characters that make you go "why are they here."
I see several interlocking themes to the set:
Xmen (obviously)
"Gamma" bruisers (leader, samson, abomination, hulk etc...)
the hand (incl elektra, daredevil, mandarin, psylocke, etc...)
Iron Man (and his villians)
the only kind of stand out,odd-balls are people like Ultimate Goblin and Spidey (who basically has to be there), maybe Taskmaster .
