Ok, I tried for the first time make a shipping label on USPS.com. When it gives you the options to choose the type of service, it only list Express and Priority.

Is there no way to choose first class?

USPS is always trying to push the more expensive options. Usually, the others are there but you just have to look. On the new online shipping calculator it comes up with Express and Priority, but if you look under that there is a bar that says First Class and other options. Clicking that bar lets you select those (see attached pic). It's really messed up... almost unethical the way they try to promote those services exclusively.

I haven't tried making a label lately, but check and see if other options are "hidden".

One final note... if something weighs 13 ounces or more it can't go First Class. It defaults to Priority at that point.

Hopefully that helps some.

You can use the Bulk Mailing option in PayPal to mail things First Class mail with DCN. I think its like $2.90 for a normal clixs package (under 1#).

Thats about 20c more expensive than the post office but you can create them anytime and they can be picked up by your home postal carrier.

The important thing to remember is to not tape over the DCN bar code. Somehow that screws up the mail.

Let me try it again with the USPS. As to the Paypal option, I thought you have to get paid through paypal to use it?

Nope, you only have to have a paypal account. I use it all the time. They kinda bury the instructions on how to do it though. You need to select the multiship option for postage. You don't have to ship multiples, you can create one mailing label and print it. You also don't have to link multiship to a particular sale on ebay so you can use it for anything.

Wow learn something new everyday. Thanks Blue. I just made my first label from it and it was cheaper than the PO because of the $0.19 charge for the delivery confirmation.
