I already read Ultimate X-Men, but I'd like to start reading one in normal continuity. Which is the best, and what is X-Men unlimited?

It all depends on what you like. I'll give you a quick over view of the "normal universe" X-Men books.

New X-Men - Is based in Xaivers school. They don't really go out looking to save the world or anything, just deal with the problems that finds them as well as teach the students. Along with the X-Men team at the school there are lots of supporting characters (students). Such as Beal, the Steppord Cuckoos (5 girls who like like White Queen and can combine their minds to make the single most power mind on the planet), Ernst and Martha (just to name a few). These characters add a lot of depth to the storys. The X-Men team is - Xaiver, Cyclops, Phoenix, White Queen, Wolverine and Xorn. Current storyline - A group of students lead by Kid Omega (Xaivers prize student) has started begun killing humans and U-Men as well as start a riot on the schools first open day (open to ANYONE, human or mutant) who wanted to visit causing one of the Steppord Cuckoos (sophie) to become injuried.

Uncanny X-Men - This team is still linked with Xaiver and the School (access to the resources,and they act as teachers once in a while). They are also called "the away team". This is the team that goes on missions and is much more "proactive" then the New X-Men. The team is - Nightcrawlers (leader), Northstar, Husk, Angle, Iceman, Juggernaut, Stacy X, a kid whos half fish (I forget his name) and Wolverine. Current storyline - a group of Mutant Warewolfs hurt Wolverine so badly that he DID need medical attention. After a fight with them Angle and Husk are lost in a forest. Havok was brought out of a deep coma by a nurse's son (the nurse is in love with Havok).

X-Treme X-Men - This team is out on its own. They severed all ties with Xaiver and his school. Xaiver was given one of Destinys daires that told possible future events, these X-Men didn't think that Xaiver should have such a tool so they have decided to find and protect all 12 of Destinys dairies. The members are Storm (leader), Bischop, Rogue, Gambit, Sage, Thunderbird, Lifeguard and Slip Stream. Current storyline - Storm is being "nursed back to health" by Wolverine while Bishop and Sage investage a murder apperently caused by a boy who White Queen has granted protection too at the school - causing White Queen and the students to attack the two (in their eyes) former X-Men. (it was the kid, but its not his fault).

1) Xtremem X-Men
2) Uncanny X-Men
3) New X-Men.

X-Treme X-Men, what are you thoughts on that? I got the first 10 or so issues but I wasn't really impressed, it was really kinda lame so I stopped getting it.

Such a great cast too, Rogue, Gambit and Bishop, fun characters.

I'm currently only reading Uncanny & New,both are quite good right now too.

I like the X-Teme X-Men book. Its fairly orginal (teams have been cut of from Xaiver and the School before) but a team has never rejected Xaivers dream before either.

The only complaint I have about the X-Treme book is that they have mismanged some of the characters. They introduced Red Lotus, make it look hes part of the team. Then in the next book hes nowhere to be seen. In the NEXT book hes listed in the "road call" at the start of the book and is in a couple panels. After that hes not seen again (for abotu 8 issues or so). Same with Slip Stream and Lifeguard - they've just disapeared (no apperences or mentions in the last 3 issues).
