Conquest for Monster Island: Shin-Goji vs. Thanosied

Begin Battle:

The warehouse was abandoned, so everyone thought. The thick funk of vinyl and preservative stuffed candy made the air almost intolerable to breathe. A strong gust of wind blew through the steel-reinforced building, causing some of the loosened metal panels to rattle like a cymbol solo at band practice.

Storm set Jean Grey to the ground. "Why have we been summoned here?" Jean asked. "This doesn't make any sense at all."
"I do not know," replied Ororo. "This whole structure seems ready to collapse."
"Fate makes strange bedfellows, X-Dolt." There was the sound like a musical note played underwater, and pink energy swords danced and spun like drunken butterflies as Spiral teleported into view with venerable Destiny quietly standing behind her. Instinctively, Storms eyes and fingers blazed with white lightening as Jean scanned the warehouse for other minds. "Hold your aggression for those who deserve it, weather witch," Spiral sneered.

A black, unmarked van turned on high beam floodlights on the four women. An asian woman in black leather stepped from the vehicle. "Welcome, ladies. I'm Wasp, as you may know, from the Ultimates. Your presense has been requested and your differences are asked to be put aside in the interest of national security."

"What...?" Jean gasped before a short, squat reptile enthusiastically shuffled out of the van and darted his head from side to side.

"LADIES, LADIES, LADIES! SHIN-GOJI (http://neomonsterisland.com/studio/dsc00975.jpg) IS IN THE HIZZ-OUUUUSSSSSE!!!"

There was a moment of odd silence as everyone looked at the forgien creature, while Wasp put a hand over her eyes in mute embarrassment. "This is Shin-Goji, King of Neo-Monster Island, a newly discovered territory off the coast of Japan."

"Really?" Spiral commented.

"Really really," Wasp replied.

"Pleased t'meet'cha babes! He's the deal! I've contacted the Avengers for help," Shin-Goji defied descrition, looking like a living cartoon character. "But when I get here there's no Avengers, just these Ultimates! Must be some Crisis Wars on Secret Earths or something. Anyway, I need you to save my scaly butt. This despot called Thanosied wants to fry me up for kaiju snacks and sell my Island to build an amusement park. Waspie," The Wasp rolled her eyes," here says she'll protect me and I've agreed to keep my kaiju forces from stomping Japan and California every time mating season rolls around. What d'ya say, babes" He batted his eyes at the girls.

Spiral narrowed her eyes and muttered, "I hate cross-overs."

This guy is just ruffling your feathers Shin-goji. He still has not PM'ed me or sent me an e-mail accepting my challenge to play him in person at Gen-Con. I will even document the match and post it on this site for everyones viewing pleasure. If he accepts great, if he dosen't than he is incapable of backing up his stance as a premier Hero Clix player. I realize that me posting about him is his goal, so this is my last post in reference to this moron. Are you sure that's wise? I mean he might actually be a decent player. And if he pulls out a win, he'll bug us about it forever. I see the temptation to try to beat him with an "on the fly" team, but if I were you, I'd just take out a team that you're familiar with and really cream him. Just my opinion. :)

I like Shin-Goji's team for fun purposes, but I will admit that team that's so overused will be hard to beat with your team. Hopin' this fight is fun, not just "firelord blasts you, oh, and Bullseye hits you too". Shin'll make things interesting.

Oh, can I be one of those super deformed Mini Mechas? Like, I'll be... uh... Big O! :D now there's a robot haha.

Wow, I've got a good line of people wanting to play online with me, and I LOST my first online game :) I'll take anyone on who's up for a decent fun game, when I have the time. I dind't think I'd go for 8 hours straight :) Hopefully I can do this again!

Namor, I've only played via Hero Clix online via IM before. But I imagine the best place to play a Forum game would be the Battle Plans section of this board.

Just finished my saturday games. Built an X-Men team that couldn't hit squat for 20 moves.

I have yet to hear from Thanosied still. Come Monday, if I don't at least hear back about his team, then I'll play someone else.

He has the advantage in knowing who my team is ahead of time, so he can do like Brazil accused me of doing and restructure so he has a better chance of winning. I'm not optimistic on my chances, but it's an honor having so many people behind me rooting me on.

I also can't stand when people can't be creative and make a themed/wacky team or something, so they make a nice little firelord cheeze-fest. Anywho, goodluck and stuff.
