Ox (I) - Raymond Bloch
Talk about a pain in the arse to find...
Interesting though, that his twin brother Ronald (Ox III) was born in Brooklyn. Wonder how they managed that...
So now, who built Widget?
deltharius
03/09/2003, 17:50
Hmm...I hate it when posts pass in the ether...
So, I'm gonna say that it was Spider-Man hiding up in the tree in Avengers #100 ... and if I'm right, I'll stick to my question above.
Umm - No it wasn't. (Hint - he was an Avenger, but he kept a lookout from the tree cos he thought they wouldn't be pleased to see him...)

Next question should be asked by deltharius...
Ok then ... back to my question ...
Who built Widget?
Tweediedope of the Crazy Gang
(there was a rumour it was a merger of Kitty Pryde and a Sentinal...)
...confirm if I'm right, please, deltharius .
deltharius
03/09/2003, 21:11
Yep.
And, Widget picked up the conciousness of Kate Pryde from an alternate future timeline (the same one that Rachel Summers came from, IIRC) much later on in the series.
So, ask away...
OK.

Oh well, no one's going to get it.

Next Question
What sex was Starhawk, onetime leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy ?
I Am The Game
03/09/2003, 23:24
I guess no one else bought that issue... which issue was it, anyway? My request is that your answers have a title and number beside them, so we know you're not making stuff up!
I'm pretty sure it was in Marvel Premiere - the whole Man-Wolf / Stargod alternate world thing was great...it being 3.00 am over here at the moment I can't check the issue number, but I will.
However, Starhawk was in virtualy the whole run of Gaurdians of the Galaxy, as well as Avengers...
and it isn't a trick question either...
so, which sex was Starhawk ?

Huh, not James Hudson?
Heimdall
I see your point... it's a tough call. My perspective is through reading the Alpha Flight comics during the '80's which was mostly from Heather's perspective... James gave him the opportunities to be a man... but I think Heather nurtured his humanity...
Heather is the correct answer. Algrim got it.

The Editor messed up.
If you read the whole 3 issues, and tally up the number of wins in the combat between the two teams of heros, you will find that the supposed result is wrong.
The whole point of the issues was the contest between the elders and "death" - and none of the cosmic entities involved noticed that they couldn't count !

All I know is she was sabertooth's secretary who betrayed him for reasons Im too lazy to reread the comics for, wich probably isn't enough info to win the question.

Wasn't Birdy some alien critter that appeared in one of the X series in the late 80's/early 90's?
Birdy is Sabertooth's (/Creed's) financial consultant, apointment specialist... all around assistant...
She's betrayed and reunited with good ol' Creed on several occasions, more than I can count. She's almost the Marvel equivalent to Harley Quinn...
Now how many houses did Jesus build in his lifetime?
(He was a carpenter, wasn't he?)
True.
...and the other one you're thinking of was the "birdman" the X guys met on the weird island, round about the time Doug Ramsey died...

Good ol' Miguel... You see in 96 years from now he'll be a scientist who'll invent a machine that alters your genes to improve your health and possibly your nether-regions... Unfortunately he ended up getting encoded with a whole mess of gentic junk including something that gave him spider-like powers.
Now the machine had an interesting look and that brings up the question:
Where did Miguel get the look of the machine from?

I was mistaken. I think the Bird Man was called BirdBrain.

Getting Tricky eh? :-)
Alison Crestmere is the actual name of the new mutant Magma.
Selene the Black Queen had used her powers to wipe the minds of many people and reestablish them as the people of Nova Roma. Magma was one and her name was Amara Aquilla. Selene's deception was revealed later and it was found out that Magma was really a British girl named Alison crestmere.
Now try another tough one...

Who is credited for killing Captain Mar-Vell, and how?
In what title and number did the Swordsman die?
Just for fun, how did Iron Man get around when he didn't have enough power to operate his boot jets?
Kid Zero

Avengers, but I don't remember which issue for Swordsman
I thought that Mar-Vell died of cancer.
At least once, Shellhead used a taxi.

Mar-Vell did die of cancer. Whose fault is that, and how did he cause it?
Swordsman died in an Avengers issue. Which one? I'll help, it's a squarebound.
I'm thinking of something in his armor that he used as transportation...
Clark-br

The super villain called Nitro caused Mar-Vell's death. He exploded himself (it was his power) opening a cannister of a chemichal weapon, the exposure to that gas caused Mar-Vell's cancer years later.
Death of Captain Marvel was a great story, but frankly why Starlin did not killed another guy?

How did Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch originally join the Avengers?
Basil Elks
04/11/2003, 12:41
was it in issue 6, or something like that.
when there was a complete revamp of the team, and everyone (except captain america) left. the new members were quicksilver, scarlet witch, and hawkeye. (if there's something else i'm missing, tell me.)
Yes there is...It is something specific and at least to me, a little funny about it...
Vision and Jervis didn't go too, did they?
Anyway here's a new question:
Who were the original actors to portray Cyclops and Wolverine in a movie?
(Clue: Think of TV movies)
What, noone can answer my question so we start with a new one? Ok, if that's the way the game is played.....
Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch originally joined the Avengers by answering an AD in the paper!
Hey, BANE, that was spectacularly difficult. Well done. I even went and looked in the issue concerned, and still didn't get it...
And Lobo83,
as to the "actors originaly sugested for Cyclops and Wolverine", I just don't know. Which Comic was it in ??
LoL

Noman
Not suggested... played...
They were portrayed in a TV movie!
The question is who portrayed them...
(If you go by suggestion [for the movie], they first thought of Mel Gibson, then Russell Crowe, and finally a casting call that gave Hugh Jackman his break)
Baelin69
04/17/2003, 04:42
Actually the original actor to play Wolverine in the movie was supposed to be Dugray Scott (baddie from MI2). But he got hurt, broke his arm I think, that led to Hugh Jackman replacing him.
Dugray Scott was casted after they were tried to sign Mel and Crowe, yes. I forgot.
But my question was about the actors who played Cyclops and Wolverine in the Generation X movie from Fox.

I remember the movie, had Banshee as the leader right?
I can't place who played Cyclops and Wolverine.
Being that the IMDB doesn't list Wolverine NOR Cyclops in the movie, I'll have to say, NOBODY played them...
Valandar
04/17/2003, 12:03
I agree with Bane. There was a character SIMILAR to Cyclops who was created to replace the graphically different Chamber, but that's about it.

i'll have to go with the last two answers, i've seen two different cast lists, and neither had a listing for wolvie or cyke.
