With already the dominanceof range attackers in the game does anybody else think that the people with 12 range will get abusive play?

1. No

2. There already is range 12 in the game, effectively (see my heading)

3. Please define "abusive play".

I see it as a balance against the range 10 limit for Outwit & Probability Control

It didn't bother me before, and now, with the vast number of available Perplexers, it bothers me even less !

A) No longer would they need perplex (which use to be 40-50 points to take a 10 inch guy up to 12)

B) Even with perplex (not availible at 11 points) they have a higher base. My mandarin can have a 14 inch range with only 22 points of perplex.

And yes, i think it will be abused. XP will definitely change the game. Not sure for better or worse, though.

Probaly not as I doubt they'll give too many people both 12 range and really good damage at that range. And if they do, it'll probably cost.

The thing is there was so much complaints on Firelord. Well this should take care of Firelord.

Abusive play is basically over use of a character through out heroclix play[Firelord like]. It also implies that the characters will be surrounded by strategies that take the fun out the game [Imagine any 12 ranger with 3 perplexers, possibe of reaching half way across the board becomes very tempting].
Skeevo do not forget the person with that 12 ranger can also have pc's and outwitters making them even more deadly by making them come to you.

What I do not want see happen is to see a person with 12 range every new set unless they deserve it. I just don't want to see 50 people with 12 range in the next 5 set.

I probably should stop worrying because Noman is right with all the perplexers and running shot from Ct then it shouldn't be too much of problem.

sigh, god is there anything about the game you people won't wine about. Would you like some cheese with that wine. Just kidding;) . But seriously i really don't think this is bad for the game at all. I think i is a very interesting twist, i certanly wasent expecting it. It just adds to the stratagy of army building if you ask me. Plus both Mandran and Phenix and't exactly cheap to run. Phenix could( and probably will be) used in tournys, but she really can't do much with that range. Mandrn is so expenceive that you would have to build your army around him, it can be done but for the most part he is impractable in tourneys.

Human Torch V has an effective range of 15 and perplexable damage.... Not overpowered, IMO.

Taking all arguments and thoughts into account I would have to say that 12 range would be PERFECT for a couple of characters.

Maybe phoenix and Vet Mandarin...

I don't know how people are gonna say that Mandarin isn't Firelord's daddy. The guy has a 12 range. In a 300 point game he could just buy a bunch of perplexers and nail one Firelord, instantly killing them (Just buy a bunch of con-artists). His outwit is gonna make him deadly too. Of course he isn't too cost effective, but in a 300 pt. game he kinda is.
