ok i know you measure from the CENTER of the square to another CENTER of the square, but WHICH SIDE? for instance, if I center-to-center from my TOP side of the square to his BOTTOM side of the square, it isn't clear, BUT, if i aligned the LOF to the LEFT side of the square, it is clear...so? do we measure LOF with SAME facing sides of the square, or can we measure it to the left/right?

you measure from the dead center of a square to another dead center of a square...

ok using compass points...

we usually measure from the center of our north side of the square to the center of the south square, or can we measure to the east/west square, but i think you answered the question...

Correct.....you measure from the direct center of your square to the direct center of your opponent's square.....right smack dab in the middle of it, not off to one side or the other.
