Xplosion Favorites

Now that the stats for Xplosion have been known for a week, I was just wondering what is everybody's favorite(s) in the set?

For me, I'm itching to try out Mandarin. I even bought one on eBay because he looks awesome statwise and sculptwise.

I also think the Paramedics will see a lot of play. Mystique and Destiny will be like IC's Witch and Panther. Plus Shadowcat is an amazing taxi.

With the uniques, Sauron looks pretty nasty. Although I like having a taxi with Willpower in the Green Goblin.

Storm, Phoenix (score, my friend got me one off ebay, im like stoked! can't wait til it comes in!!!), Sauron, Psylocke, Gambit, then the rest of the X-Men, and Deathbird in there as well. Oh and definitely the mandarin (e or v), he's amazing, especially the v.

I like almost all trhe figs, except Lady Deathstrike. I admit that Scorpions stats suck, but he looks pretyty cool. I plan on using him shortly.

I wanna use Taskmaster in a game, he seems pretty cool and I've always liked the character. Also, I've been waiting for an Iceman since IC came out, even though he's not gonna be a major player. Still, a cool sculpt and one of my all time faves in Clix form is nice. ^^

Being a Top-10 list addict, here is mine! :)

10. V Daredevil - Hate the sculpt, but they fixed his dial.
9. R Destiny - I hope to see more of these 'specialized' figures.
8. any and all Hand Ninja (is it 'ninja' in the plural as well?)
7. U Leader (must be some way to use the MC/WP combo)
6. E or V Silver Samurai - 2 words, Phasing and Blades. :)
5. any Mandarin - The range and the trickiness sound fun.
4. U Savage Hulk - Will be unsoppable in right situations.
3. V Beast - Versatile figure of a classic character.
2. U Sauron - I love the figures that can work alone if need be.
1. V Taskmaster - I have been wanting this guy since HC first came out (although I only knew him in his old costume) and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by all the support and interest he's generating. Although that will make it harder for me to surprise my opponents with him...

Wonder what WizKids and JonL make out of the fact that so many of our Top-10 lists include several of the same figures. Sauron, Mandarin, Taskmaster, etc...

1. Hulk- he is just scary!

2. Doc Samson- perplex on a brick, I love it.

3. Iceman- just need Firestar for the Spiderfriends.

4. Crimson Dynamo- powerful baddie

5. Abomination- 100 points! You could play him alone!

6. Colossus- I don't like the human click, or he'd be higher

7. Storm- great for the points

8. Taskmaster- well represented

9. Beast- good sculpt, well rounded dial

10. Spiderman- I think its a good representation.

Forgot about Taskmaster. All three versions are extremely playable.. He's definitely in the top five.

Taskmaster, Sauron, Mandarin, Destiny, Mystique and the Green Goblin are all a given. However I'm also interested in trying out some of the less focused on figs like Madam Masque and Silver Samurai, both of who bring some interesting innovations to the game (the former being a stealth sniper with very powerful defense powers, the latter being an interesting medic/back line killer).

Also, Psylocke gave me an interesting idea for a Brotherhood team where you make Magneto his E version and plonk Psylocke behind him, constantly enhancing his damage and letting Magneto push every time, then exchanging damage with him. Psylocke keeps Enhancement long enough to swap damage 3 times with Magneto. In effect, it gives Mags Willpower, whilst Mystique keeps his attack stat as high as the Veteran. Yeah, it's expensive, but Magneto is just that cool. :) Of course if you don't want to use Psylocke (aka Fabian Cortez :) ) you can also use 19 point Boom-Boom for the click exchange.

1. U Elektra - Most of the elements of my play style combined into one figure: Stealth, Blades, 3 Damage (well...perplex), and MIND CONTROL!!!

2. U Sauron - The rest of the elements of my play style: Charge and flight (he'll give Rogue a run for her money).

3. E/V Psylocke - Stealth, Blades, and great stats.

4. V Storm - Good damage, and X-men flight. A little easy to kill, though. Not what I'd hoped for, but still very good and efficient.

5. The Leader - I'm not sure how often I'll play him cuz of his cost, but he's extremely good if played right. Willpower and MC is a very, very potent combination.

6. Green Goblin - willpower taxi and worthwhile attacker. Good piece.

7. Shadowcat - I love indoor maps...and I also love breaking through walls when people think they're safe! :D

8. Mystique - Capable of 3 damage at a good range with decent attack from stealth? I'll take it, thanks!

9. Taskmaster - He's low on the list because, of all things, he has such high stats. He's a threat, but doesn't have the ability to stay alive very long. But if used right, he'll be the next U Elektra (though I still prefer her, I think).

10. Paramedic - Yeah, I'll have one or two on every team.

P.P.S. Vet Taskmaster is the shiznit! And Shadowcat = one of the best taxis in the game (The Doombot will not be ignored, however!). The Doombot will boil you bunny if you forget him!

Well, my favorite clix (which i have taken in account PLAYABILITY) would probably be Doc Sampsons.... for just 102 pts he does serve a hefty dish of pain...

Although i really do like Taskmaster...

I like Doc, but I find that his attack drops very quickly. Unless he hits first, he's going to have trouble.

10. V. Beast - Team M.D. gets bolstered with this expansion and I'm loving it. Criteria: Must be an M.D. (mail away degrees are permissable) and must have Perplex. Before, it was only Dr. Doom and Dr. Octopus, but now there are new faces! Dr. McCoy is now signed, please sign the attached bill below. Plus, he has Charge in case he needs to chase down that ambulance.

9. V. Doc Samson - Andele! A brickhouse with Perplex (my favorite)! That he's added to Team M.D. is a given, that I'm going to love using his 70's leisure suit wearing self more so. The Docta' is in! :D

8. Psylocke - Cheap and I don't have to push her! Waitasecond... that didn't come out right. I'll stick to Enhancement because I've been pushing around ol'Dr. Strange for so long now that everytime I reach for him he cringes. Going to get abused often... I mean. Uhm. Oh forget it.

7. U. Elektra - Mind Control, two arrows, Super Senses... behold, Elektra in her mini-series: ELEKTRA KILLS EVERYONE. That she is going to be monstrous is just the toe-tag on everyone else's corpses.

6. Destiny - Any version of her as magnificent. Free movement Probability Control with a bit of Super Senses for good measure. Black Cat just lost her job. :)

5. Taskmaster - I've never been a fan of Taskmaster, honestly. I didn't know they had brought him back either, knowing him from his early days and older suit alone. The Clix has softened my heart and he's a-rockin'. Now, all he needs is a Yellow Cab... should be someone right around here...

4. Shadowcat - Any of her versions are in fine form. A low-cost phasing flying Yellow Cab. Doom must brainwash her into his Army of Doom so that she can taxi Taskmaster.

3. V. Mandarin - Just look at his dial. Go on, look at it. Mwah. Hah. Hahha. Giggle.

2. V. Iron Man - I can't wait! I just love the way the dial represents Iron Man going from High-Power Ranged Blast-o-Matic to Rerouting Power to Fists Knuckleduster. Mucho gusto.

1. Savage Hulk - His stats speak for him, and they say, 'Hulk Smash!' A truly fine figure, amazing sculpt, and righteousness that only Hulk (well... maybe Doom) can pull off this well.
