It’s only fitting that his daughter followed suit with sonic powers of her own.

Another ugly sculpt/paint job that looked great in digital form. Stats are going to be really situational, as that 94 points is a pretty big price tag for nothing more than an uber incapper who could get knock out really quick.

Nice to have more range options on a modern age x-factor team, but not sure I would pay the points to feild her.

I see no reason why this character should get Willpower, or even Super Senses. If she has a "Psionic Field," wouldn't that be better represented as ESD? Seems like a decent character to pull in sealed play, but not one of my favorites, and I doubt I'd use her much once I've put her through the trial run.

I dont know any running shot fig with 3 damage under 100 points and S/S /willpower 10 attack, she has great mvp posibilities

I would have hoped for a little mind control (hypnotic suggestion), maybe an ESD trait or perhaps a click or two of leadership or perplex for the points.

She definitely outshines her father with her AV and DV down her entire dial (although her dad does have 2 targets and starting Psychic blast for his 90 pts).

Super Senses makes no sense on her at all. Her dial reminds me a lot of Spirial's dial. It just doesn't fit the character. Also giving her a Pulse Wave makes no sense. She projects a cone not a 360 degree attack. Her Special power should have been an incap that deals 2 penetrating damage. Make it useable with Running Shot then it would have been better. Also ED and Barrier are the only Defensive abilities that make sense for her.

I'm very disappointed with this character and I was really looking forward to her. I'm a big fan of her and her dad. But this fig does not represent the character and it is over cost by about 24 points.

I think she is pretty good a little expensive but she will be effective with the right team build.
Turn one carry your close range bruiser in.
Then just have your bruiser rush the enemy have her sitting at the back incaping. She pretty pushable uptil that first pulse incap.
Play her right she could be very annoying.
I really don't like willpower on her. Should have made super senses ESD and willpower supersense.

Yes, because you can't hear any noise when you're behind a speaker? :cheeky: She normally projects a cone, which is what the Incap does. When she lets out a scream that is meant to shatter glass and make your eardrums bleed, it doesn't matter if you're behind her or not. That's how sound works.

And last I checked, both pulse wave and incap are compatible with running shot, so I'm not sure what your problem is with that.

And while I would have liked ESD or two targets, she has nice attack and damage values, and while she's begging for Stunning Blow, she's not a bad ranged attacker at all. She's mobile, and unless you take her down in a single round, there's plenty of X-Factor friends to use that TA to heal her back up.

I sometimes wonder who writtes the previews at Wizkids (no offense). If you read the description without looking at the numbers it sure seems great. Then you look at the numbers and go: Do you play tournies? or you just play test it in a very, VERY friendly scenario? Outwitt her super senses and one shot her. Thanks for the 94 pts.

Frankly, I don't know what everyone's kvetching about, as if finding the hint of flaw in a figure belies their deft skill in HeroClix. :cheeky:

I love her special power though, plus four clicks of Running Shot is great on her. I'd say she's worth her points, but I wouldn't mind them adding another range target with her making her 105-ish points. I probably won't be using Incapaciate since she's got 3 damage.

stunning blow? yes please. lots of running shot, then right ono willpower, maybe pull back a teammate and heal up? but yeah, i could understand range-only super senses, but yeah, don't see her just dodging a punch with her voice. the probably didn't want to give her a 19 at rage with some es/d. and wicked pulse wave.

Good dial, running shooter flying incap/3 damage and good white power. But I think she (and Doctor Henry McCoy too) belong to the 80 points class rather than to the 95 point class. And is a shame that from all this X-Character, excepting the Madrox dupe, whose real cost depends on how many you take, the cheaper one of all is Emma Frost... who is after Magneto the most powerful one from the list.

The only ones with a "comic accurate" point value this far are Magneto, Cyclops and the Madrox Dupe.

So, you have her taxi a figure that will take some hits, then give her a power action to run the team ability and hope that she eats some damage, setting her on her PW/token click. On Turn 4, if your opponent hasn't dealt with her or cleared out his forces, then she can stymie a charge or push/rot a chunk of your forces, plus PW.

That is really situational. But standard Incap with Running Shot helps, particularly if she can taxi someone else.

She's not terrible. She just fits a style of lay that many don't use. Heck, I don't use it. But if I had a WoS Deadpool, I might team the two of them up and add some Hand Ninjas or Black Tom and the Juggernaut and make people HATE listening to me quote the limited series and use funny voices and horrific accents.

I would appreciate these threads more if the title actually held information like the set name and the figure name. It's not trivial to do a search for these links on HCR...for example, when looking for a replacement character card for an older figure that was previewed.

I actually like the dial for her, although not a fan of the sculpt.
Being an Uncommon I'll probably end up with 3 or 4 of her, so a Custom seems natural!
Her SS will ikely keep her around long enough to push (or get hit!) onto that sweet RS/PW!
Not a monster piece by any means, but I think very playable.

She isn't a mind controller, the best "against victims will" things she can do is get confessions and simple stuff. And a lot of individuals, including mutants, were unafected by it. Incap is cool enough for her.

Has anyone noticed on these previews that the faces on all of the sculpts suck very badly but on the picture on the card the faces are awesome?

Overall I have been impressed how the powers fit the character. Siryn somewhat fits this rule. She is not terrible and never to be used (aka -grey gargoyle)

However unless it x-factor theme night I doubt I will use her.
Let's do a quick examination

The positive
Special power - fits with her powers could be a game changer
Arrows - She should only have one arrow, she only has one mouth. Unless you consider her pulse-wave, which makes sense
Damage - 3 clicks of 3 damage is never too shabby
SEALED - She will be a killer in sealed tournaments
Keywords - She will be a nice addition to those three times

The negative
Point cost - She is way overpriced, 15 points less
Sculpt - Rather boring, could we perhaps had some transparent sound-waves.
Defense - Willpower and Supersenses just don't fit her. She should be barrier and energy sheild deflection

However the biggest thing I would have changed is her special power. I would have giving her built in stunning blow.

Sorry hate to burst the bubble and I'm not trying to be a turd but these are all 94 or less and meet the Running shot with 10 attack and 3 damage (as well as flier and having 8 or higher range

I think he's saying since pulse wave ignores all powers and abilities, so when they get hit, they don't have Indomitable or Willpower. Its a timing issue, but I'm pretty sure that pushing damage is taken at the end of the action, meaning those characters will have WP and Indom back.

Very surprising dial. A few years ago we would have seen scads of 8 attack values on a character that is a) young and b) obscure.

Now, wow. Babys all growed up!

If I pull more than 1, I'm swapping out a sculpt for Banshee. Same price and everything. I like the dial a lot. Would have been beastly 4 sets ago before the advent of Indomitable. Still, highly playable, solid piece. Nice job.

I honestly think that many people won't play her, but those that do will get a lot of, "AH! Why is she still here?!" and "That's it, I'm just going to take her out. She's pissing me off." from their opponents. She is a great role player that people are going to underestimate and then be annoyed by her.

OOO (hand raised) Pick me! I love comic accurate teams and X-Factor is one of my favs. I'll run it all the time. I've already figured out in a Modern Age tourney - Madrox, Siryn, Strong Guy, Shatterstar, and Wolfsbane are 384. Even with a lack of 16 points that's a pretty formidable comic-accurate team (notice I said comic, not key-word. Shatterstar doesn't have an X-Factor keyword). I'm hoping that the BIBTB fig of Madrox will close that gap a little. And on a team like this, this Syrin fig is actually needed.

I am torn on this one, I have been dying for them to add to X-Factor for a long time and yet this seems very overcosted for what it offers. I will wait until I can actually run with the new Madrox and Siryn to pass final judgement. That special power for pulse wave and incap must cost alot.

The SP is exciting, but shouldn't have been limited to only when the character has no action token. And the SP should have been frontloaded to be of any real use.

People moan about power creep, and then get butt hurt when a fig isn't as powerful as they wish it was. If we want this game of ours to get to where there's sanctioned play, rankings, etc. then we need to come to expect a fair amount of balancing when it comes to dials.

Having trouble getting past the milk moustache on the sculpt.

Stat-wise, pretty solid comparatively. I know someone listed about eight characters that were similar for the cost or cheaper. Then again that encompassed every set in existence. If only eight characters are better than her for the cost, I'd say that's a good balanced character. Three straight clicks of rs 10att 3dmg is solid. No, she's not as good as Moonstone (well until click 3), but if that's your standard you're aiming a bit high on expectation.
