Need help starting

Hey, I'm looking to get started modding figures, whether it's repaints or total modding. I was hoping someone could give me a tutorial on how to do it and/or what supplies I need, or give me a link to somewhere that has the info.
Also, does anyone have any sites that let you print out the dials for clix? I found one, but the combat dial prints out so huge it isn't feasible. I have a points generator. Thanx for your help! Sundown12
