Forget Xplosion let's talk about Spidey-Mania!

You knew it was bound to happen. Someone would over look the new set and skip to the next set. Only I'm not going to bicker about Xplosion and talk about who I wish was in the set, because the set looks awesome and I can't wait to open a case.

But we know this isn't the last set, let's hope anyway, and since we've had an X-Men set it's time for the franchise of Marvel to get his expansion. So I am guessing that the next set will be rich in the Spider-Man category. This could change if Wizkids waits and puts it out around Spider-Man II and gives the Avengers the next set, but let's just assume it's based around Spider-Man.

I agree. Spiderman figs would be cool but not a whole expansion. You could toss in maybe 8 or so in each set and that would be cool. I do need a Venom figure!!!!!!!!!

Well, looking at the timing of X-Plosion, I'd say it's a safe bet the X-Men set was timed to coincide with X2. But, I don't want to see a Spider-Man set when "The Amazing Spider-Man" comes out. Like was already said...do 10 or so "Spidey-related" figures per set.

Next set should be Avengers! There are so many figures they are missing. My small, non-comprehensive list:

- Captain America (better representation)
- Loki (1st Avengers villian)
- Ant-Man (non-LE)
- Moon Knight
- Wonder Man
- Warbird/Ms. Marvel
- Baron Zemo
- Wrecker
- Jarvis (as a unique! ;))
- Namor
- Falcon
- Thor (unique, with beard!)
and the large figure for the set:
- Giant Man!

You know what makes my stomach churn? The fact that two Spidey expansion lists were posted, yet Mysterio has been overlooked both times. Give one of the best villains in Marvel his due for once! :)

I think a Spidey based set would be cool. God knows we have enough X men and their villians (over 60 with X-team or Brotherhood alone, not to mention the non-affiliated).

Having said that, I think Wolverine should be the black secret agent/spy suit with a ranged attack and AE with an Omega Red figure. Spiderman could be Cosmic Spidey.

Spidey Set....I like the idea of it. Spidey Set would represent, or could represent, the set to pick up all those misc. characters in the marvel universe.

some quick thoughts on ideas brought out above:
Puma : always liked his look, probably be similar to wolfsbane
Rhino : another brick type with charge for sure...
Firestar : if she comes then I believe the rest of the new warrirors should be given an appearance.

others:
Kraven the Hunter : always liked him...he would work, imo
Captain Universe Spidey : aka: cosmic spidey...I like the idea but I doubt it would happen.
Punisher : I could see him making an appearance

all in all...I like the idea and many of the characters presented...but I need to get my hands on the current set before I worry to much about a set that has not even been solicited yet...

Dont forget since they did Ultimates there could be some other Ultimates that might show up. Who would like an Ultimate Rogue or Captain America or even Thor?

I totally agree with a Spiderman set. And for all those people who say a "just Spiderman set" wouldn't work.... well of course not. But what set of clix has just one team of characters? Xplosion doesn't have X-men only... sure it's X-men based, but Spiderman isn't part of the X-men, nor is Ironman, The Hulk, Mandarin, Scorpion, etc.....

I'd like to see a Spiderman set of clix. Possibly make all the characters from the Maximun Carnage series. Maybe a little Venom/Spiderman characters on the side. Instead of thugs or henchmen you could have The Jury. Maybe some cool uniques like Ghost Rider or Vengence. Possibly some X-men villains like Mr. Sinister or Omega Red.

Who knows what the future holds for Heroclix, but whatever it is I'll be looking forward to it.

I Definitely support a spidey-based expansion. There are a ton of possibilities (ok i know there are with most of the teams). Kraven, Electro, Mysterio, the list goes on. Put the Sinister Six back together. Of course the Venom and Carnage would have to be done, but would venom and spidey be arch-enemies? If so would they put in a ruling that they could be on the same team if carnage was on an opposing team? And they would have to make everyone disgusted and put in a Scarlet-Spider or Ben Reiley/spiderman clone as a unique, because in the end we all know that we really did "enjoy" that storyline.

At least we got a scorpion in explosion and the doc octopus in clobberin time (even though i thought he would make a better arch-enemy for spidey)

All the bad guys could be Spidey-based:
like the Sinister Syndicate/Six
Spiderman fought a lot of bad guys that were enemies of the Avengers etc. too !
or when he was in the Team-ups.

I think they should make a Maxi Caranage set

have all that were in the series in there and maybe more.

Maybe even make a new team ability for caranage team because they where a wicked team as it was.

Also im not sure but did Venom hate spider-man or caranage more?
