I judge a local game and thought it would be reaslly great to surprise my players with some XP figures a few weeks early. I posted here but only one person answered...SNIKSDER!!! He was nice enough to part with 14 XP figures that I can 'offically' trade for when my cases come in around the 27th. He sent them to me this week, I got them yesterday and handed them out today. I waited until the tournament was over and told everyone there were no LE's today (which was actually true). Everyone got this "What the...!?" look on their face, it was priceless! Then I announced that I had something else to hand out and, as luck would have it, I had exactly 14 players show up so the each got one XP figure1 I announced that I did indeed have XP figures 2 weeks before you can buy them anywhere around here and everyone cheered! The two best figures were "only" E Silver Samurai and R Colossus but you would have thought I was handing out all Uniques! Everyone was really grateful and surprised and all got someone they wanted! It was a truly great day...made so by SNIKDER's generousity! A lot (not all, I know!) of MegaCon goers hoarded their figs or, worse yet, put them on eBay. But not our brother SNIKSDER! He is truly a credit to the Realms and to all of Heroclix. Thank you SNIKSDER!!! :)
PS - To all you other judges, I recommend doing this. It went over better than some of the LE's I give out. :) I will definately be doing this for future releases. Hey WizKids and JonL, how about hooking us judges up with some boosters whenever you have a MegaCon-like pre-sale so we can surprise out players!!!
