Which Chase should I buy?

So I've decided to buy 1 Chase figure. I'm looking at the following list as the ones that I've narrowed it down to.

Sinestro Corps Batman
KC Superman #105
White Lantern Hal Jordan
White Lantern Flash
Thorbuster
Thor Frog of Thunder

I've owned KC Supes and Sinestro Batman before but wouldn't mind to get either one of them again.

So, I'm looking for opinions and thoughts from the HCRealms community. Out of these 6, which one would you buy?

Going by the way you asked the question, I voted for Thorbuster, as it is the only HoT piece I do not own.

Sinestro Batman and/or WL Barry Allen would be my next choices though. Just cause.

Depends on your gaming style. That will decide your choice.. Kc superman is always a great piece to play. Hes great for the points

I've got White Lantern Hal Jordan and KC Superman. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with both. I've always wanted a Sinestro Corps Batman, as well (if anyone has one, I'll trade well for it!), and White Lantern Flash can't be beat. Thorbuster is a really cool fig, can't go wrong. I have no desire for a Thor, Frog of Thunder, nor will I ever have one.

I'd say go with KC Supes, if you can get a good deal for him. I got WL Hal Jordan for $65 bucks, never looked back, so same with him.

That's is a pretty good deal for WL Hal. I may actually go with more than 1 if I can get a solid deal on them.

I voted Thorbuster.

- multiples of Iron Man are thematic
- starting Running Shot and Pulse Wave is rare, and capable of taking out any of the current power pieces
- expensive Hammer of Thor figures aren't getting any cheaper

Which is your best playing style? I have all of them but Sinestro Bats. If it comes down to usefulness then it would be between the WL Hal Jordan and Thorbuster.

I recommended Hal Jordan White Lantern. He can be used on more theme teams than any of the others. He fits on any Lantern theme team.

I'd pick Sinestro Batman.

To me he is the most flexible and the most useful through out the entire dial and at 208 points still leaves enough points for support even if played at 300. He can be played in different ways and be both a main attacker and a support figure. I know that KC Superman can dish out loads of damage, but that's all he is good for - and mostly in close combat. I know he can wreak entire teams, but I've also seen him easily taken down. Batman in addition to Outwit (and 11:a-fist: 10:bolt::bolt:) has also Stealth, free action Smoke Cloud, Flight and Running Shot. Maneuverability and safety. I also consider Batman's keywords better than Superman's.

Thorbuster is a little too anti-Asgardian/deity oriented. Don't get me wrong, he can be almost as useful when played against other figures (and there's quite a lot of Deities today anyway), I know, I have him and played him, but he's not as Swiss-knife useful as Bats.

Frog is nice and very strong in his own right, but to me he's more of a collector's piece than a player's.

The Lanterns I have no opinion of, except that I don't have them and don't like them. Hal is supposed to be specially mean, but I can't say not having seen him in action.

Plus, of all the above I like Batman's sculpt the most:laugh:.

Anyway, just my $0.02.

That is, if I were to spend ~$60-80 on 1 figure today.

lol im not sure why some of you are suggesting the OP buy the "last chase you need". that just makes it harder for you to acquire that last chase you need......

personally, i would go with KC Supes. the potential for the points is just amazing and so fun to play. :)

I'd get either Skrull Spiderwoman or Lamppost Bats if it was my choosing. But since those 2 aren't on the list, go with KC Supes. He's a beast!!!

I have KC Superman and WL Hal and have had much fun with both:

KCS is basically an OTP for me (One Trick Pony) - I TK him so he can charge the biggest/meanest fig in my opponents army with his charge/flurry/two objects combo, usually one of the attacks either misses/gets stopped with Impervious/Super Senses (so that the opposing figure is not KO'd, then he gets smashed by the rest of my opponents team. Sometimes I try to use him strategicaly though... heh.

WL Hal is fun with BN Flash and a couple Saint Walkers for a Blue Theme, perplexing a stat of his by 1, then running shot-blasing for 6 with the Enhancers set up properly AND getting a Theme PC roll in addition to Walker's baby PC.

I voted for Yellow Bats... don't have him for one thing, but also personally don't feel terribly impressed with Thorbuster or Frog of Thunder, and I haven't use my WL Flash yet to comment on him...

Honestly they are all really good pieces. and as a lot of people have pointed out it really just depends on what type of play style you have.

now if you just want to buy one to say you own it then thats a different story.

I myself am missing WL Flash, Sin-Bats, and Thorbuster. but somehow have pulled 3 WL Hal's.
I traded 1 to a friend and sitting on one until GSX come out to use as trade fodder.

Easily White Lantern Flash-forget Hal! Hal SEEMS good...until you realize he has a glass jaw. Theme team is good...but Flash is better (even without theme team!). As for the others, they are all good, but Flash is the best for his points (only 138-cheap!!).

i think sinestro bats can take kc sups because kc sups dont have the sups team ability. bats have flight/runningshot 10:bolt::bolt: with free smokecloud and outwit :D

Have you read the comments in the Units section about Thor, FoT? He sounds like an absolute beast (pun intended)! I think the guy I last saw running him was playing him wrong or something...

It's been said before but it's true. It all depends on how you play. Me personally, I like kicking the door in, grabbing my opponent and kicking his guts out. So I voted for Supes. My neighbor runs SinBats all the the time, and he's a pain to deal with. The stealth and free action smoke cloud are great together.

I voted for WL Flash but that's just based on my style of play since I don't really like using the 200+ point beat sticks so I'd get more playability out of Flash since he's more along the point scale I'd use most often out of what's there with a possible exception of Frog but only because he's only 72 points. We can vote all we want based on what we like more but really what you should be thinking about is what types of games you play most often and which of these you'd get the most play time out of. If you are going to be spending actual cash to buy a chase figure then I think you better make sure its one you'll get a lot of personal use out of otherwise save your money.

WL Flash would more than likely win in a battle of those peices, so i say go for him.

To me, it is between Thor / Frog, WL Flash, or E-2 Supes (not listed).

Thor / Frog and WL Flash are both low-enough pointed where they can be more frequently fielded.

E-2 Supes is, to me, the only Superman fig which really "feels" like Superman. The figs which start w/ HSS need to employ hit-and-run tactics (not something the ol 'Blue Boy Scout would do) and Kc/HT Supes is broken for his cost.

E-2 Supes has a nice first-strike ability, and Lead the Charge greatly helps when, not if, Supes get swarmed.

You should get the one that has the least votes because people will tell you to get the figures that they want LEAST. They just want those other figures for themselves...

But you should really get WL Hal Jordan because he's awesome, affordable for the points and his trait makes him versatile.

WL Flash without question. He is unbelievably powerful for his points, his Perplex and TK means that he can be PART of a team, rather than soaking up all your build points as a tentpole, and as a WL he cannot be one-shot. Every other non-WL on this list I have seen go down in a single action, usually to a Flurry/BCF or a carried-object crit.

Hal is a solid second choice if you are looking at building high-point theme teams on a regular basis. Thorbuster is good if you frequently face teams built around Deities, or if you opponents normally stack their teams with RS.

Thor Frog of Thunder is the only piece that I've played where I only had him left on the map, the other guy had over 200 points of figs left, and he forfeited because he knew he could not beat the Frog. Awesome pieces, I wish he had some more speed, but oh well. You can hit him, and he can always hit you. GREAT figure, my fav fig of all time. Worth every penny.

I missed this thread yesterday, but my love of Thorbuster is well-known. Supes would be another pick, but genrally I feel like a jerk for playing him.

Were I in your shoes, I would purchase the Frog - he's less points than most other chase figs, and therefor much more playable. He can usually be thrown onto most teams, whereas the KC Supes is a fig that you will have to build around. Also, while the Frog won't necessarily win games for you as with the Superman, he does have the coolest sculpt of any other chase out there, and is point for point the most efficient piece in the game.

Sinestro Bats: I am a huge Batman fan, but I think it is silly to have a figure based on one panel of one comic. If you want a chase Batman, get the lamppost one

White Lantern Hal: I have it and I can't seem to hit the broad side of a barn with him :confused:

The rest just don't interest me. The Thorbuster is kind of cool, but I traded mine for a lamppost Batman.

I chose Thorbuster. He's a great figure that fits on some great theme teams.

After that it's probably WL Flash (cheap enough to play with others, and REALLY good), KC Superman (doesn't fit themes I like to play, but he is nasty good). Then the others, in no particular order.

My #1 chase figure is Lampost Batman, but he's not on the list, so...
