This team if for a Quick game with no medics
(V) Hawkman...........48pt
(E) Bane..............76pt
(R) Solomon Grundy....48pt
(R) Booster Gold......28pt
Total 200pt

Use Booster and Hawkman to taxi Bane and Grundy. Hawkman a Booster have 10 speed so you can get them in close combat range and start the beat down. I have won so many games with this team.

Hello There,

Personally, I would go for the JLA versions of both Booster Gold and Hawkman. That way, you don't have to wait to let the beatings begin.

This team does have a couple of weak spots. First of all, a foe with a reliable Incapacitate could cause a good deal of grief for either Bane or Grundy. Also, a wee bit of Mind Control would have Bane and Grundy beating the stuffings out of their respective taxis. Finally, neither one of your key figures has any ranged combat. Sure. They can pick stuff up and throw it, but only during a move action.

In spite of the flaws, I like your team. It was obviously created by one who takes great delight in an aggressive game. This is the same way I approach the game.

I realize that the Vet puts you to an even 200 points, but other than that, why would you use Hawkman Vet instead of the 5 point cheaper Experienced fig?

I would run this against your guys.
E. Batman 92
U. Catwoman 85
v. Robin 22

with this i could outwit bane's cc while using catwoman's.
Batman's willpower makes up for your numbers advantage.
Also leap climb would allow me to move in and tie up your fliers so there would be no retreat unless i intiated the break up or you chance a break away.

However i agree that the jla hawk man would work better , if only for the free move.
two jla would get you in there on the first turn and i might be in trouble.

Hello There,

The Batman Team is a force to be reckoned with; however, I think that the Bane and Grundy combo is exactly what is required to deal with it. After all, you have to get up close and personal with any member of the Bat Family. Otherwise, they will just wittle away at your figures from the safety of hindering terrain.

As Mike_SXM stands, the Batman Team would clearly win. However, if both of the fliers were exchanged for their JLA couterparts, then Bats would be in a whole lot of trouble.

I don't see Outwit as being that big of a factor in this battle. Even with Outwit, Batman is forced to chose which of Banes three powers to affect. Should it be the Toughness in order to harm Bane? Should it be the Close Combat expert in order to prevent this figure from harming others? Super Strength? Either way, Bane can still take a beating and deliver some damage - certainly enough damage to remove Batman's outwit. The thing is this. Even if Bane is completely stripped of all its powers, it is still a potent and effective figure.

Personally, I would field either an incapacitate team or a mind control team against this force.

These have been my thoughts. I look forward to reading what everyone else thinks.

Definitely agree that you should go with E Booster Gold and R Hawkman to make use of JLA. In low-point games, the more free moves you have, the better.

Anyway, that would give you:

R Hawkman
E Booster Gold
E Bane

and 54 points left over, leaving room for either R Solomon Grundy and a R IC Thug, or you could play with R Gorilla Grodd instead. Well, or LE Carter Hall, but I think Grodd fits the bruiser theme better. And provides some additional options.
