Havok grabbed a drink from the fridge in the break room of the X-Men’s underground base, and sat down next to Banshee, who was watching the news.

“Hey, Sean,” Havok said, taking a drink, “what do you think of this new training program?”

“It’s nothin’ ta me,” Banshee replied lightly.

“It’s wearing me out. How was the group exercise?”

“Walk ‘n the park,” Banshee said, “I don’t think Angel knew the training ‘bots were so vulnerable to me sonic cry. One good squawk and it was done.”

“Hey, what’s this?” Havok asked, nodding at the TV. “What’s Kelly whining about now?” Senator Robert Kelly was the leader of the anti-mutant caucus, and generally the only things that got him airtime were attempts of his to repress mutant rights.

“He’s on with some daft malarkey about the mutants bein’ responsible for Doom’s attack,” Banshee explained, “Says Doom only did the whole thing because he was afraid of the mutants.”

“Well, the X-Men and all the other hero groups that stopped him, yeah,” Havok said, “But I don’t see how Kelly could possibly connect that to mutants in general.”

“It’s all just a steamin’ pile of rhetoric, anyway. It won’t go anywhere.”

“Hey, one thing I’ve learned,” Havok said as he stood up and finished his drink, “never underestimate the gullibility of the masses. I gotta go, I have a group exercise of my own to get to.”

Havok assembled with the rest of the group that had been randomly selected for that exercise, and saw that one of the other people in the group was the girl named Laura, who was now using the codename of “X-23.” She had connected with the X-Men in Dr. Doom’s mutant prison camp, and then had simply refused to separate herself from them when they went back home. So, after some preliminary checking, Professor Xavier had allowed her a probationary membership on the team. Her powers were as similar to Wolverine as her attitude was, but awkwardly placed in the body of a young girl. Havok was interested to see how she would do in this, her first group exercise. He also wanted to see how the Cuckoos were doing back together, after Doom’s mutant-ability nullifier forcefully separated their hive-mind.

“X-Men,” Angel barked, and they all looked to where he stood in the observation booth

at the top of the Danger Room, “Those of you who were in the last group exercise may not have felt like you got much of a workout. I like to think that this one will provide you with more of a challenge...”

Setup: The defense robots have already been set up. The X-men can be placed in any of the normally marked starting zones of the player's choice, but each of the four starting zones must contain at least one character at the start of the game.

No object tokens are used this game. OMAC robots cannot leave the quadrant of the map they begin in.

Objective: The X-men are each trying to complete one circuit around the map and get back to their original starting zone, so remember who began the race in which starting zone.

While an X-man is in the same quadrant of the map as their starting zone, they cannot attack or be attacked. Once they have left their opening quadrant the can attack and be attacked and they must remain within 4 squares of the outer edge of the map. This forms the "track" they must follow. Everyone is running the track clockwise around the map.

Each character that has made it back to their starting zone by the end of the issue earns 1 IXP and 1 TXP and a presidential fitness award.

Sorry about that, I was working under the assumption that the player of each team was writing their own intros in Marvel. Fixed the mistake.

In general you're right, only Uncanny X-men is the exception. RookieBatman writes the intros for both X-titles. :)

Thanks! I'm glad you like them. I'm only sad I've had to cut down on the length, so I can get them out quicker. I love developing all the characters, the only problem is, once I start, it's hard to stop, so my intros just kind of run on. I had to impose limits on myself so I'd be able to finish them in reasonable lengths of time.

Robots Turn 1A:

According to the rules each starting area must have a character it appears the ones facing Robot #3 have none. let me know,

Target detected, is the loud echo coming from all of the Robot's around the course, each moves out preparing to engage. One fires a electric net which lands on Polaris sending shockwaves through her,
Another uses sonic beams to keep the Cuckoo from communicating with the others. Lastly, another fires a net on storm, causing her to feel the anixety of claustraphobia.

They are still at the starting area (Purple area).

However I do not have enough actions to move it to the starting line.
Will do so in turn 2.

I have moved as many charcters as I can to the start line in turn 1.

Turn 3,
A number of X-men found their powers not working under the watchful eyes of OMACS.

However, Polaris found that while her magnetic sheilds fails her....it can be used to left her team mate Havok.

Havok has a headstart, and blast the OMAC standing guard.




Havok blasts away at the exposed OMAC standing in the open....

choon: at the start of your turn Polaris could not draw line of fire to Havok, as Gambit and Iceman would be in the way. On the map it looks like to moved Gambit to T2 instead, I think you may have gotten them mixed up.

Robot #4 says "Eminent danger detected!" He fires a small protectile which stikes Havok, coating him with a strange goey substance, for a moment his shield is down, but he dodges the laser from the Robot.
The rest of the Robots move to safer positions and continue to disable the X-men abilities with their unique devices.

The race has begun, the clear leaders are
Cuckoos #1 , #2, #3 they are clear leaders running ahead into the second Quadrant. The cuckoos are literally flying past everyone.

Followed closely by Northstar and X-23

Havok and Gambit has cleared the first quadrant of obstacles there.

Cuckoo #4 appears to be waiting for her sisters to come by.

Just so you know Eagletsi, Lazarus Pit actually heals the character at the start of each turn, including Choon's. Which means the OMAC under repairs should actually be at 4/8 by this point, if I counted right.

Cuckoos prepare to splint again in order to get past another OMAC.
This time there are 4 of them. Can the OMAC stand against the CUCKOOS ?

Dazzler and X-23 runs for their lives... towards the self repairing robot.
They fear the robot will suddendly spring to life when the apprach it.

Of course Iceman, but a wall of ice protecting Northstar and himself.... as again northstar prepares to splint.

Who (X-men) will win this amazing race ?????

Robots Turn 8B:

Note: According to Garg, Robot #4 in the Lazarus Pit heals every turn, either players. He should be at 7/8 now and he is at U5 not U6, sometimes this map moves things.


Robot #4 echoes "System Repair Completed, Activate". Robot #4 stands up and suprised Gambit. "Mona Mi!", Gambit yells. Robot #4 swings his arm before Gambit can get his staff up to block it. The blow sends Gambit flying backward off the roof top to the ground below.
Robot #4 then fires a small net which covers Storm draing her of power. Robot #3 fires a net at Cuckoo #1, which drains her of power. Robot #2 moves from his hedge and stops in the middle of track waiting for targets to approach.


Free) Robot #4 activates from the Lazarus Pit. Roll for special object =6. His powers return.
1) Robot #4 close combat attacks Gambit. Att 9 Vs DF16 needs a 7+. Rolls a (5,5)=10, no PC roll since Cuckoo's cannot see Robot #4 (Not on the rim). Gambit takes 3 clicks of damage +1 for the knockback off the building +1 for hitting the ground. 5 Total and ends in S4.

Since OMAC #4 was KO'ed on the 4th round, and it is now the 8th round, he should be back to full health (8/8).

Characters takes 2 clicks of damage for falling off elevated, 1 click is for bumping into a wall.

When the character is KOd, remove it from the battlefield, place it on this card on its first KOd click, and then place a Special marker on the square where it was KOd. At the beginning of each player's turn, you may either heal the character of 1 damage or return it to the battlefield on the square with the Special marker. If you return the character to the battlefield, remove this Lazarus Pit from the game; roll one six-sided die at the beginning of each of your turns. On a result of 5 or 6, remove the Special marker from the battlefield. As long as the Special marker is on the battlefield, the character gains Battle Fury, Toughness, and Willpower; it may not use any of its other powers or its team ability.

You need to roll a dice....on a 5,6 to determine power of the ressurected OMAC.

Setup: The defense robots have already been set up. The X-men can be placed in any of the normally marked starting zones of the player's choice, but each of the four starting zones must contain at least one character at the start of the game.

No object tokens are used this game. OMAC robots cannot leave the quadrant of the map they begin in.

Objective: The X-men are each trying to complete one circuit around the map and get back to their original starting zone, so remember who began the race in which starting zone.

While an X-man is in the same quadrant of the map as their starting zone, they cannot attack or be attacked. Once they have left their opening quadrant the can attack and be attacked and they must remain within 4 squares of the outer edge of the map. This forms the "track" they must follow. Everyone is running the track clockwise around the map.

Each character that has made it back to their starting zone by the end of the issue earns 1 IXP and 1 TXP and a presidential fitness award.

Note: While an X-man is in the same quadrant of the map as their starting zone, they cannot attack or be attacked.
Once they have left their opening quadrant the can attack and be attacked, So I cannot attack 1,2,3,4, correct? But splash damage is not attacking them, correct?


Robot #3's states "Enemy detected, Eliminate!" Robot #3 swings its fist and hits Polaris in the midsection. Robot #4 states, "System re-route in progress, skipping damages circuts" The Robots damaged shell begins to repair itself and releases a gooey substance, holding Iceman in place.
Robot #1 "Fires a flash grenade which lands at the feet of Cuckoo #1 blinding her. Robot #2 uses the distraction to fire a plasma grenade which lands at the feet of Cuckoo #9, and explodes catching Cuckoo #2, and Cuckoo #1 in its blast radius.
