I've been trying to create a competitive Sentinel Army for at least 2 months now. Can you please give me suggestions for it. For now, this is my default 300-point army that we use in tournaments:
100 pt sentinel
1 rookie firelord
1 exp doombot
1 exp wasp
1 rookie bullseye
1 rookie black panther
1 exp hydra medic
I always liked three 100-point Sentinels. Run up and CAPTURE the three top shooters on the other team, and then use ranged attacks to keep everyone else at bay.
Not very good on the indoor map, though, I'm afraid.

A rather expensive army in terms of real world money.......

this is a condensed version of my team cause mine was 5 point game
for 300 points if you heve these characters go for it
2 100 pt sentinals
R invisible girl 37 pts
LE george tarleton 16 pts
R pyro 24 pts
r dock ock 22 pts
invisible girl is carried by one sentinal so both can share her defense
other sentianl caries pyro or george for barrier to avoid hits
roockie doc ock and goerge or pyro who ever did not go along for ride are used for defense
barrier stays by the starting to put up barrier after a sentianl runs back to drop of
while doc ock runs with his wp and leap climb to tie up heavy hitters hes their to die for you
thats the basis of my team and should turn out pretty good
dont worry about exerting any of the barrier guys just do it
i would use r pyro do go with the sentinal since he has more clixs of barrier and george stays in the back
thecaptain
hey even if you loose with fun team like this and you play just to capture instead of hitting ppl youll have a blast and so will opponent and you might win fellowship for good sport
i know i did and i got to capture thanos and super skrull in different games though
and r pyro is not bortherhood so you can use him their not AE
also i use 2 sentinals one will get targeted while the other picks someone up usually their highest pt character and dont worry about pushing
Does an Invisible Girl shared defense WORK on a Sentinal ?

Imagine the challenge of creating a 300-point sentinel army. That is because i already assume making myself a 200 point army that can wreck havoc. Anyways, I have another variant for the sentinel army I used in a tournament:
100 point sentinel
1 moondragon
1 unique elektra (IC)
1 veteran bullseye
1 experienced doombot
1 experienced hydra medic
Basically, sentinel taxis elektra dealing a world of hurt because the sentinel can move even when pushed and can disregard breakaway rolls while elektra tags along. moondragon on the other hand is there to support the sentinel via mind control (besides, you can also mind control a fig, make the fig move to sentinel and let the sentinel capture the fig).
I'm would be much happy if you guys give me more ideas on how to make a competitive sentinel army. Thanks!!! :D

BTW, I prefer indoor maps because i want my opponents to strike first then capture!!! :p

300 pt. Sentinel
Veteran Dr. Doom
Veteran Firelord
It was pretty effective against a 600 pt Xmen/Brotherhood team that was almost 4 times as big...

Hey, I thought of yet another concept of the sentinel army. Something that involves a lot of TK people (excluding Jean Grey of course). All you have to do is to enhance the ATK of the TK fig using perplex (maybe from Doc Octopus or any other cheap perplexer), TK the opposing fig then bring it to Sentinel for capture. It's kinda fun since when you transport the fig 10 spaces away, it will take time for your opponent to go after the sentinel.
Even more fun, stick the opposing figs with someone with plastcity so that the opposing figs will have difficulty breakijg away.
My ideal figs for this:
Sentinel
mr fantastic
mandroid armor
doc octopus
If you guys can think of more, please post here. I'm looking for more interesting Sentinel variants. Just want to prove to everybody that a Sentinel army can be competitive. Besides, I placed 2nd in a tourney recently using the army in my first post. Thanks!!! :)

I was thinking of this: 400 pts.
200 pt Sentinel
Veteran Bullseye
Veteran Puppet Master (Mind Control and Attack of 11 w/ Bullseye)
Veteran Jean Grey (TK & Support)
Veteran A.I.M Medic
Experienced A.I.M Medic
Experienced Mandroid Armor (TK as well)
Basically I'll add to the previous example but add a little mind control as well. Keep the two medics back in the starting area or behind some terrain and out of range. The Sentinel carries the Mandroid with him while Bullseye, Puppet Master and Jean Grey go on their seperate route.
I'll have to try it out later but right now I see two things happening... Mind controlling w/ 4 range and an attack of 11, moving the person to the sentinel, either capturing them OR having the mandroid TK them all the way back to the Sentinel's starting area, then just simply have The Sentinel come in and finish it.
A Rookie White Queen might also work well...

Um, ru_dr_doom, I think Jean Grey can't be in the same army as the Sentinel sincee both are Archenemies.

yeah you're right I'm an idiot lol, well I guess just use another mandroid and use the spare points to buy cheap liquor!

Might try out the Sentinel Army in the tourney. However since it's a team battle, I can only have an army full of sentinels. (maybe 3 will do). Anyways, there will be a little modification to the rules that our judge will be imposing:
Sentinels: The Sentinel worth the highest amount of points on the team (choose 1 if there is a tie) can perform 2 actions per turn (this is not considered an automatic push). This replaces its "Multi-Attack ability."
Opponents are awarded points for partially KO'd sentinels. (ex: If your opponent reduces your Mark 7 sentinel to it's Mark 1 clicks at the end of the game, but fails to KO it he is awarded 200 points. Your remaining points will be 100)
Can you guys please suggest tactics I can use since an IC LE lvl 5 fig is up for grabs. These will be appreciated. Thanks!!!:D

After the tourney, I was contented with 3rd place using 3 sentinels. hehe, once xplosion comes out, i can imagine the possible sentinel armies i can make. too bad i can't use the xmen :(. if you guys have any sentinel xplosion army suggestions, please post them here. thanks!!! :)

I'm a fan of the 100 point Sentinel. I keep him back near the starting area. Then I add someone like Moondragon (TK or Mind Control - take your pick) and use her to fling people back to the Sentinel. I like to keep a Rookie Invis Girl there to make the rescue attempts hard. Throw in someone like Bullseye to keep people back and maybe someone like the Unique Wolvie or Spiral and hope for the best!
Kudos for using one of the pieces that relies on Strategy!@

Here's my Sinestro Army. Idea is to wear them down with their own figs then MC them into capturing position. IG's Defend makes the cats with Supersenses hard to hit and gives Sinsestro a 20 DV against ranged attacks. Hydra gives MC'ers a leg up against high D figs.
R Sinestro
U Key
R Invisible Girl
R White Queen
R Hydra Medic
I might switch the Medic with R AIM Agent so its a little more agressive.... One click of Support rarely goes very far.
