awesome terrain/special markers

I ran across a company selling what they call 'bases'

it's small bits of different and various types of terrain on various sized individual 'bases' They are much cheaper than the GF9 stuff it looks like (about 6 bucks for 3 30mm 'bases') and come in some really cool styles. Ice, random terrain, broken buildings, flame effects etc. Most of them are also flat so a figure and the base can both occupy the terrain very easily.

Love the miniatures - but when you see what these cost "unpainted" and in some cases "un-assembled" you start to realize Heroclix are a real bargain!

These look very cool. I see these range in size, how big are Heroclix bases?

Heroclix bases are 1 3/8 inches in diameter (close to 35mm)

Heroclix squares on a map are 1 1/2 inches in diameter (close to 40mm)

so a 40mm round base will fill most of a single map square, or a 40mm square base should fill the entire thing.
