Gaming in Southern Maine

So i know Maine is a small little state in the upper northeast corner that everybody thinks is a part of Massachusetts. I assure you we are our own state. And NO! We are not part of Canada either! ;) But if there is anyone out there on the Realms that is looking for some gaming acton, I just found a great store for all of us Southern Mainers called Game Geeks. It's a pretty small venue, and I just played my first tourney there this past Wednesday. There were 7 of us including the judge. But we had an awesome time.
This thread is for anyone in the Southern Maine area looking to to get your clix on. They have a great website and they have other games as well each night of the week. I never played other miniatures games, so i dont know which ones they host, but i DO know they host MTG. With that said, if you're out there, bring it to Game Geeks on Wednesday nights !!!

If you think you have it hard down there, I live in Northern Maine! Up in Presque Isle we have a nice little shop to play out of every week, but only a few regular players.
I was about to make a post asking if there'd be any Heroclix presence at Portcon, know anything about it Silversurfr77?

i havent heard anything yet, but im still new to the venue. actually still pretty new to heroclix. but now that i know about it, ill make some inquiries. it looks like its still a few months away, but seeing as how GSX is right around the corner, i dont see how players would pass this con opportunity up.
Dang, presque isle huh ? yup, thats quite a hike.....i dont even think you can get there from here ? ;)

hey Blaiser......just got some info on PORTCON.

A guy that plays at my venue says that every year, the people that promote PORTCON ask him to run the heroclix room. They usually try to entice him in for one day, and he relents to Saturday, and then as it draws near, they try to con him into the whole weekend hahaha. But he says that generally he runs an all day thing on the Saturday of the event.

I looked on their website and it doesnt give much info, but check back here and I will do my best to keep updating as I get more info. :)

Also, for anyone in Maine, Southern, Northern, East Gish.......Game Geeks in South Portland on Wednesdays and I also hear that Crossroads in Standish is pretty diesel as far as the competition goes. They run tourneys on Sundays. They start at noon but I don't know when they shut down.
