The Raft: Block A

Rules
I stole these from Chi (except for #7), so thank you.

1) There is a Town. They win by getting rid of the mafia/non-friendly neutrals. Each night, many of them do something (investigate or protect for instance) to try to find the mafia. During the day, they try to vote off the mafia.

2) There is a Mafia, maybe even more than one. They win by getting rid of everybody that isn't in their mafia. Each night, they will remove townies from the game. Each day, they will try to prevent the townies from voting them off.

3) If more than half the players vote for the same player during the day (i.e. Majority), that player is lynched and is removed from the game. You should bold your lynch votes so that I don't miss them or think you are kidding. You can vote for anyone but chances are nothing will happen if you try to lynch someone who isn't playing. You can also vote for a No Lynch. If you feel like leaving a vote with someone, you can say Leave Vote with: Player. You cannot "leave with majority".

4) There are unfriendly neutrals that could be trying to kill everybody or recruit their own mafia or maybe something else entirely. They win in odd ways but they hurt the town so the town must eliminate them to win.

5) There are friendly neutrals. They also have strange win conditions but they don't really hurt the town. Sometimes they can win with either the town or the mafia but in general the town doesn't need to get rid of them. Friendly and unfriendly neutrals are hard to tell apart and you'll just have to use your best judgment on whether you want to vote for them or leave them be.

6) Don't do these 3 things: Quote your role pm or the role pm of anybody else, talk about this game outside of this thread even via pm unless you are pming a mason teammate or a mafia teammate, and don't edit your posts. If you do one of these 3 things, you will be modkilled to ensure the game's fairness.

7) All actions must be in by the time limit. If actions are not PM'd or posted by the designated end of the night phase, then no action shall be taken. If you miss two actions, you will be modkilled and replaced.

Night 0

The Raft was finally restoring its reputation under the supervision of the mysterious Warden Graves. He had rebuilt the site of the world’s largest superhuman breakout into a rock-steady prison. He had sworn that the walls of the Raft would never allow another villain to break free. New Yorkers and metahumans alike scoffed at the idea. What prison could hope to hold the likes of Doctor Doom or the Juggernaut?

Several months went by, the cells were filled and no one broke out. Warden Graves didn’t make any public appearances and there was only one photo to go with a New York Times op-ed piece praising his reconstruction efforts. It revealed a white head of receding hair, his face blocked by an outstretched hand, and the rest of his body covered in a coal black suit.

It was on a night of celebration, the filling of Block A, each of its eighteen cells containing one of the world’s deadliest criminals, that it happened. Four guards, dressed in their black stormtrooper gear, brought in a long, white haired man. Thick Vibranium cuffs, wrapped tightly around emaciated wrists, bound his hands. Despite his terrible condition he smiled. When he reached the entrance gate to Block A, he began to laugh.

“Here goes nothing, suckers!”

The blinking blue lights on the cuffs turned off and they clattered to the floor. One of the guards pointed his rifle at the man, while the others fled back to the surface. Overhead lights and powered cell doors made like the power-inhibiting cuffs and left the Block in darkness. The longhaired man rose up his arms and exploded. The halls were filled with a surge of sound and fury concrete crumbled and steel shattered.

After the white haired man finished his symphony of destruction, he looked back along the way he had come to Block A.

“Come on. You’re free now. Let’s get…”

There was a rumbling and the hallway collapsed concrete poured down onto the man. He never even had a chance to scream.

The remaining seventeen villains slowly made their way out into Block A. Some managed to find flashlights, others called on their powers to push back the dark. Amongst the faint auras of their lights, they asked one another: “What next?”

Deadshot042 is dead. He was Nitro, a man who should not have accepted an attaché filled with a mission and a whole lot of cash.

Day One starts when the thread is opened at noon tomorrow.

Day One

The prisoners screamed and shouted at one another. They’d been release from the confines of their cells only to be trapped once more. The Raft appeared to be as much a tomb as a prison now. The response was obvious: panic and kill something.

Fingers were pointed, tones of xenophobia filled the air, but ultimately no one was killed. There was no clear definition of night and day. Many of the prisoners grew tired and so they all settled for a while. Some returned to their cells, others found safety in sleeping in groups, and others did not sleep at all. Some walked through the dark, battered walls of the Raft and prepared to engage in sinister machinations.

No one has died.

Night One has begun.

All actions must be received in the next twenty-four hours. Anyone who has not officially submitted an action by then will automatically fail.

The strong man felt different. The strange serum the pale man had injected into him had given him a new point of view. Thoughts and desires played themselves out around those he viewed. The German was looking to draw blood tonight. Perhaps he could be redirected.
“Come with me.”
The German hesitated before reluctantly following the strong man.
“Why don’t you check in this cell? No one has come out yet.”
The strong man grabbed the handle of the door, the only one which had not been open. As the steel grated against the concrete, the lock snapping and giving way to his brawn, there was a shuffling from inside the room.
“Wha…”
A tooth flew from the gap in the door and hit the strong man in the throat. He coughed up blood and began to sputter, “Invin… protec…” He coughed a puddle onto the floor.
The German snapped out of his sedated stupor and drew a pistol from his belt and fired several shots into the room. The assassin cried out. One bullet hit him squarely upon the scar on his forehead and he was silenced.

Confused on janitoring Silver though, pretty dumb unless a scummer has a major vendetta. And even then, still pretty dumb.

Well, I was told busdrive. Here's how I operate. I pick a target during the Day phase. They are given a random power from a list I have in place of their own. The power is not my choosing, but I am notified which power they receive once the night begins. I win once all the powers on the list are used, independent of how many people are left.

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt when they're up front about stuff. I don't know how many times I've been lynched because people don't like a truthful townie claim. Non cooperation usually seems to waste a day on getting nothing, and feels like a general scum tactic.

I've been trying to be upfront about my roles anymore. I think it's helped somewhat. I mean I don't claim Day 1, unless I just love the character, but it helps out later if you're Town and you need to claim.

Agreed. If you're a Townie you should be ok with sharing information. Doesn't always help and sometimes you still get lynched, but it helps the Town out in the long run.

You really can't play this game strictly on powers and results. That's my only rec. You can be aggressive during the day, or quiet and coasting. I've never been able to do the latter. Other players (Kedz and mich spring to mind) excel at it.

Pretty much sums up my attitude on this one as well (okay, I didn't vote but that's because he was hammered before I got on this morning).

The moral of this story is one that the brute will never learn, for a few moments later as he suffocated in the brute's stomach the villain pulled out the pin of a grenade. The moral, of course, is to chew before swallowing. There was an explosion and bits of both Mac and the Symbiote were thrown across the walls.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of bombs, pgos and straight up bulletproof townies because the sheer number of reverse trackers we see discourages the mafia from going with a block and kill.

But hey, it helps us out in this game.

You can buy it or not, but I'm town. If I'm Town, I will claim full power, targets, and character. I never do that if I'm Mafia as I suck as making fake claims. And if I was going to pick a fake claim, why would I choose Lawyer? Why not just pick Guide?

If I were Mafia I wouldn't just say what my power is. I'd respect my fellow Mafia members too much to do that.

It's possible I was misdirected, but I targeted Darq. Stranger's vote didn't count D1 either and I"m not sure what caused that either.

This is what worries me as well. And the targets for vote stealing concern me also. Why steal from someone that voted off mafia the day before?

Day Four

The smirking man dropped the smile from his lips and began to plead. "You don't want to hurt me. I'm just like you. I only want to get out of here."
His fellow inmates grew closer, glaring and shouting accusations. "How dare you try to control us?" "Why should we trust you?"
"I was only trying to do what was best, you can't trust some of these idiots. Also you don't want to hurt me..." His brow wrinkled as he tried to influence the crowd in his favor. One inmate even turned around and decided it was not such a good idea to hurt this man.
Another began to laugh. "Two can play at this game. A mutated stranger gave me a useful gift just last night. Now get him!"
The villains swarmed over the smirking man and changed the color of his skin from purple to red.

Jerry_Damage01 is dead. He was the Purple Man: Town.

The pale man’s laughter was drowned by the cacophony in his cell; the bubbling and screeching of various containers. “It works. It all works!”
The tall man loomed over him. “What is it? What works? Why can I count the number of bricks in the wall right now?”
“Thank you sapien, you’ve done me a great favor, but you must excuse me now.”
“Ummm… Okay. What’s that you’re injecting? Is that heroin? That’s dangerous. I’m an NA sponsor, if you want…”
There was a great blue flash followed by the smell of brimstone and the pale man was gone.
“Huh. I wish he’d made some more.”

Immortal Raven has won and left the game. He was Mister Sinister: Neutral.

Two inmates sat in a cell. One man ricocheted a ball off of the floor and wall creating a steady beat.
“What if…”
“No.”
“But what about…”
“No. We should lie low for now. No reason to get killed, best we bide our time.”

The man in green started to glare at the genius, then shrugged his shoulders and returned to bouncing the ball.
