It's all right there in the 26 page rule book.

If you're asking for the difference between the two---LOS doesn't exist. It was a typo made once, never a game concept. There is only LOF.
If you're asking what it basically means, then consult the rulebook's ranged combat section.

You're talking about the official HeroClix definitions, correct? Many people use the terms interchangably, but line of fire is the only one actually mentioned in the rules. It's covered on pages 14 and 15 of the Marvel HeroClix rulebook.
Line of Fire - a character has line of fire to a second character if a direct line from one to the other does not pass through a square containing a third character, or a blocking object.
This is moderated by such things as terrain, smoke clouds, barriers, and the fact that it's very hard not to have line of site to a Sentinal.
Do read the rulebook though, as, particularly with flying characters, the rule can appear somewhat illogical...

so am i correct to say that, as long as my LOF do not pass through char bases and blocking terrain, i can shoot him, PC, outwit him??
It's the square that the thing is in which blocks, technicaly, which is why you get silly things like Ant Man blocking LOS, when you can't even see him...
And let's just not TALK about soaring or hovering figures blocking LOS to grounded figures...
