Not sure if it's kosher to post it here (if so I'll pull it) but here's a scan of the Inquest ad for next month issue with the Green Lantern LE promotion.

looks good to me but it also says to me that the LEis john stuart which to me sux since 1 he's dead and 2, it is a sad promotion for the cartoon. Of coarse I am still going to get it just because i'll have a GL before the set arrives.

Actually, Jon Stewart is the current Earth Green Lantern in both the Justice League cartoon and in the comics. Kyle is off adventuring in space. So, it's a good pick in my book.
No, Jon Stewart is the host of the Daily Show, a hilarious news show on Comedy Central!
ps I am kidding ;-)

I guess a mail-away of Jon is ok, but I hope Kyle and Hal are represented too!
AHHHH, no HAL JORDEN, WHAT UP WIT DAT, the greatest of them all, Hal Jorden, we could have at least of gotten Guy or Kyle not John, well at least were getting one!

I heard Wizard will also have the mail away offer, but do you guys know if it will be the same month, or one month after Inquest? I ask because I buy Wizard, but not Inquest, BUT, if I could get it a month earlier by buying Inquest, I might consider doing that.

The Translucent GL we saw was Hal and it was supposed to be after he went into the battery for the first time

It looks good, but also seems to indicate that the LE is John Stewart; which I think sucks since 1: he's dead (no he's not. & unlike some heroes, never was.) and 2: it is a sad promotion for the cartoon. (Sad cause you don't like the cartoon; or promotion in general? The cartoon is fantastic, and If promotion keeps it on the air; I'LL promote it.) Of course; I will still get it just so as to have a GL before the set arrives.
Corrected your spelling & Gammar while I was at it;)

Actually, John L spelled it out for us a week or two ago; revealing it was in fact a transparent version of the John Stewart figure being released in the next set.

Perhaps you should have said that Jon L "spelt" it out for us. "Spelled" is poor English.

Hey if you have not noticed alot of people on this site misspell when they are typeing, are you going to spell check everyone? no? then get off my back. thanx for the assist verisoph. Anyway I thought I read on the dc web site that john stuart died but I just read it a second time and it sats hal sacrificed himself to save the sun I first thought it said john saccrifised his life. Oh well I don't read DC much outside of Superman and Batman.
Actually, "John" Stewart is the host of the daily show (see the H). Check the pineapple for details on which GLs we get, no further comment.

Sentinel is the newer, 2000's model of Alan Scott, the first Green Lantern, and for my money, still the coolest. Hal Jordan was of course much more powerful, but Alan Scott was just too cool!

If it comes out on april 2nd and I send it out the same day I can expect it 10 weeks later which is the beginning of june and the next DC set is supposed to come out in july. So everyone should beable to get the LE before the set arrives as long as they are quick enough.

Pineapple was a coeename for a list of the figures for the upcoming Xplosion set that was distributed on these boards much earlier than wizkids wanted to release the information. Caused all type of fun ruckus.
The "pineapple" for Cosmic Justice is a fake list that someone posted a while ago asking if it sounded good .. then people started treating it as real and trying to get everyone riled up. Here it is in case you were curious:

Now, imagine if, instead of creating a list with a goal of humour, we tried to create a list that was going for realism. Accordingly, it would have to include the strongly rumoured figures some have claimed to have seen behind closed doors. It would also have to include some junk at the top of the list for generics. Why are we debating grammar and spelling? Obviously, people hear are of different origins and may have a language other than English as their first. Or some people are younger than others, leading them to not have enough grammatical experience to compete with those with higher educations.
Besides.

I think that says it all.
Also, Hellboy, you tend to abuse and misuse semicolons. The very first sentence in your last post is a prime example of this.
the point is; that with only your words to represent you; you'd think more people would want to avoid bad grammer.
There are two semicolons in that sentence and it doesn't require any, only one comma is needed. Thus:
The point is that with only your words to represent you, you'd think more people would want to avoid bad grammer.
But, there's a worse grammatical problem than the semicolon thingy in the above sentence. There's also a serious subject/object confusion. You say, "with only your words to represent you," and then this you turns into others: "more people." This is very poor grammer. Observe these two sentences and you might understand why; the first is your sentence with the puncuation fixed, and the second is the same sentence with proper subject/object orientation.
The point is that with only your words to represent you, you'd think more people would want to avoid bad grammer.
The point is that with only their words to represent them, you'd think more people would want to avoid bad grammer.
And my point: if you disagree with someone, simply tell them why. If you try to legitimize your thoughts, statements, or opinions by resorting to things like correcting someone's grammer, well, that's just dirty pool. You should expect no less than to have done to you. It's kinda like a kick in the gut...huh?
;)

Verisoph
Wouldn't there techincally need to be two commas in the statement?
The point is, with only their words to represent them, you'd think more people would want to avoid bad grammar.
"With only their words to represent them" is a parenthetical phrase, is it not?

Yes, the phrase is parenthetical, and your sentence is correct. However, the original sentence includes the word that where you've inserted a comma.
The point is that with only their words to represent them, you'd think more people would want to avoid bad grammar.
The use of the word that precludes the need for a comma. It does, however, make a somewhat clumsy sentence. I figured that I'd already ranted enough over such a silly thing and didn't make mention of that issue.

BTW: How about that new Green Lantern figure?
I'm wondering about the impact that the GL team ability will have on the game. Can you imagine carrying 8 characters at once, including fliers and telekinesisers. This could be done with a Doombot, as long as GL is on your team!

said it before, sayin' it again
either they will change that team ability, or never use it on any clix
Take this into consideration though: from the starting position, Green Lantern can only have five figures around him. To get a full eight figures around him, you would have to move him up, move the rest in, then move again. Either you are going to waste time and allow your opponent more time to set up his figures to respond to your increased movement, or you are going to drag fewer figures along. This does, however, mean that first turn attack teams are now viable in DC.
Marvel has cheap Telekenesis users, DC has the Lantern Team. Given the point cost and what they can respectively do, I think it'll even out.
And PLEASE WIZKIDS! PUT LOBO IN THE NEXT DC SET!

I spelt grammar wrong in almost every one of my posts and it wasn't intentional. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a horrible speller.
And yes, I was very disappointed by the Berserk Wolverine. The ad in ToyFare claimed that it was "The Most Powerful Wolverine In The Game." And when I got him, it turns out that he's 5 points less than the veteran. He has one less click before he's KO'ed. And, his move, his attack, and his defense numbers are all worse that the vet. He starts with charge, which is nice, but he loses it after 2 clicks and doesn't get stealth until he's taken 4.
Funny that he's called "Berserk Wolverine." The rookie, experienced, and veteran Wolverines all get Battle Fury after 2 clicks while the Berserk Wolverine doesn't get it until he's taken 5 - he only has it on his last 2 clicks. Of course, Battle Fury is a mixed blessing depending on your team and who they're up against.
