View Full Version : Marvel Unanswerable comic questions
Here's one I can think of, and I am sure there will be plenty you guys come up with:
When Cyclops's eye blasts when wild, how did Xavier know that Ruby Quartz was the ONE material to make glasses out of? Did he just try every known compound until he found a fit?! Wouldn't he have destroyed the wrong glasses and the hands of anyone putting them on?!!?
I am sure this has been answered, but help a brother out here.
i think it was a lucky geuss!

Conceivably, he could have had some kind of spectrometer analyze the wave-length of the blast, and determined that the ruby quartz was the proper filter for it.

Of course, having the mental powers he has, couldn't he have just plucked the info from a laser researcher's mind? Ok, granted, that's kinda evil, but that's what I'd have done!

The official explanation for this is that when Scott was about 10 years old, he had headaches. He saw an optometrist, and, after an examination, found that ruby quartz relieved his headaches. So, the eye doctor made him some ruby quartz glasses.
This I think answers the question.
Wait, was it that like before the balasts, just SEEING through the filtered light helped? I guess that's acceptable....but it's really a cheap way to fill a plot hole!

Yep. Just wearing ruby quartz glasses reduced the strain on Scott's eyes.

I've got a good one, how did Daredevil make his costume? how did he know what colour it was? Maybe thats why the first one was yellow
How bout this one... Bruce Wayne runs/owns Waynetech Enterprises, but what do they make (besides all of Batman's toys)?
I'm still wondering why none of Bruce Wayne's employees have figured out that he's Batman yet. "Hey, Joe, you ever wonder why we make millions of these products, but every so often, we shut down production, send most of the shift home, and then crank out ten or twenty perfectly balanced boomerangs shaped like bats...?"
I've often wondered if Scott Summers sees in color. He wears glasses with red lenses. Does he see everything in red, the way everything looks green when you're wearing cheapo sunglasses?

According to a recent issue he sees everything in yellow!? Although earlier issues said that he could see in colour
ok, i cant provide many details, but i seem to remember in one of cyclops' and jean grey's time traveling adventures, they went to the past, 1800's london i beleive, and fought apocalypse and an early version of the hellfire club. I seem to remember that it was then that apocolypse synthized or something a lot of ruby quarts to contain his blasts. I dont know how prof X got that info, or even if this is recognized continuity or not, just something i remember from a few years ago
