What duo will Gambit have?
So if my understanding is correct there is suppose to be a Gambit duo in this set correct? If so who would you say it would be. This is my thoughts.
AND THE WINNER IS ROUGE
1) Rouge. (Right now in the lead) Star crossed forbidden lovers doomed to never be together.
as probably the most iconic team up Gambit ever had wise money is one these two being in the set. Besides if the rumors are true that Scott and Jean are another duo why wouldn't you play a " Double Date Team" Personally i would prefer another duo than gambit and rouge but mainly because i just don't think there power's work together well.
2) Wolverine. they Fight... They Bite... Fight Fight Fight... Bite Bite Bite... the Gambit and Wolverine duo (a hundred points if anyone gets that reference. claimed by Contingency Plan). So they have had a interesting relationship with each other. They fought each other, Teamed up together, cos-played as fellow team mates cyclops and beast (read the 2004 gambit mini). there is a chance they may get in and i would actually love this as a duo.
3) Sunfire. as the Horsemen Famine (Sunfire) and Death (Gambit). So during the Blood of Apocalypse story they were fellow horsemen teammates. with all the horsemen in the set so far I actually like this possibility. I really think there powers work well together kinda like a low cost version of Iron-man and War-machine is what i am picturing. personally i would rate this as a higher possibility than wolverine but lower then rouge.
4) Storm. what a blood sucking combo. well actually aside from the back story everything i said about the Sunfire duo works just as well here as it did for him. I find this team up very unlikely but you never know.
5) Brother Voodoo. they answered the age old question... Would a Crocodile eat a zombie... Yes they would. well what could i say about them other than crocodile's. almost definitely not gonna happen for any reason ever... but you never know right?
7) Other. someone else who is possible i don't know who do you think?
as of right now most of you are saying rouge. So what do all of you think?
Without a doubt, Rogue. It wouldn't make enough sense to have anyone else over her.

Yeah its either gonna be Rogue or Sinister... Most likely Rogue but it would be great if Sinister found a way to sneak into the set last minute. Oh Nathaniel Essex, you sneaky sneaky white boy!

God, I hope not. I don't want to muck up Sinister's only set appearance since Ultimates with another character. I want a new Sinister and I want him on his own base.

Jubilee, for some reason.
Hopefully there will be no Gambit at all....... He is such an over rated char.
It's got to be Rogue, or maybe Storm. But personally, I'd like to see Gambit and Bishop. They were really good friends for a long time - they even had their own limited series - plus, their powers work really well together. :ermm:

But we are probably not getting a Mr. Sinister in this set if he is not on a duo, would you not rather have a Sinister on a duo than no Sinister at all?

It depends. If he is in as a duo, he might not be remade under the excuse he was in a duo (hence, technically updated). I like Sinister and Gambit, but I rather see them singly.
Gambit and Rogue would be great, but I just hope we get the 90's Rogue and Gambit. This way I can play the X-men cartoon theme whenever I play them.

Seriously, what's an over rated character? You either like him or you don't. Obviously you don't like him. Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf were over rated and complete busts!
Hopefully there will be no Gambit at all....... He is such an over rated char.

I am kinda suprised that there is no love for the Gambit and Sunfire Horsemen duo. This set has so far had alot of horsemen from alot of different storys but none from Blood of Apocalypse storyline. and since nobody cares about Gazer as War, and its weird that we would get a Polaris. But who knows this could just be my thought. there always a chance we wont get a Gambit in the set or it could be a LE who knows i guess.
But we are probably not getting a Mr. Sinister in this set if he is not on a duo, would you not rather have a Sinister on a duo than no Sinister at all?
You are correct. I would rather not have a Sinister at all than get one that is a duo. As a strict comic accurate theme player If I were to want to play something that Mr. Sinister was a part of but Gambit was not, I wouldn't be able to play the duo because I have standards.
It would be awesome if Sinister was one of the chases, though. He COULD have the Horsemen of the Apocalypse keyword, technically.

Ive been saying Gambit and Sunfire. All honestly it fits the set better since Rogue is already a single fig.
Of course Im all for a Brother Voodoo...but if him then why not Belladonna?
Gambit and Wolverine. They battled the Sentinels in the Mines. Woverine locked him out to take on the Sentinels himself, but Gambit would not let Wolverine do it alone, and got back in the door of the mines using I think Kinetic Energy, to help his friend. This makes the most sense, but they may do a love interest with him, like Jubilee.

I also feel the M&M one is very good, and would not want to see another. Would rather see another villain, like Count Nefario or Mr. Sinister.

See now i disagree with both of you. The one from M&M is not really that good. in M&M through AA he was good, but with todays power creep he lacks tremendously. Don't get me wrong the first 3 clix's are great but after that he starts a downward slope that seems almost concave to other modern day 90 point clix. with a watered down perplex he's not even good as a support piece. 7 out of 10 (and i play him allot) times i play the xposion vet only because i find him more useful.
Of course this is just my opinion.

If these were my only two choices, I would vote for no Mr. Sinister at all. He'll get remade eventually. I can be patient.

I agree. M&M isn't as good now as he was then. But then, I gotta say I am really getting tired of stealthy characters with 11 attack values and 17 defenses with combat reflexes. It just seems to me that about half the figures these days have that combo. And while Gambit would be deserving of it, I just don't wanna see it anymore. I feel like, in some ways, dial design is in a rut. A very playable rut mind you. But so many dials are just starting to look the same. I remember when Combat Reflexes was a late dial surprise kinda power. Now it's as top loaded as Invulnerability....

Keep in mind that combat reflexes didn't ALWAYS give a +2 to defense on a close combat attack, too!

Oh no, I get that. I just feel like Combat Reflexes is the new hotness of dial design. Once the set is fully input into the units section I am going to check out the stats and I would be willing to bet more characters have it these last couple sets than ever before.

Then there's going to be another Duo of Havok and Polaris.
And then, just to f.... raise the secondary market prize of the OP kit, there will be LE's of both Polaris and Gambit as the Horsemen.
I'm saying it's even more likely than Donald Pierce and Lady Deathstrike appearing as a Duo.

I read that comment about Mr. Sinister as a Chase. You know what I don't care, even if he is a chase I'll be happy. I want a new Mr. Sinister, bump that Give me Fantomex too. Then my little xmen wants will be complete for the moment. I rather them not as chase figures but I'll be chasing for once if they are.
