I will be attending, and I would LOVE to play, but I don't know WHEN would be the best time, to be honest. It might actually be easier to meet someplace outside of the 'Con to play, as then the draw of other attractions would be done and over with, and more people would be able to commit.

These people are trying to organize a Clix Event on their own time, without possibly, any help from WizKids. Are you kidding me that they get trashed for trying to figure out if there is interest by using a tool provided to our entire Clix Community?

I live in Lima, OH. i don't make NEAR enough to travel the country to go to a gencon, but i might as well forget about bringing extra cash to buy some things (which i would go bat crazy for). So i'm on the fence.........at least till we see a gencon some where closer to lima

Look guys, Rob has run these at Megacon fro the past few years, and they run great never an issue and I know for a fact that last year all the prize support (and there was a ton of it) came from Rob's own stash.

I would just ignore the no's since trolling is the thing to do on the net :tired:

Well, I spoke to Joe (games guy for the Con) and he said if we can get a soild number (10+) to show for games, he would provide at least long tables for ply, if not try and get a room/area for all those playing.

Rob, Contact Joe about the logisitics, and he will see what ha can do to help. We need to get solid attendance for these games if we want to have space to play. If not, we end up in this situation again.

i am putting in the call to joe today, more news to follow.

whether we get a room or not, i will be holding events at noon, 3pm and 6pm.

if im can get gsx, we will have a sealed. if i can't would people still play a sealed with say, brave and the bold, wos or dc75? i hasve three cases of BatB i can sell for $8 a booster. maybe that will work.

i will have something solid listed here by saturday.

so everyone keep their eyes ope. and as tombstone frank stated, we need as many people to show up as possible. this way they won't leave us out next year.

thanks for all of your support. let's pull this off and show them how big of a mistake they made.

the poll specifies that it is for megacon in orlando, fl. so, if you are not near there, don't vote. i just hope you and all of the others that post like this understand that the rest of us just ignore posts like these, as they are not very productive. i do appreciate your opinion, though. so thanks for that.

here we go. i apologize for the wait, i had to hear from MegaCon Joe. i heard from him, and we will be in the ccg room. i couldn't get a specific number, but just ask at the info desk or look at the program.

here are the events for Sat. March 26, 2011:

NOON
there will be a $7 buy in for this event. prizes will be: one sealed watchmen set for each 10 players and other prizes to be announced.
500 points golden age, one universe (10% feat cap). you may play marvel with only marvel feats, bfc's, pogs etc. you may play dc with only dc feats, bfc's pogs etc. or you may play indy, as an equalizer if you choose to play indy, you may use any (marvel, dc, other) feats, bfc's, pogs etc.

3pm
Scenario:

2 Booster Buy-in Mutant Mayhem / Cost: $15

300 point teams / 3 Rounds of 40 minute round-robin play

Top 8 players face "Drunken FOOM"

Rules for "Drunken FOOM" game:

FOOM will run at 1200pts, with some pre-historic friends, against the top 8 teams of 300 points.
*In addition to FOOM's natural abilities FOOM will roll a "Stumble dice" at the start of his turn. He will then stumble in that direction; moving all characters that lay in his path. Characters forced into a wall or edge of map by this stumble take a click of reducable damage and this Stumble will destroy Elevated terrain as if it is outdoor blocking being run over.

*Following the stumble FOOM will role a D6 to decide a 'comic-accurate' effect/attack, then is free to attack as normal before or after his non-defeated allies take their actions.

*FOOM starts in the center of the map & will take the first turn & then a turn every 4 players.

*For every click of Damage you do to FOOM your team is rewarded 50points. KOing FOOM nets you +100 points to the amount of 50s the final attack gains. If FOOM is KOd the game ends and points are totalled. Otherwise play stops after 40 minutes.

6pm

600 pts. modern age. new colossals welcome.

i will be supplying as many prizes as i can pull together.

if we can get product one of these events may become a sealed.
