Anybody think Spiderman will be great after Xplosion?

I think that the Vet Spiderman and the Exp Spiderman will be incredible pieces once Xplosion hits. Why do I think this? Because his damage won't have to stay at 2 anymore. Instead of perplexing bad attack stats from DC, CT, and XP, you can get great all-around stats and consistency in Spidey (and he's a wildcard, to boot!) and only have to use one perplex to make him totally worth every point!

What do y'all think?

hmm i like the way you think. i believe a lot of fan favorites will get played after we get so much perplex

Not to be facetious, but if another figure is required to make Spidey "worth his points" then Spidey isn't worth his points. :D In the short term I think your thinking is sound, but tying Spidey up with a Perplexer who has 10 space LOS to him all the time could make IC Spidey a difficult winner compared with other choices. I'm more excited for the Xplosion U Spidey.

You are not the first one to think of this. I have now seen threads talking about making Rogue, Magneto, Whirlwind, and now Spiderman super pieces thanks to the new cheap perplex in Xplosion.

quixotequest has it right. It's not the old pieces that are now good, it's the new cheap perplex that is great.

I like Lucky's spirit to think of ways to make a favorite icon like Spidey, who got short-changed in IC, find new life in game play. But still, combine cheap Perplex with a different, already sensational figure, and IC Spidey still looks overpriced. I doubt Xplosion's Perplex will be spent toward Lucky's noble aspirations.

Does anyone know whether you can use Perplex to add a target to someone's range value? That'd make Explosion's generous helping of EE figures much more damaging...
