CT No's 97, 98, 99 and 100 - what are they ?

There appears to be a gap in the sequancing numbers of CT and the CT LE's.

Anyone know what these four figs are ?

Here's my guess. (i don't know for sure)

Nick fury and nightcrawler were originally planned to be REV's, but were changed to uniques later on. I think that the 97, 98, 99, 100 account for the missing figures. When they released LE's, they forgot to start the numbers earlier.

The story is that when CT was still being developed, Nightcrawler and Fury were REV versions. (thus the set had 100 figs.) Later, they changed them to uniques.

I guess they already had the LE's planned/produced when they still had 100 figs in the set. Thus the gap.

that is a good question...

i doubt this is the reason but for the longest time CT was rumored to be 100 fig's but then was revealed to be 96... dropping the count from 100 to 96 would explain the four missing figs

Awww that sucks, i just thought there was a gap because ppl still hadn't gotten hold of these pieces.....guess that means I'll never see my LE Reed Richards......poor Mr. Fantastic, always left out :(

Clobberin' Time was supposed to have 100 figures.

Both Nightcrawler and Nick Fury were supposed to be R/E/V versions.

30 R/E/V figures and 10 uniques would be 100 figures.

Since they decided on making Nightcrawler and Nick Fury Uniques, instead....

That reduced the amount of figs to 96.

The LEs were already pritned starting at 101...


So figures 97-100 just don't exist.
