AoA expansion....

You know what kind of expansion should be part of Heroclix? An AoA, Age of Apocalypse themed one. There would be alternate versions of X-men like Storm, Iceman, Colossus, etc. Also, uniques could be characters who survived AoA. Blink, X-Man, Holocaust, Dark Beast and Sugar Man come to mind. Wouldnt that be cool? I think so.

Now don't get me wrong here. I loved AoA and have an AoA X-men team (which will be even better once I have Storm & Iceman in there instead of Weather Wizard & Blizzard). I just don't think we need an AoA expansion.

Really, from a game-stat perspective how different would the characters be from their current clix versions? Not very, if at all.

Would it be nice to have the scupts? Yes. But if you really want them, find someone to do mods and repaints.

There are plenty of people out there who aren't X-fans, and there are plenty of mainstream characters we're still missing. Throw in some of the figures we don't have yet (Blink, Sunfire), but don't base an entire expansion around it.

well, I wouldn't make them as a set just yet.
but some figs could be "redone" as AoA figs (like Cyclops) so they have a better Cyclops and bring out a different fig.

Morph,Blink,Dark Beast etc. would be very nice !:)

If they were to do anything like this they should just do an all alternate reality expansion featuring Earth X/Universe X/Paradise X, AoA, Heroes Reborn (BLARGH!), Days of the Future Past, and any number of other random alternate marvels. To keep in with the theme they could include Captain Britain or other Captain Britain Corps. members and the eXiles, btoh of which were defenders of realities. It'd be cool huh?

I thought it was a pretty creative story with interesting alternate version of characters. Dark Beast experimenting on other mutants, the treachery of Sinister, Quicksilver as a team leader in the x-men, etc......

Great idea! I'd love to see an Alternate Realities set for Marvel that included all that! To make it even better, include What If? !

DC should do a set also, with Kingdom Come, Elseworlds, and the different Earths from Crisis and other stories.

How could think AOA "sucked?" It was a great storyline. Better than most at the time it came out.
I work for a news paper, and a bit of a fan boy when it comes to comics. When the first X-Men movie came out, myself and a couple of reporters sat down, and along with the other stories about the movie and X-men, we had to come up with a list of defining moments that have sculpted the X-men over the years. AOA was one of them.

To just disregard it as "suck," says nothing. What "sucked" about it? List some things.

There were plenty of non X-Men Marvel people in the Age of Apocalypse. The Hulk alone would be a sweet figure. I do agree that a full set of them would be cool, just because I really loved that storyline, but I don;t see it as pheasable. A set of all alternate reality figs would however be very marketable.

Wouldn't it also be cool if they did a set based of the Amalgam comics, with combinations of both Marvel and DC characters? Just having Spider-Boy would kick!

An AoA Cyclops would be great, shorter range (1 eye) but BIIIIG damage, after all, he then has no qualms about killing. We don't need another Wolverine, but AoA Beast, Quicksilver Storm and Jean would rock! First though, I WANT MARROW!

That would be great. I loved that storyline. And hopefully if it was made, we could get a better version of Apocalypse. Not that he was that bad in Xplosion, but I just dont see him being weaker than the Thing or Hulk, which he is in Xplosion. Rogue would kick arse too with telekenisis (magnetism). X-Man though, wow, how would you make him? He's quite possibly the most powerful mutant who ever lived in any universe, even more than Apocalypse. Forge would be cool. A new Magneto would rock. Abyss would be really cool. The Bedlam Bros. would rock. Wow, everyone would be cool.
