Hi, if this has been asked (and beat to dead) already i aplogize ..but

Mindcontrol says use a ranged attack to give an opposing figure an action, but then it goes on with make a close combat or ranged attack..does this mean i can use mindcontrol against someone i'm in base contact with ? also ..if i choose to make the close combat attack ..does it ignore energy shield/deflection then ?

About to have my first sorta-tournament tommorow and i'm kinda wondering if i should put in more mindcontrollers :)

thanks

Maybe i should be a bit more specific ..since the pac says: Give this character a close combat or ranged combat action, i assumed it just ment you had to spend a combat action to use mind control, but you used a ranged attack

But i was just reading the faq..which states:
Mind Control is a twostep process. First, use your figure with Mind Control to make a ranged or close combat attack against an opponent. If successful, you may give that figure an action, as though it were yours.

Which clearly states i can use a close combat attack ...

hope this makes sense :)

Mind Control is either a:

Ranged Combat Action which requires Line of Fire and Range

or

Close Combat Action with requires base-to-base and on the same elevation.

Thanks for the answer ..been playing for like months without ever using mindcontrol in base to base , and i can tell you ..it's been a pain to try to move Xavier away from someone so he could use mindcontrol again :)
