I am shooting for a large game based on the web show The Guild. If you are unfamiliar and have a few hours to kill, here is every episode: http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/blog.php?b=3409

I am completely rewriting this thing, so this will not resemble a possible season 5, but rather an encapsulating of 1-4. If you want to drop out, let me know. Jerry and Darq are more than welcome to join now, as this game will not in any way resemble the last one.

I have no start date in mind, but with so many people needed for the game, I imagine we can start it when we get enough players.

I have heard lots of good stuff about this series but have never watched it.

I am willing to support the game, with the caveat that I know zilch about the source material.

I think in a flue ridden rage I deleted one or two of the Geek Icon PMs, and though I think I remember them all, it wouldn't hurt to resend them. Also, I will probably be more proactive with trying to get sign ups after Idiot Meal, which has been the epitome of fun =]

I am looking for a large game of 32 people. and when you sign up, I need you to send in the name of a geek pop icon and a possible gaming avatar for that person (The geek pop icon can be real or fictitious).

I think I don't quite understand.
Can you (or somebody else) please give an example?

I updated the OP with the 2 Kevin Smith examples, and I changed the word Avatar to "screen name" for clarity. I did not intend for this to be confusing, and I apologize.

So it seems like enough people want to play that they may accidentally start a new Guild game forgetting they are already signed up for this one.

I may be able to lower the entry to 20, which will leave me with just 6 more people to play.

Personally I felt that the awesomeness of the Guild could not be possibly contained by one mafia thread.

Looks like I am going to have several projects take up a lot of my time for the next few weeks, so if I get the minimum sign up, I will not be able to start until the second or third week of May. I currently have 2 games that I want to run, so I will only run them one at a time. Whichever one fills up first will launch first, and I will send out roles for the second as soon as the first one ends. Please remember to submit everything that I need from you between now and then. Thanks.

That is most likely due to the fact that I went on a flu driven tirade and deleted my inbox before writing down a lot of the first ones sent in...

I will be doing this game, but I am going to have to completely re-write it. That given, anyone who has helped me with this game in the past can now join, as this will not even resemble the one planned. I will keep the submissions open until I have a good game to run =]

19 is going to make for a perfect sized game. I will still take some alternates just in case some people drop, and since several games just started, I will plan this one to start on July 25th. This will be after my week long class and after I move. I do plan on getting a new job this week, so I may not have internet at work, so I will need to plan on opening/closing at non-business hours and such. Should be fun nonetheless =D

waiting on Morph and DB to confirm that they are playing, then I need to solidify the roles, and I will be starting this immediately after. Jerry is going to take Stan's place and Stan is going to help with balance.
