ATTENTION POKéMON TRAINERS!!
~~ KANTO POKéMON TOURNAMENT ~~
Come one, come all, to the annual Tournament of Champions, hosted by the Kanto Pokémon Foundation!
The twist? Enter 6 Pokémon, and we'll choose one of them randomly, with which you will have to battle. This tournament looks for a champion who can manage a whole team, rather than one who can treasure a single favourite.
Sign up, and get ready to battle it out, to determine who is Kanto's Pokémon Champion!
This game will feature a system similar to my Battlestar Galactica game, where the ideas of day and night phases is revised. That said, still working out some of the mechanics, so that all might change.
When you sign up, please PM me a list of 6 Pokemon that you'd like to have in your team. I will choose one of these, with which you will play the game.

OH MY GOD!!! I had almost forgotten all about that!!! My bad guys, my bad indeed. I don't even remember who was still playing.
I know that Arnim Zola was still there, but I forget who the last few people were. We were stuck in an endless loop, so I figured that the remaining players would all be the "winners."
I'm really sorry about dropping the ball on that one. It was a fun game, and I miss running it. I wish I was able to complete it. Really, I'm sorry about that. I hope you guys don't hate me for it.

I got sidetracked after the second gym...got in the other day for Dreamworld because I forgot it was supposed to be up on the 31st of last month and it wasn't up yet :-/

My teams kinda ehh as of now. I played through with one team and only have 1 of those still on it, so I have to train the rest up
I started with Snivy (immediately renamed him Natrix). I'm now using a Pidove (renamed Pazuzu), Blitzle (renamed Joules and he blows), the pants-dropping dark/fighting guy (renamed Bronx), and that weird fire beast thing that I forget his name.

In' doubles a Ferrothorn and Jellicent can wall everything. I typicaly play doubles leading with Gigalith and Jellicent. First turn I set up stealth rocks. Second turn Gigalit uses explode which either takes out or nearly takes out both of the opponents and Jellicent takes nothing.

As for the current activity review, been playing White myself. Started with Snivy (Chloro) and have since smacked the Elite 4 and such with Serperior solo. Currently exploring the east side of the continent.

i also recently restarted fire red(my DS broke:() and have a charizard, graveler, beedrill, hitmonlee, & some stupid stuff while i have the daycare guy raise my machop a bit.
i'm not one to rename my pokemon.....but when i get a new DS i shall find the nickname guy & call my dialga "kamina"!

If you're into the competitive side of the game, weather dominates this generation so far. I just came to that realization and am in a massive team overhaul, converting my team to sandstorm based

i never played too competitively. i liked using the team i had because they were awesome.

There's been some, like castform. I think he's more referring to the weather effects in the game. I'm stuck in a hailstorm now, and it's awful for my pokemon... unless I'm using the lame ice cream cone pokemon.

Yeah I was referring to weather effects. I'm thinking of using this team:
Hippowdon
Tyranitar
Ferrothorn
Excadrill
Reuniclus (with magic guard doesn't take sandstorm damage)
Jellicent (can heal itself so sandstorm damage isn't a threat)

On the note of 'running out of ideas,' a majority of the GenV Pokemon are just tweaks of GenI. Some examples such as the new Tauros and Paras. And they seem to be stuck in a rut with Fire starters going Fire/Fighting. Of which makes me think of a giant chicken, monkey, and a pig wearing wearing fire-retardant suits and lugging hoses of water.
Anyways, have no idea how this Mafia game thing plays. Never been a fan of using weather moves though. My standard MO in the video games is to hit hard and fast with my most appropriate power move. Set up with the right 4 moves, can have an answer for anything. But anyway, that all changes in the environment I am sure. One of my chosen Pokemon is capable of learning a damaging weather move, the rest just buff. But I will stick with my six. Have not heard back yet from the OP however. :noid:

They have a Ligthning version of Ponyta as well...looking to see what they did with pikachu...but they also have pidove which is the same thing as pidgey :-/ I am calling it alternate universe Kanto

That is my biggest complaint with Black/White. I wanted more originality. Sure, an electric zebra is different from an electric mouse, and there were no dark cats (or dark pokemon period) in the first generation, but... come on... Why not at least make the starters unique? ANOTHER Fire/Fighting type? At least Snivy doesn't end up being Grass/Poison.

I also don't like wasting time on weather using weather moves, which is why I use Tyranitar and Hippowdon (abilities auto sandstorm). I lead with Hippowdon, who Stealth Rocks on first turn. That sets up for pretty high passive damage when combined. I also have a few burners/toxicers (including Reuniclus with Flame Orb/trick) as well as a Ferrothorn with Rocky Helmet. I basically use half my team as tanks that forcing insane amounts of passive damage and the other half is full out offense with high amounts of type coverage.
