View Full Version : Rooftop Chaos and Mucho Mind Control
Ok I want to find out if it is okay for two figures in the middle of two different buildings to shoot at each other.
Also is it legal to mind control a figure with no action tokens and then mind control him again on the same turn with a different mc figure. So the mind controled figure would take and action and then another action on the same turn.
dont reply to that second question, I just saw a post below that clarified that question.
To the first statement I would say yes because they are both elevated so they are on level terrain.
As for the second statement I would also agree but, since it isn't in the faq i don't know for sure. In my tourneys I would allow it.

From the Rules
Before making a ranged combat attack, you must determine if the attacker has a clear line of fire to the target, and if the target is within range.
Also from the Rules
If both the attacker and target are on elevated clear terrain, nothing affects the line of fire except elevated hindering and blocking terrain, and other elevated figures.
So, as long as you have the range, and the various airconditioner units are not blocking, you can fire across the street to hit a figure on the other roof.

No you may not Mind-Control & push the same enemy character twice in a round with two of your own different MC figures. When the enemy is mind-controlled it becomes part of your team. Any member of your team can only take one action per turn.

Sorry Quixotequest, but once the MC'ed figure has completed his action, he immediately returns to his original team. This leaves him free to be MC'ed again by another of your figures and used as a pawn. This is only prohibited if he already had one token when the first MC'er takes over, since ou cannot MC someone with 2 tokens.

TheEnigma and iam_emperor are correct, with the added stipulation for the first questions that no elevated figures are in the way of LoF.
Actually, I don't believe that you can mind-control a charcter twice in one turn. There is no mention of this in FAQ but in the rule book it clear states:
"No character may EVER be given more than one action per turn. "
Mind controlling a character tiwce is giving a character 2 actions in a single turn. I don't believe this works.

This was a ruling put out by Magister back in the days before the current WizKids Forum. When asked why, it was said that that restriction only applied to your own figures, and so either twice Incapacitating or twice MCing an opposing figure could bring a character from 0 tokens to 2 in a single turn.
Ah, I stand corrected :)
Missed that ruling (should probably be FAQed...)
