Rules, stolen from my last game and then edited and expanded upon.
This is a mafia game! There are two primary groups the first is the town, an uninformed (don’t know who each other are) majority whose general objective is to eliminate all threats to the town and the second is the mafia, an informed (know who each other are) minority whose general objective is to eliminate all threats to them (the largest being the town.) There may be other groups or individuals with other objectives. Every day phase players may post in this thread and vote to lynch (remove from game) one player in the hopes that it is beneficial to their ultimate objective.

This game will be more complicated than what's described there, as nearly everyone has some sort of 'special thing' about them. Doesn't mean everyone has a night power, but you never know...
2) When you vote, please do so by saying Vote: [Player] in bold. If you wish to change your vote, please say Change Vote: [Player] instead.
3) You may NOT send a PM to anyone about this game unless your role explicitly says you can. This is cheating.
4) Do NOT edit your posts in this thread. This is cheating.
5) Please do not copy-and-paste anything from any PM I send you to the thread. This is also cheating.
6) Please do not post in this thread after you are killed. While not cheating, this is rather tacky and leads to a cranky moderator.
7) It is in your best interest to try and post when you are able to do so.
8) Phases are 24 hours long during the week and 36 hours during the weekend unless stated otherwise. That doesn't mean you have to use all that time though... the sooner I get night actions the sooner the game can reopen.
9) If you do not send in a night action I will make you my ##### for the night. Exactly what that means may vary. Randomization, modkill, or just screwing around with you... who knows? Even if you do not want to do anything that particular night you should tell me so.
10) You will only be told your action failed if you are expecting a return PM.
11) If two or more night actions conflict, the action submitted first gets priority.
12) Remember that this is just a game. Have fun and behave.

13) I will use NPCs at times. Just because someone appears in a writeup is no guarantee that they are in the game.

It's a cruel joke and an abomination.

Somewhere in town, an officer of the law was performing his duties. An alarm had come in, and he responded in his typical violent way. This, however, was a problem that could not be solved by kicking in doors. The officer was greeted with a shower of bullets, and soon collapsed silently wher a lesser man might have screamed.
“Too late, pig” he heard a voice say. “Our plan is in motion, and you won't be able to stop it!”
The officer would have looked surprised when he realized who the speaker was – if he was at all capable of expressing emotion, that is. However, he died as he had lived: quiet and stoically.
“Guess that puts the Genghis Khan movie on the shelf indefinitely. Good thing.”

Quebbster is dead! He was Steven Seagal (Town), law officer and asskicker whose acting range consisted of three different facial expressions!

As darkness fell, a small stocky shape wearing a hooded sweater and big sunglasses carrying something was making its way through the streets – it was clear that whatever they were up to, it was no good. However, no one seemed to notice the shape as it made it to its destination and put down whatever it was carrying outside a door before vanishing back into the night.

A burly man approached a scantily clad woman. “Hey sista!” he said. “This is a pretty dangerous neighbourhood. A woman with your looks and your clothes could end up in real trouble here. You want some company?”.
“Yeah, thanks, but no thanks” the woman replied. “I'm a gangsta #####, I can handle myself. I don't need no man.” She continued her stroll alone. She only made it a few blocks down before a pair of powerful hands grabbed her from behind and dragged her into a dark alley, never to be seen again...

High in the sky, someone – or rather something – was watching. Unfortunately, even being in orbit doesn't necessarily make you safe from threats. Something was approaching at escape velocity, and before the high-tech contraption could react (not that there was much it could do), it had been knocked out of its path and started plummeting towards Earth. Soon a new shooting star could be seen down on the ground, to the delight of everyone – though some enjoyed it a little extra.

Somewhere in town, a club was packed to the limit and then some. A very successful band was holding a concert – normally they didn't do club gigs, but they got an offer they could not refuse. The concert was a huge success, and the audience's exstacy knew no bounds when a young man and a middle-aged man trying to look like a young man stepped up on the stage and performed a duet – the band backed them up as best they could, but the fusion of styles was odd, yet intriguing and strangely compelling.
Once the concert was over, the band returned backstage. Outside their dressing room, they found a gift basket, and though it did not contain what they expected it was still a welcome gift after a night's work. They brought it with them as they retired to their quarters, and soon a violent explosion shook the entire club. The dressing room had been reduced to a smoldering ruin...

DarqFeonix is dead! He was Lil' Kim (Town), gangsta porno rapstress, who made annoyance into an art form.

Ouchmaker is dead! He was the Clementine Space Probe (Town), whose journey of scientific discovery is now over for good!

Wade Wilson is dead! He was The Grateful Dead (Town), now more than ever deserving to be called “The Dead”.

Does that read to anyone else like someone tried to Bodyguard or Doctor DF? 'cause if that's what happened, then it sounds like at least one person (SK or mafia, most likely) has some kind of super killing power.

This does not bode well.

The funny thing is that morph is voting for me for allegedly targeting him according to Chirocker, but won't tell me what I allegedly did to him, while I am supposedly the guy who did it. And, no, it is not "obvious scum" not necessarily tell people why you are voting for them. If you think they are up to no good, it is a perfectly valid tactic to allow themselves to dig their own hole that much deeper.

So, yes, please tell us what you did to Mal :)

First of all I they're saying I targeted morph, not Mal. Secondly I am David Blaine the town busdriver. My birthday is tomorrow as an aside. I busdrove myself with FMF94 cause I figured he's a low profile target whom ppl wouldn't try to kill.

So if chi thinks he targeted me, he really targeted FMF94, which is why I'm aslking morph what exactly happened to him, because if it was bad, it may be that FMF is scum. But obviously morph is neither dead nor silenced so I want to know what exactly was so bad that he'd start a lynch train on me for now causing two townie outtings...

We are all telling the truth and someone else was involved screwing everything up.

We will not be able to prove if another party involved today, but we can prove that one of us is either telling the truth or lying; and your claim was the weakest. That is what is going on.

Here is the problem with MDs and BDs:

You target FMF for a MD and get Silver because he busdrove himself with FMF.

If the mod allows you MD Silver, it gets messy because now the link that allowed you to target Silver in the first place gets broken.

When I mod, if something were to mess with that connection, I usually just have the effect hit the non-BD player; but I cannot speak for this mod. If this mod had you MD FMF to avoid the paradox, he could have very well been MDed into Morph.

All of this notwithstanding, it still comes down to do we believe Silver or FMF. I personally think 50% hider sounds like a made up role, but I have given out weirder.

i almost feel as if you make Mags fail, since he can't misdirect SL because of the paradox. If Mags doesn't fail, then he would have to misdirect FMF since he can't misdirect SL, IMO.

I have to agree with you here.

The selfish part could backfire, though, if you're not careful. You pick someone who is quiet and unlikely to be targeted and that could be who the Vig goes after. You could get yourself killed this way. Although that probably doesn't end up happening too often.

I agree with half of what you said. The late vote yesterday did bother me too. Looking back on the last day phase, we were close to hitting the 24 hour mark when we reached majority. During the phase, I didn't realize how close we were to the end of the phase. So his late vote seemed a bit odd.

Today's comment didn't seem off though. I think it's normal to ask for info. from the outed info. gatherers.

(Needless to say, a little protection tonight would be nice, please?)

I don't mind waiting to hear from him... but if it comes down to lynching him without hearing from him or letting him slip away because the day ends, you know I'll choose the former.

Good point. I went back and reread the last day phase.

ChiRocker pulled his vote. I thought it was you pulling your vote towards the end of the day phase and then adding it back on. My bad. :o

Today, there was a lot less confusion. Someone stepped up, organized a lynch mob, and led them through the streets. When they arrived at their destination, the mob faced a locked door. Being the polite sort, they knocked first.
"Who is it?" a frail voice asked.
"It's a violent mob. Could you please open the door and let us in?"
"Oh dear, I'd love to, but a violent mob sounds like something that would be riddled with bacteria. I'm afraid I simply cannot let you into my sanctuary."
"Shouldn't your sanctuary be located in a penthouse suite at a luxury hotel though?" someone in the mob asked.
"Yes... isn't this the Beverly Hills Hotel?"
"I'm afraid not, sir. It's an ordinary condo, and on the bottom floor too."
"Well... That is the one weak point in my argument...."
Upon hearing this, the mob lost its temper, broke the door down and proceeded to administer an overdose of kickass to the condo's inhabitant.

Y'know, I was hoping I wouldn't have to remind people about missing actions this night too. Oh well. Can't open right now anyway, but in a few hours the game is opening, missing actions or not.

For the third night in a row, the concert at the club was sold out. The crowd waited in anticipation, and cheered when the man they had come to see stepped up on the scene.
”How ya doin, y'all” he said. ”It's a pleasure to be here tonight, and I heard y'all know how to party!”
”That's right!” a bearded man wearing a plaid shirt and a cowboy hat in the audience yelled. ”Let's start the square dance!”
”Square dancing ain't exactly my type of dance, sir...” Suddenly the performer was interrupted as a masked man wearing green jumped up on the stage. Before anyone could react there was a flash of steel, and suddenly the performer had been mortally wounded. The green-clad man jumped off the stage and rushed towards the exit, but suddenly a burly man reached out of the stunned crowds.
”Where do you think you're going?” the burly man said, before promptly knocking the masked man unconscious. ”You're staying here until the police gets here!”

Immortal_Raven is dead! He was Jay-Z (Town), hugely successful hip-hop artist.

Iceman425 is dead! He was Scott Porter (Neutral), possibly the world's most famous Heroclix player!
