Okay, so I will be the first to admit that All Stars 11 wasn't great. It dragged, nothing ever happened and between a cult and an uber-don... it was not good.

So, now that I had a chance to cool down with my Fables Mafia, let's try this again. All Stars 12!

Munchkin was my first game here, and still a favorite.
It would be cool if the Cleric got a chance to redeem himself... But competition is stiff.

Another Fables is also a possibility. I left the door open for it and I would like to include some of the smaller characters next time. With the first game, I stuck to the major ones.

Such a shame, as I enjoyed the last one (save for maybe the last 3-5 cycles, which I still liked, but was just super frustrating), and I love the idea behind the series =[

I want to keep running them, but no one is signing up.

I could scale it back a bit, but I've already had to do that once and the smaller these games get the harder they are to do (less games, less roles per game, harder to fake claim, etc.)

I'll leave this open a bit and see what happens.

I had not played in any of the games from AS11 and I ended up winning it. Sure I got super lucky and snagged a Mafia member into my cult who was sneaky enough to throw his entire team under the bus, but for the most part the game was fun and exciting (got pretty unexciting toward the end when the average phase was around 48 hours with only like 5 people left, but that was pretty much a direct cause of my snagging a mafia member).

Do you really consider it begging? I look more as it reaching out to friends we know have played the mafia games before and may have just missed it... or at the very least, being proactive enough to try to get the game off the ground so the few people who did sign up actually get to play.

I just figure, if they wanted to play, they would. Me sending them something seems like I am pressuring them into playing a game that maybe they didn't want to play for whatever reasons. And I don't want anyone to feel obligated. I want players who want to play.

The old "put a link to the signup thread in your signature" trick usually works pretty well. Not everyone frequents the Mafia forum on a daily basis, you know. Advertising isn't really begging, either. :)

B'sides, this was when I just started playing... I wanted themes I was at least decently familiar with back then. Like Plush Chtulhu. :p

Wasn't your first game normalview's Super Friends game? If you are lucky, that may be included in All Stars 15... You have a bit left to go. :)

Unless you have an eidetic memory or are a compulsive note-taker, I'm not sure playing in an All-Stars game with games you've played in before would help you. :p

...you do realize you're talking to the guy who likes trying to figure out what roles made the game, right? Last game made it painfully obvious that me and Darq are the only ones who ever bother to do background research for these games... and knowing the games just makes that research a little easier.
