Blades and Claws and Fangs Oh my.

Ok I have a marvel 300pt constructed no dupes tourney coming up. I really don't expect a lot of cheese in the tourney but it will be full of good teams.

Here is what i'm thinking so far it's based around stealth and b/c/f


U spiral
U elktra
V logan
E Black panther
E black cat
E aim med
U moondragon.

Strategy is pretty straightforward.

moony throws spiral and then picks up someone as she moves in everyone basically stays stealthed and waits for someone to come to them or charges in at a good moment. moony plays taxi and tries to herd people toward the army.

other than cheese head teams i really need to know what is this teams weakness and is it tourney worhty or should i got for a more traditional team.

I know they aren't mobile but other weaknesses than that.

I have other versions including using unique wolvie over logan (charge adds some mobility)
using a doombot and a wasp over moondragon.
etc etc

Thoughts?

You might be better off with Jean Grey and a taxi or two fliers instead of the Moondragon.

Your team needs mobility; BCF and stealth are great, especially against ranged teams. Problem is you might never catch them.

Also, I love Spiral - the Longshot run was some of my favorite books, but she never works for me in tourneys.

Anyway; I'd suggest:

V. Sabertooth or U. Wolverine - see below
U. Spiral
U. Elektra
E. Black Cat
R. Black Panther - gives free move to Spiral and Cat
E. Hydra Medic
E. Wasp or E. Doombot
R. Jean Grey

If you go with the Wasp, you can go to U. Wolverine and get back the E. Black Panther...some variations you might try.

Logan is a great figure; I might keep him - but Sabertooth or Wolvie might provide some variety with chage.

I've played similar teams in tourneys and done well.

You might want to drop BP to R, and Logan to E to fit another flyer (R Vulture)

I totally agree with WarUlt. Moondragon needs a taxi(and Vulture would be perfect), taxi her around so she can use Tk to move everyone else around.

ok so i shave points on bp and logan to add a vulture as a taxi for moondragon

any suggestions on how to defend against a lot of range?
just placement of my guys behind stealthed members or is range going to become my new nemisis.?

I have a team that has been doing very well lately, and it is exactly like yours except for instead of Spiral I use Nick Fury. He doesnt seem better on paper, but he is. Like U Elektra, ranged shots from stealth are awesome. Also consider exp Inv Woman, stealth and flight is nice! I also like U Wolvy over Logan.

Keep moondragon! And use her MC, its so key on this team. As for range defense, just use your stealth and WAIT. Your opponent will have to come to you...make sure you are clear of tokens and then spring the trap. It will be bloody on both sides, but you should come out on top. Keep Moony and Black Cat safe!
