Mastermind has Super Senses :) And you still can't smack an object on top of blades. Blades damage is locked, so 2 is 2 and the object is destroyed, if you're using Blades.

Mastermind's still only taking two from the blades, because you can't add damage to the roll, it's a locked value and can't be further modified.

Well he controlled that centre area pretty well - I didn't dare move in range of mind control with some of the damage my team could do to itself!

I think it may be dependent on this :) I will make you re-roll with Wolverine taking the token. This will be the game decider I think. If I lose him, I lose some of my major damage dealing capabilities.
I do think I'm going to want a rematch on this as well :) This is really fun. I do have to say, the entire feel of the game has changed from HoT forward. The game is more fast paced, and more fun. With the new rules changes, this happens again with more actions being available so 600 point games aren't painful.
So re-roll ... let the bones fly my man!

I'm tempted to try the same team again. I have so many X-teams I want to try, but this one seems like it should be able to, while being themed goodness, be able to give Mags and team a run for their money. However, they are missing some key things:

You could drop Cable and add Elixer and Warpath, puts you 20 under.
Think about it though, under the new rules: Wolverine and Elixer is golden. Wolverine hits Leadership, takes a token off of Elixer and someone else (with how his SP works, he gets to take 2 tokens off with the new rules). Elixer then heals the unavoidable damage they take.
Serious, -constant- healing for everyone. Plus, you've got prob :)

or even if you wanted, we could do a pseudo draft...get Dbauers and maybe some others into this...get all these teams together (hopefully without doubling up on characters in places), get maybe the 16 best ones (get some solid 'good guy' teams in there) and do a 'for fun' tournament? :)

pfff...it'd be pretty easy. I have a desk job and am on the realms pretty much 40 hours a week. I'll try to make some 16 teams, minimizing doubling up on figures (for instance, it's silly easy to put Psylocke on teams, I found out).

There. I'm pretty sure that I got away without using a single non-generic character twice. Couple figures I could really fit in there, Sunfire being one. I'm playing around with swapping out the LE professor X with the GSX one on that Brood Team, but that's just nasty (i.e. I'm doing it :))

Dude ... that's really epic. No Black Ops X-Force? I'm surprised! I suppose they get carved up pretty fast though when you take Cable, Wolverine, Psylocke and Angel out.

And Warpath and Domino...really, it'd be a team of Vanisher, X-23, Wolfsbane and Elixer ;).
I mean, we could drop one of the teams out there and throw on Fantomex and Deadpool. Onslaught or Apocalypse could go pretty easily ;)
And...just for kicks...we could have a 1200 pt round...if we wanted to combine the Horsemen teams during a round...have them team up against Gold and Blue...or the Shi'Ar and Starjammers...or... ;)

Really? I remember reading the Avengers/FF/X-Men issue against Onslaught, absolutely loved it. "Behold my mighty hand" I believe it was. Geez.

Yeah I loved it. My wife bought Uncanny X-Men 337 and 338 for me when I was having an existential crisis about my future and they were the wrap up of the Onslaught story and the reappearance of Angel's feathered wings (oh the irony 10 years later). I think Astonishing was a perfect mix, very similar to why I loved Young Avengers so much. Like, there's -awesome- stuff to see if you're an old timey fan (like Shadowcat busting out the 'Now it's MY turn', ala' Wolverine vs the Hellfire Club). But really...if you look at it again, a lot of that stuff doesn't even matter. Cassandra Nova is really the only old villain that actually matters continuity wise, and that storyline is fairly accessible and easy to look up. Everyone else is brand new and Whedon created. Think about it ;).
I definitely have those breaks in my runs during 'broke' periods. Man those suck. Most recently, I just stopped picking up singles all together. I made a choice that they're a pain to store, and I love how Invincible 1-14, Walking Dead 1-13, Green Lantern and X-Men look on my shelf all in perfect order in trade format...I absolutely love it. It's cheaper too. I'm eventually going to give all my singles to my little cousin who's just getting into comics, or sell them off for whatever I can get.
We'll see what happens. Oh, and X-Men: Gold to counteract your Blue :p

I agree - I love seeing trades on my shelf in order. I've also stopped buying floppies - I'm hoping that JMSs desire to do only TPBs will push the industry into putting out more material in that format first.
I also like digital comics on my iPad now - it means that I have 50 comics at least that travel with me on the train to meetings, that's a great way to unwind.
We'll see what happens. Oh, and X-Men: Gold to counteract your Blue :p

Jean angst? All the Jean angst I remember is when they teased about bringing Jean back, when they were secretly bringing back Colossus, which I thought was clever.

Yeah, I must be misremembering - I remembered it being present more. The bit with Colossus was actually brilliantly done.
