Buffalo NY New Player

Does anyone play Heroclix in the Buffalo NY Area? I called Dave and Adams card world to see if they hosted it. Dave and Adams has not supported Heroclix for years now. I am looking for any person to play with, especially at the University at Buffalo.

I emailed wizkids to see if they had any posters I could hang around campus to strike up some interest, with no luck.

Anyone in Buffalo willing to get some games together?

I just moved to the area 4 days ago. My son and I are both into heroclix and were part of an active tournement scene in New Jersey. We will be available to play in May when I move my family up.

Well I'm not from Buffalo but I'm from Niagara Falls and I do go to Dave and Adams sometimes to play Magic the gathering so I am ok with driving a little to play. If you do get something organized let me know.

Our store is in Brockport. We usually play in LeRoy. It's about an hour from Buffalo and we're always looking for new members

There is also a comic store in Victor,New York. It is about an hour drive from Buffalo. They hold Heroclix tournys Friday nights. My son and I have gone a couple times and won a couple prizes.

I'm in Rochester...my (almost 9yo) son & I play. We'll have to check out the Victor store, Rooster. I know Millenium Games in Henrietta has clix on tuesdays, and Comics ETC in Village Gate does on Sundays. Blubeard on this board here probably has more info than I, since we're newbies.

Ya I play at comics etc. they play every sunday. Pair-a-dice games which I also play at and is in the same building as comics etc. has tourneys every thursday night. Both are great and would encourage anybody to go there.
I will have to check out that victor store some time.

I run Events At Comics Etc. in village Gate every Sunday afternoon.

I also run events at pair-a-dice games (also in village gate) currently on thursday evenings, but soon to be switching to saturday afternoons.

Me and a couple of friends who play Heroclix and are in the comic book club are trying to get others interested. We held a training day for everyone who wanted to learn how to play. A lot of people showed up and it was fun. You might want to try to do something like that. Now that we know a lot are interested we are going to try to buy a brick and have a sealed tournament or something, but give the money to charity. My school is SUNY Fredonia, I definitely understand that it is hard to find places in this Western NY area.

As far as I know in Buffalo the couple of comic shops we have in the area barely (if at all) support clix. Queen City Comics doesn't even carry them, Don's Atomic only carries new stuff around launch time as for the couple of others I have no idea. I tried talking to the owner at Queen City a couple of years ago about supporting clix but he said there was no interest in the game in the area.

You are correct, but he has made it clear that he is a college student and might not have transportation. So even the 45min drive to Batavia could be difficult.

I'm a student in buffalo and i'm from the syracuse area and would love to hvae places in all three cities to play at. Please Pm with locations and upcoming events for April I would like to come and meet others.

My buddy and i started playing 3 weeks ago and have played at least 20 games but would love to see more experienced players play so we can verify lil odds and ends and make sure we're keeping it legit.

Also, if anyone knows anywhere locally that sells any help would be appreciated. So far we've found Avengers an JL boosters at walmart, Avengers movie gravity feeds an DKR starter kit at toys r us and bought out most o the stock they had left (Icons,HoT, GLmovie ) at Highland Hobby in Derby.

Hello all Buffalo area players, I have been in the area for a couple of years now and have not found anywhere to play (for tournaments), other than Rochester. I have been playing since the likes of Armor Wars and Fantastic Forces. My friend and I collect heavily and play as much as we can.

I live in North Tonawanda where a new gaming store has just opened, Dark Forest Games , and I am going to go down there in a couple days to see if they are interested in Heroclix (since they only do Magic and Warhammer currently) if I can drum up the players.

Yeah that is a little farther than Rochester for me, but I am practically in the Falls I am so far north. Going to Dark Forest Games Today to see If they are willing to be a place to play.
