I thought there was a real Hulk Promo, and now people are saying that it's fake and it's just the regular figure being given out at local comic shops? So are the Wolverine and Daredevil Promos fakes as well?
Thanks in advance. Please let me know soon as there is a Daredevil promo ending in a few days and I want to know if that's a fake one also.
Promos.
Mail Away LE's are NOT Promos. They are LE's
(eg John Stewart Green Lantern, OWAW Superman, Wolverine Berzerker) The following figures are the known promos :-
Dark Wolverine - Same as Vet Wolverine 75, but painted in blacks and greys. Only given out at one convention. Rare as heck.
Spider Man - same figure as REV Spider Man, but a different dial, colours, and cost...says promo on the dial.
Batman - same figure as REV Batman, with a very slightly different paintjob and head casting, and a different dial, colours, and cost...says promo on the dial. There are two different ones, but the only difference is the card in the bag, which has a different advert.
Johnny Alpha - Indy promo released at UK ToyFair. Says promo on dial - but has playable stats.
Judge Dredd - Indy promo released at UK ToyFair. Says promo on dial - but has playable stats.
Daredevil and Hulk - both are identical to the released IC Veteran versions - but are bagged, and have a little "advert" card. Don't open them or take them out of the bag - as you then can't prove they are promos.
Hulk (bag of Hulks) This is a bag of 50 or so Rookie Hulks, from IC. Identical in all respects to the IC Hulk. Rumoured to be being given out to distributors to do what they want with. Again, once out of the bag, I don't think you can prove they are promos.
None of these are fakes - it's just that there are several different promo "styles".
---if you found this useful, please send me the first Dark Wolverine you see!---

Please note:
The promo Daredevil, black Wolverine, and Hulk that were given out last year are the Veteran version.
The most recent promo (Bag-O-Hulks) is the Rookie version.

I think Noman is dead on. Keep in mind that certain promo figs (like the bag-o'-hulks Hulk) are only distinguished by their packaging.

Cool, so all I need now is that Daredevil promo, a Hulk promo not from the bag 'o Hulks, and those IndyClix promos and I'll be done my complete set. I need that Judge Dredd and Johnny Alpha!
...are there actually people who are going to be losing their minds trying to get a Rookie Hulk in a little baggie?
Yes.
I'm not one, but Yes.
Now, if you were to offer me Dark Wolverine 75...

Well, probably more like people who are going to be losing their minds because they paid $15 for a Rookie Hulk in a little baggie that's probably worth $0.25, especially now that they are just giving them away.

I know that illegitimate promos are the ones spawned by unmarried clix...
