If you get splashed w/ EE, do you roll w/ impervious and super sense?

no because it isn't a targeted attack.

Short answers for this one:

Super Senses = YES

Impervious = No

If you'd like a longer explanation, just ask.

IF your the original target you get the roll and the minus's from damage.

If your getting hit by the splash you are not the target of it. You dont get the -2 to damage or the roll. So you take full damage.

Sure, Tsannik, lay it on me....the people I play with always insist of proof, or a mile long explanation. :D

Tsannik I thought to get the roll for Imp you still need to be the target of the attack.

Can't my word alone just be the very proof?!

Anyways...

Like the other have stated....

Impervious requires (as stated on its PAC entry) that that figure must be the direct target of the attack. Since splash damage recipients are not the intended targets, then the Impervious person will not get to roll. In fact, if the attack roll is high enough, the Impervious figure will take the Splash damage without rolling to dodge or being able to reduce the damage.

Super Senses states that if the figure takes damage caused by s successful ranged or close combat attack, then he gets to roll. If the Energy Explosion attack roll is high enough to hit the primary target... and then that same roll is also high enough to hit the splash damage recipients... then the Super Senses figure is hit by a ranged combat attack and may roll to avoid damage.

This make sense?

Duhhh super senses. When you put yes down I was thinking of the Impervious part duhh.

Me not read words in correct order. (Yoda Syndrome)

In fact I skipped over every part that had super senses in it..

If you aren't targeted, super senses shouldn't get a dodge.

SUPER SENSES. This character can avoid being hit in combat. (Optional) When this character is successfully hit by a ranged or close combat attack, roll 1 six-sided die. On a result of 5 or 6, the attack misses this character instead.

You aren't being hit by an attack, you are being hit by the splash off of a targetted hit on another fig. If I am splitting hairs let me know. It wouldn't be the first time I was disagreed about a ruling. If the supersenses can roll for splash, it should also be able to roll for mastermind, in which case, I want my doom/white queen team.

Mastermind says you have to be the target.

Super Senses just says hit. Hit is everything. For the splash effect you still have to compare the roll to your defense to see if your hit. :D

MASTERMIND. This character can deflect damage onto a teammate in an adjacent square. (Optional) When this character is the target of a successful attack

SUPER SENSES. This character can avoid being hit in combat. (Optional) When this character is successfully hit by a ranged or close combat attack

It's all in the wording.... though you are not the target of an Energy Explosion attack, you were hit by an Energy Exlposion attack's Spash Damage. Energy Explosion is a Ranged Combat attack, therefore Super Senses will get to roll.

Mastermind specifically states that the figure must be the direct target of a successful attack. Where a Super Senses implies that you need only be the direct or indirect target of a successful attack.

Masterminding damage to a Super Sense figure...
Well, the damage transferred from Master mind is not considered an attack. In addition, Super Senses doesn't state that it will activate if the damage comes from a Super power (this is why Invulnerability/Toughness will work on Masterminded damage).

Does this make sense?
