As always when the weather turns warmer, I begin to think of convention season and this year is no different. Last year, GenCon was a huge success and we wanted to build upon that by going to Origins Game Fair (http://www.originsgamefair.com/) on June 23-26th, 2011 and having a HeroClix National Championship that will lead to the HeroClix World Championship at GenCon. That’s right; WizKids is going to both Origins and GenCon this year for twice the tourney action![...]

Next year you should get into Kapow! created by Mark Millar in the UK! His goal was to create a US style con in the UK and it was a MASSIVE success. You could have a national championship in the UK as well!
I wonder what 201 & 202 are going to be since Famine is #203.

As one who lives in Columbus OH, I'm rather excited about this.

i hope they go to dragoncon so i can get one
If we're supposed to be excited they Wizkids is going to TWO conventions I don't attend instead of just ONE I'm underwhelmed.
start touring the Cons in different regions of the Country.
Come to Dragon*Con… the biggest Convention in the SouthEast
Come To New York Comic Con…
I can't add another Convention and fly across the country just for Wizkids.

I agree with the last post. This announcement comes just only a few weeks after Wondercon in SF. The lack of a WizKids presence was felt and now the news that they want to expand their Con attendance really feels like a big snub to the West Coast. On top of it they are offering 3 con exclusives, that are not available otherwise. Instead of being excited that WizKids has re-entered the national con world, like the WizardWorld circuit, it seems that they have chosen to alienate 2/3 of the country instead.

They'll be available through other means later.

You can't blame WK for not wanting to go to any of the Wizard World Cons. Wizard World has manhandled their cons so badly the past 4 years that any dealer that goes there will lose money. Wizard has stuck the fork in themselves by not even attending their own cons anymore.
What's that sound...??
It's the fat lady singing.

Exactly. Only if you've gone and punished yourself would you know that Ro-gan speaks the truth.
It's sucktastic.

I'll add to this Fan Expo (they seem genuine in trying to make up for the last two years ) and a NECA presence would be greatly recieved by the gamers both in Toronto and in the nearby US (ohio , michigan and western NY)
